When we got back to Kentucky, we gave the DMV transfer papers, and we had to pay sales tax in Kentucky. The person that was the "manager" here in July of 2017, I believe he said his name was Robert, is a THIEF. If he's still there, he will rip you off if he can, and he's good at paperwork manipulation. My husband and I purchased a car from Albir at MGM Imports in Loveland. We were assured several times by Albir that the rattling noise which sounds as if it is coming from the engine is in fact the tensioner belt pulley that needed replaced. I suggested (based on my google search) that it was possibly the timing chain and I was told by Albir that Meineke inspected the car and assured us it is not the timing chain. My husband and I did take the car to our mechanic to do all the recommended repairs per the Meineke report provided by Albir at MGM. We replaced the brake pads and rotors all around (brake light was on), replaced the tensioner pulley and both belts, the mechanic did see that the harmonic balancer was in terrible condition so that was replaced as well. $1,169.47 later the engine noise is still there and in fact the noise is a result of the timing chain per the mechanic. A month later MGM Imports mechanic to confirm the timing chain and the water pump needed replaced. I was told by Albir at MGM Imports that I needed to purchase the parts which would cost $700 - $800 and I was given an estimate from Meineke for the labor. I was told Albir at MGM Imports wanted Meineke to do the labor so they can warranty it and I was given an estimate of $1,168.98. I was told by Albir at MGM Imports I would pay half and MGM Imports would pay half. Albir said if the car is dropped off for repair on a Friday by 6pm we would be able to pick the car back up Saturday by end of business. I asked multiple times if I could just have the car worked on by my mechanic that I trust and Albir at MGM Imports insisted he said "I can trust my mechanic, if my mechanic do it for me I can trust my mechanic and I give you warranty. Even if the engine broke in half I will tell you bring it back to me." I find out Meineke isn't doing the repair as I was told by Albir with MGM Imports he said Meineke isn't comfortable doing the repair. I was assured MGM Imports would offer the same warranty that Meineke offered which is 3 months from the repair date (5/16/19). After repair was completed the mechanic didn't put oil back in the car so the engine locked and needs replaced. MGM REFUSES AFTER THE OWNER GEORGE RAID SAID HE WOULD. A family of 7 down a car is not a fun experience considering we're just purchased what we were told was a very reliable vehicle. I will continue to protest this business daily as it is not fair how they are treating people and how I have to make payments on a car that is utterly useless. I do not have additional money to continue to throw away. MGM Imports has had zero accountability over and over again. It is time someone holds them accountable. A month ago I bought a BMW M3 from another state, looking at the pictures and dealer description I was fully convinced on a FULL WARRANTY , 1 OF A KIND , GREAT SHAPE IN/OUT , MOST OF OUR VEHICLES ARE HIGH QUALITY AND HAND PICKED , ALL POWER OPTIONS. after waiting a week an a half to get the title with no temporary tags , looking at the car when first arrived I couldn't believe the condition of the vehicle. A/C control module broken , diagnosis computer screen broken , seats tear apart specially at the rear, door trim panels unglued , missing a lot of cosmetic parts, broken antifreeze reservoir. The seller used intimidation to try to get full price for the car. He was not open to any negotiation at all. He blamed it on the bank and claimed that he needed to do a credit check on us before we could talk about price. I would never give my information to someone that talked to us the way he did though. I went with my 18-year-old​ son to buy a car from here. They were pretty friendly but a couple of weeks after owning the car we ended up having to put a new engine in the car because it blew a head gasket after overheating. The mechanic who looked at it said that there was definitely an issue that was hidden which caused the engine malfunction. After negotiating a sales price (in writing), at the signing table they snuck in an extra fraudulent $250 for a fake "doc" fee and gave us only ONE key, and then had the nerve to ask us to buy an additional key for another $200 plus the cost (and inconvenience) to have it programmed (most Benz dealers don't program keys unless you buy directly from them). Who sells a Benz SUV to a family of three with only one key and adds a bunch of trickery paperwork fees? MGM Imports. This sucks! read more

Better Business Bureau Complaint Filed Business Information MGM Auto Sales, LLC 3892 State Route 22 3 Loveland, OH 45140 Complaint Summary Complaint Type: Consumer to Business Complaint Nature of complaint: Service Issues Problem description: I purchased a car from MGM Auto Sales on 10/6/16, and within minutes of driving off their lot, the AWD light came on. I called the lot immediately and was told to bring it back in the next day. On 10/7/17, I returned and waited for 2 1/2hrs while they "fixed" it. I had offered to share in the cost for a new set of tires because I had learned that AWD must have EXACT matching tires, otherwise the transmission will be damaged. The salesman, Mark, said if that would fix the problem, it would be something they would do, and we scheduled me bringing the car back on Monday, 10/10/16, so they could have more time for the repair work. However, after leaving the dealership on 10/7/17, Mark called me 3hrs later to say that they had noticed oil leaking, and that the oil filter needed to be tightened, but was safe to drive, could I bring the car back the next day? I agreed, and returned the next morning, and Meinke Auto Repair shop took the car in to fix that issue. I kept the car until Monday, 10/10/16, and returned to the car lot to have the work done. Only, when I got there, Mark had the day off, and there was no mechanic available to do the work. After speaking with Mark, he denied any such work scheduled to be done that day, but said he would try to see if he could get someone in to do the work. I left the car for 5 hours, and when I returned, George the owner, stated that essentially they just parked the car because they are not a mechanic shop and it was my problem and they don't know what are the issues. So, I left with the car and drove it directly to Firestone to have them inspect it. They found oil leaking from MULTIPLE places, a bad ball joint, the brake work MGM had done was poorly done and needed to be fixed asap, the frame on the back end was completely rusted and made it very unsafe to drive, the 4 different tires were one of the main reasons the AWD sensor light was on and would damage the transmission if I continued to drive it. In total, nearly $3200 worth of work required. I then drove the car back to MGM Auto and left the car. I then contacted George on 10/11/16 to go over the multiple problems, and to negotiate the repairs, and he said, "It's your car now, you should contact the warranty company"! Accept that, the "warranty" they sold with the car is NOT a warranty, but rather and application, and no guarantee the work will be covered. When I asked him to put it in writing that he would fix these issues, he refused because although they have 4 mechanic bays, and had done the brakes, tires, and rotors prior to the sale...they are not a repair shop. So when I gave him the estimate from Firestone, he was rude and belligerent, and would not agree to fix anything but the oil pan! Desired Outcome This couldn't be more a more fraudulent promise of goods than this car sale. If I am required to keep the car, I want MGM to pay the $3200 for the necessary repair work needed to drive safely, if not, I want to return the car, as it is already in their possession. I bought a 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan from MGM in April. At the time I explained that I was a single Mother and that this was my first time buying a car by myself and that I needed a dependable car. I asked them if I could take the car to my mechanic prior to purchase and they said no, assuring me that it was in great condition with only 60,000 miles on it. In need of a car, I went ahead with the purchase. A month after buying the car, I had to put a brand new transmission in it totaling $3300. Since then, the trunk handle has fallen off in my hand and the car is now making a loud screeching sound if I try to run the air conditioning. I purchased a 2013 Buick Verano Premium listed at $10,995 from MGM imports with the help of a worker named Albir. He told me they changed the oil as well as put a new battery in the car. After purchasing it I drive the vehicle back to my home. A few hours (the same day I purchased the vehicle) later I go to start the car to go somewhere and it starts but now a check engine light is on as well as the car misfired a few time while idling. I call mgm imports and tell them what is happening with the car, they tell me to bring it in for their mechanic to look at. I bring the car in a few days later to mgm and the mechanic looks at the car and they tell me that the car is fine mechanically and the reason it has a light on and is misfiring is because of modifications from a previous owner. Albir told me that I will have to deal with the misfire and check engine light unless I want to revert the car back to stock. I then take the car to my own mechanic. The vehicle needed a new mass air flow sensor, as well as a new O2 sensor, and an oil change. Fast forward a week or so, In the morning I go out to start my car and the vehicle is dead, even though I had driven it the day before . I jump start the vehicle and take it to autozone and they look at the diagnostics of my battery. Turns out the battery that was in the car was neither new or the correct battery that was suppose to be in the car. I purchase a new $120 dollar battery and have it put in the car. I then call MGM imports and tell them what all I have had to replace and that they did not actually do any of the maintanence that they had told me they did. Albir basically tells me its no longer their problem, even though I haven't even owned the car a month. Its just disappointing and frustrating that after purchasing a relatively expensive car from MGM imports, they did not help me with any kind of repair or compensation for problems with the car. I went up earlier in the week and drove the car, the car drove well but was leaking, I informed the owner and he said they will fix it and have it to us by the end of the week. I come back at the end of the week and they say the car is ready, I don't see any leaks at the moment, so I bought the car and drove home. Pull into my driveway and oil is leaking even worse. I haven't even had my car for two weeks. These guys have no clue what they are doing. The mechanic is horrible. The car was at my mechanics shop for a week and today I recently found out that it needs a new engine.. I am about to be dead broke now thanks to these scammers! So to be honest, I read the reviews before I purchased my civic from here so I was aware of what I may have been getting myself into. I bought the car 8 days ago and two days ago the car just shut off on me in the middle of the road while driving. Before I bought the car, I talked to a salesman on the phone to inquire about the car. He said they did 55 point inspections. Well, when I got there, the "inspection" that "had been done," was conveniently missing. When I asked to talk to the mechanic who worked on it, I was told he didnt speak English so it would be no use. So I took the car to a Firestone in Loveland, OH for a separate inspection. When I asked the mechanic who worked on my car what his opinion was of MGM Imports, he said, "no comment," which should have told me all I needed to know but I liked the car and he said, "for what I normally see from that shop, this car isn't too bad surprisingly." The car looked good on the surface, and with the few miles it had, it didn't seem likely there was anything wrong internally. Besides the car being a little overpriced I was initially happy with it, even though it reeked of cigars (of which I found to cigar packs under the seats. It was missing all its floor matts. and it only came with one busted and glued together key and was in need of new front breaks within the very near future. So I tried to talk them down a little bit more considering it was going to need about a thousand dollars of work. But they said they would throw in an extra key and some weather tech matts and so I thought what the hell, I really just wanted the key. Well stupid me, I didnt check the key out till later, it turns to they literally just gave me a similar key model to another honda car because the cut of the key was no where near identical to my own and would not even fit in my door to unlock the car. (And those keys are not cheap.) Cost me one hundred dollars from the dealership to buy a new one. As if that wasn't enough, like I said, two days ago it shut off on me on the road while driving. Turns out the timing chain jumped significantly. I have been driving manual cars for over ten years and not once has a timing chain or belt ever slipped on me, so it was not a driver error in shifting that caused the slip. When they got in the motor they saw the timing chain tensioner was worn down which may have caused slip. EVEN worse than that, the tech who worked on the car said that the motor had obviously been opened before and that someone had clearly worked on the inside of the motor before. (Probably part of that work and "inspetion" that was done which conveniently went "missing"). The tech said that they had to do several oil changes on it while working because there was so much metal shavings throughout the motor. (Clearly it had been driven really hard) He also noticed that some other parts (that he did not work on) were loose (probably MGM's handy work). After I got in contact with the "Warranty" company that insures their cars, they said they would not pay for the repairs because the timing chain wasn't techincally "broken" and they only pay for repairs of broken parts. The timing chain was in fact stretched, which means it is defective (so broken). I know in general insurance companies will say and do anything not to pay so that wasn't surprising but it just added to the whole "quality of care and reassurance" MGM can (but cant & doesnt) provide. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB immediately. One thing I can say for certain, IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE, TIME AND MONEY DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE EVEN AN OIL CHANGE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE DISHONEST, GREEDY, CLUELESS, AND ARE WILLING to SELL A KNOWINGLY DEFECTIVE CAR TO MAKE MONEY. Just because the car is driving when you go to see it does not mean it is in any way, shape manner or from functioning properly. They will do whatever to make the car run for a few days (enough for you to get it home and out of their hands so they are no longer responsible). Of course that assumes that they were responsible in the FIRST PLACE. If I could give zero stars I would. I can not believe this company is still in business. One final thing, don't listen to the salesmen there. They will say whatever and do whatever to convince you there is nothing wrong with the car. Don't listen. Just don't even go to this dealersip. Save yourself the time, the money and agony of dealing with them and their lemons. I read the owner of MGM's response to some other posts and he said, "we would never intentionally mislead a customer." Like I said, dishonest. They clearly worked inside that motor which is conveniently, for them, why they could not find the inspection. They could be more accurately called LEMON IMPORTS. Do not buy a car here!! Bought a BMW here and had it no longer than 3 months and the car broke down multiple times. They wouldn't help on any of the repairs claiming we bought it 'as is' even though their website advertises a warranty.
