Cory led the installation and did an amazing job including rebuilding a bay window structure in the kitchen where the old wooden windows and wood framing had years of water damage that needed to be removed and rebuilt. Other companies that bid on this job did not seem concerned about the water damage in the bay window structure and wouldn't commit to exactly how far they could go to restore the integrity of this structure. Armond, came to meet with me and help me choose the right windows (from Milgard). He listened to my concerns about the kitchen window structured and assured me that Cory had the experience and skills needed to do the job right. Katie and Rio in the office were a pleasure to work with as well and answered all questions promptly with regard to order status, logistics, and billing, and the overall experience was beyond my expectations. Our neighbors on the next street were impressed with the job and hired Mighty Builders to replace their windows as well. I also have 2 close friends who need windows and will be reaching out to Mighty when they're ready. The finished job looks fantastic and I'm extremely happy with our new windows. I highly recommend Mighty Builders to anyone looking to replace windows at a fair price.

Definitely not a warranty issue, however, the warranty department spent untold hours locating the correct panel and more hours finding a qualified installer to seamlessly replace the glass. The cost was incredibly reasonable and the workmanship was outstanding. 5 stars all the way, and so happy with the company.

When I went in to order my door, the salesperson was asking me which way the door should swing and which side the glass insert should be on. I expected a door company to help guide me through those decisions, but instead I felt like I was expected to know everything myself. After placing the order, I realized the glass insert was going to be on the wrong side. I immediately called, and I was told it had been corrected. Unfortunately, when the door arrived, it was completely wrong. Not only was the glass insert still on the wrong side, but it was the wrong style of window altogether. My contractor picked up the door and removed my old door before I had a chance to inspect the new one, so by the time I saw the mistake, it had already been installed. When I contacted Urban Doors, they simply told me I was out of luck because it had been installed. Even after going through the warranty process, they continued to blame me for not checking it first. What I don't understand is how a company can take an order, make multiple mistakes, and have no quality control to catch them before delivery. Why wasn't I sent a proof or even a photo of the completed door before it left the shop? A simple verification could have prevented this entire situation. The lack of customer service was the most disappointing part. There was no ownership of the mistakes, no effort to find a solution, and no empathy. My mom helped me pay for this door, and I simply don't have the money to replace it. Every day I use my front door, I'm reminded that it's wrong. Because the glass insert is on the wrong side, I have to awkwardly squeeze through the opening, and it honestly makes me feel upset every time I come home. Mistakes happen, but how a company responds says everything. Unfortunately, Urban Doors was uncaring, unhelpful, and unwilling to stand behind their work. I cannot recommend them.

Liz (I hope I remembered her name correctly), was very helpful. She took the measurements over the phone and gave us a reasonable quote. The piece was ready the following day and fit perfectly. We purchased all new Milgard windows from SCV Glassworks in 2009. They have a lifetime warranty,…read moreand two of the windows are crystallizing on the inside, creating a foggy appearance. I called SCV Glassworks and first spoke to Eric and then to Andrew. The first response from Andrew was that they would replace the windows only if we purchased them "within the last year or so." I reminded him of the "Lifetime Warranty," and then Andrew said we had to file our request with Milgard. I pointed out that we purchased the windows from SCV Glassworks, and they hold themselves out as a "Milgard Certified Dealer." Andrew then changed his story and said he'd file a warranty request to Milgard to have the windows replaced. Andrew requested that I photograph the window frame and send it to him since it contained all the warranty information he needed. I forwarded the photographic information, and he confirmed receiving all the information he needed. He said he would put in a warranty request for me. After three weeks, I heard nothing, so I sent a text to Andrew asking for an update on my warranty request. He responded that he'll check with the manufacturer, Milgard, to determine the status of my warranty repair. He'd let me know as soon as he hears from Milgard. Two weeks went by, and not a word from SCV Glassworks, so today I decided to call Milgard myself. I reached Milgard's warranty department, and they advised that they had no warranty request from SCV Glassworks. Alexander, in Milgard's Customer Service Department, advised that it was best for me to just file my own warrant request through his department. Alexander asked that I forward the photographic information of the two windows to be replaced. I sent the information to Alexander, and in less than an hour, he confirmed receipt of my information, confirmed the warranty, and scheduled the window replacement. The Bottom Line: Milgard windows are great, and their service department is the best I've ever experienced. Kudos to Andrew in Milgard's Customer Service Department in Simi Valley. SCV Glassworks: First, a denial of a warranty, then a claim that they filed a warranty request when they had not, and no follow-up whatsoever. Their "service" was the worst.
