I don't think anything I write can really do Ana justice. I have been trying to find the right person to be MY-PERSON for what feels like FOREVER! I have had so many people cut my hair. None were terrible but none did exactly what I had wanted and granted much of the fault was mine. I am not great at explaining what I want, mostly because I am not great at describing what my hair does when it decides to behave. Otherwise, it doesn't look like it does what I say it does. I also brought in the product I use and she didn't snub it, she was curious about it and even praised how well it worked. I was amazed by how she treated me, she asked me questions about my hair as if I was the expert of my head. Which I guess I am. I love this woman! I have been singing her praises since I had my hair done and I am sure my children and getting sick of listening to me rave on about her. It is settled, she is now MY-PERSON! A great perk was it didn't break me money-wise, she is reasonably priced. I can NEVER understand why it always cost me before $80 when my hair isn't much longer than my husband's and they take maybe .5 of an inch. I found Ana on Yelp and the reviews weren't exaggerating. I contacted Ana via text and she responded right away. Luckily, I was able to get an appointment the next day. The salon is out of her home and you can park right in the driveway. As soon as I walked in Ana was very nice and friendly. She understood exactly what I wanted and gave me several tips on how to keep my hair healthy. This is not to kind of salon you come in once and never return. This is the salon were she becomes your hair dresser for several years. Most of her clients have been with her ten years or more. She completely understands curly hair. Ana was sweet, nice and knew her craft! She was able to correct my "too dark" almost black hair dye and return it to my light brown hair color and perfectly covered my grey hair. That was number 1. Number 2 was trimming my long curly hair. She cut my hair perfectly as we are letting (some one else) stair step chop grow out. She undercut the bottom as not to let it hang lower than the rest. Ok so, wow just wow! Amazing work by Ana. As you can see she did a great job with my hair. I love the outcome!!! I can't wait for the next coloring session. Originally, I wanted to have a keratin treatment, haircut and blonde balayage, but we exchanged text messages and she explained everything as far as how much time it would take, the costs, and just everything. I then decided I would do the keratin treatment first. When I walked into her salon which is in her garage, she immediately explained to me what a keratin treatment was and that she thought I wouldn't really need one because my hair is already straight. She recommends it for people who have frizzy, unmanageable hair. Well I wanted a keratin treatment because I thought that it was like a permanent hair straightening treatment so that I wouldn't have to iron my hair all the time. She said that after keratin, that I would still need to iron my hair but it's just going to be much easier and would remove the unwanted frizz. Basically, it's not a process to straighten hair. She then told me that a Japanese hair straightening treatment is the one I would need if I really needed my hair to be straight straight, but she doesn't do one. Sooo, we decided to just go on and do the balayage I wanted for my hair. I showed her the picture (the one I attached here), and she worked her magic. Look at the before and after photos of my hair that I uploaded. It's pretty close to the hairstyle I wanted given it's only one session. If you're looking for the perfect balayage for you, go to Ana! Just a heads up though, it took us a while to get my hair done, so plan on staying there 3-4 hours depending on your hair length. It is also a little expensive, but it's very worth it! I also love the fact that her salon is just an extension of her home, it made it feel like home to me. She's very warm, friendly and welcoming, so book your appointment soon!!! read more

I've written a review for Mi Belleza Hair studio before but for some reason Yelp deleted it, which isn't fair to Ana because she deserves it! Ana has been my hairstylist for years and boy am I glad to have her as a hairstylist, it's not easy to find someone who knows how to work with thick, curly hair like mines. We've been through so many different looks together, her hands are truly magic! Whatever I want she makes it happen! Shes transformed my hair from a terrible box dye job (that I decided to try and do myself) to a beautiful blonde color.
