We decided to clean up the area so we could host an important family event, and our search led to Gio and his team. He responded quickly, and we discussed what we were looking for in re-purposing the rear 1/3 of our property. He described his vision and methods, and provided a very reasonable quote. We decided to move forward, and we left it up to him to provide and plant what was needed to create a perfect space that was both functional for entertainment and really pleasant to just relax and enjoy. Gio and his team did not disappoint. He met (and exceeded) our expectations, and stuck to the schedule and budget. And he didn't just create planter areas and new lawn, he also installed a paver walkway to match our existing patio stones. When he was finished with the original scope, he offered to maintain the rear yard to make sure our investment (and his hard work) would continue to look as good as the day he finished. He is not a typical "mow-blow-& go" gardening service. When he and his team arrive, they look around, see whatever needs care and attention, make everything right, and leave every inch of the yard neatly trimmed and clean. We are looking forward to asking Gio and his team to re-imagine and transform the side and front landscaped areas of our home. We can't recommend him enough.

Fortunately, Gio responded promptly to our initial call and provided a thorough assessment based on our home's needs and goals. Our beloved plants have been thriving under Gio & Co.'s care, so we wanted to share our feedback in case there were others like us seeking someone knowledgeable and trustworthy to provide regular TLC to their plants. It is obvious he and his team take great care and personal pride in what they do; as a result we have received numerous compliments - including from the landscaper who installed the garden! The hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies that frequent our well-tended flowers seem to give Gio's Gardening Company a 10/10 as well. Lastly, I want to note how grateful I am that he and his team took special care to help our bougainvilleas and orange tree flourish. Gio had a great idea to "train" the bougainvilleas along our rear wall and now they're like artwork by our pergola. True, they're not that rare in LA, but they were planted by my parents and hold much sentimental value. Being able to see them grow and do well has me count his services as a solid ROI alone. Gardening is an art and a science. We're so grateful to have found a dedicated pro who has been able to provide us solutions for all things plant-related here in LA!

The selection is fantastic- I went in looking specifically for aquarium friendly plants and left with such an awesome selection! And I feel like it was all reasonably priced too! Bianca immediately welcomed me in and was so approachable- I'm new to the plant world and she was WONDERFUL! Bianca and Matt were incredibly helpful, and Matt especially impressed me with his plant knowledge. He really knew his stuff and made the whole experience even better! Parking can be a little tricky, but I found street parking right out front without too much hassle. Totally worth it. Highly recommend!

I was impressed by the size of the store, with both an indoor and outdoor section filled plants, planting supplies, and other types of home decor. Staff members were friendly and patient whenever I had questions or needed assistance, and they were very attentive. Given the huge layout it could take some time to find a free employee, but their workers made sure I knew about the various options that could meet my search criteria. I was pleased with the pots that I found and thought the prices were comparative to what I saw at Sunset Nursery. I would definitely recommend checking out this shop!

Mickey Hargitay Plants is the coolest little big plant store, plant nursery, garden center and serene landscaping places I've ever seen. From the pure vibrant vibes to the incredible staff that make this gem thrive. Tucked away in Hollywood on the cusp of West Hollywood off of Sycamore Ave and Fountain Avenue, just a small skip east from La Brea Avenue. They're open from 9 AM until 5:30 PM all 7 days of the week. And carry plants, planters, gardening essentials and wonderoud things of all shapes and sizes. I've been passing by frequently for nearly two months on my way to work usually before they're open or after they're closed on as I make my way home and finally got to stop in and explore. That wave of calm, relaxation and vibrance that being around nature and all it's planty goodness lives here in abundance. Explore in person, place orders for pick up or even delivery. Mickey Hargitay has a rich history to match it's ambiance since it's birth in 1980, starting off with succulents, cacti and their own macrame designs Voted one of the best places to buy plants in 2015. Featured in the L.A. Times in 2016. Featured in Voyage LA in 2021. Not to mention a great spotlight in 2025. Founded and owned by Mickey Hartigay Jr. a fellow Sag and plant lover like myself. He and every single person here is a gem, I picked up on nothing but good energy even after the end of a long day and rainy weekend everyone here does their best to bring a slice of joy to each person. Ringing up my assortment right as they were closing they still didn't miss a beat. Hoping to stop in a lot more (scheduling pending) and get to know everyone, find more plants for the house as well as a new plant for my boyfriends place of even bring him in to explore. Pup friendly. Family friendly And very much open to all. Recently started following their Insta and I'm "obsessulated!" Many of their products are made in Korea, which I loved! I came for something very specific and not only did they have the product, it was much cheaper compared to what I can find online. I ended up buying more than what I came here for because I couldn't pass on the high quality slippers, buckwheat pillows, and dishwashing gloves! This place has a small parking lot attached, but they also have another parking lot just across the street for overflow. They accept credit card as well!

From reading the low star reviews, I think you need to only purchase items that you don't care about returning. Buying more expensive electronic items may be too risky for their strict, inflexible 14 day return policy. Come here to buy various 'cheaper' and fun items like inside House slippers, kitchen and home goods (especially plastic items). There are many more upscale kitchen cookware, knives that are European brands. the 2nd floor has larger $$$ electronic items, where it may riskier shopping. I feel like for expensive items, you'd be better off shopping at typical store where there is generous return policy, a la Target, Kohls. I've never seriously checked out their blanket and bedding section, but Korean blankets are supposed to be the bomb- mattress bedding that is super cooling and lightweight. I can only shop here on rare occasions that I make the long drive to K-town, so for me it's fun treasure hunt shopping, and I know I won't be able to return anything easily. This is also a great store to shop for cute gifts. The workers prob. can understand English, but don't expect American style customer service, that's not what you're coming for in older classic K-town businesses.
