The food here is excellent! When you walk into the restaurant, you feel like you're in what a Mexican restaurant you would imagine being the music the decorations very nice. This is our second time coming first time was for lunch. Second time was for dinner. Both times we have not been disappointed with the service or the food. I ordered Modelo Negro, chimichanga's with rice. My husband ordered margarita and he ordered their fajitas. Both times the flavor has been extremely good. Grabbed dinner from here recently and it was pretty darn good! I parked right next to the restaurant and I have to admit that it's pretty nondescript. There's an outdoor seating area but it's pretty small, so I'd probably opt to sit inside if I ate there in person. This time, I ordered take-out and the food was ready on time, which is always nice. I ate the spicy steak tacos with rice and refried beans, and everything was tasty. It was maybe a slightly worse experience than my best trip to Mi Cancun, but not bad at all. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Mi Cancun. I honestly never thought I would walk out of a Mexican restaurant still hungry -- but here we are. The portion sizes were shockingly small. The plate was literally half empty, and for the price, it made no sense. Mexican food is usually generous and filling, but this was neither. The chips were also served cold, which was the first red flag. Service was just as disappointing. Our server never once came back to check on us -- no refills, no "How is everything?", nothing. We felt completely ignored the entire meal. When I asked to speak to a manager, the server told me the manager was "out" and wouldn't be back for three hours -- which made no sense because the restaurant would have been closed by then. The way it was said almost felt dismissive, like "what are you going to do about it?" Ironically, shortly after that, a manager walked in. I explained my concerns, hoping for at least some acknowledgment or accountability. Unfortunately, he couldn't have cared less. All he said was "okay." No apology, no attempt to make things right, no ownership of the situation. After that experience, I told the server I would not be tipping -- and I stand by that decision. Tipping reflects service, and there simply was none. Between the small portions, cold food, inattentive service, and management's lack of concern, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had. We went to Mi Cancun on a rainy day for lunch. It was excellent!! The inside decor was bright and fun. The staff were very friendly. As soon as our waiter took our drink order, someone came over with a table side guacamole station! They made fresh guacamole in front of us. You could choose to add onions, pico, cilantro and jalapeños! The enchiladas were great and I can't wait to go back. read more

Mi Cancun is definitely one of the better inexpensive Mexican options around. They have a great variety of lunch options. Rice, enchiladas, chimichangas, chips, and salsa are all pretty standard, but quite satisfactory. Only con is that the they have music blasting inside. If I come in for a to go order for two sides of refried beans, a queso and four orders of tortillas or should not cost $29.00! That is highway robbery and you should be ashamed you are charging that much for beans cheese and tortillas. On top of that when I check out you add .75 because it's a to go order. Mi Cancun is my favorite local Mexican chain and this location is great! Cheese dip is delicious and a generous size. ACP is my favorite. The service was excellent - our waitress was so friendly and the entire staff was very attentive. Below-average Average Mexican Food! I had dinner here on a Friday night.  When we walked in, we were promptly greeted and seated, and immediately we were aware of two things:  1)  the amazingly high level of noise, and 2) the sketchy table-side guacamole cart. The ceiling is super high, and the level of noise from the patrons and the 6 TVs combined in the cavernous space to make it hard to talk.  It became quite distracting. As soon as we sat down, a nice non-English speaking woman appeared and offered table-side guac.  We were not in the mood for it, but even if we were, we likely would have passed because the table-side cart looked dirty, disorganized, and not even close to professional.  When I commented on the appearance of the cart, the very nice woman had to get another staff person to translate, which made the interaction difficult and awkward. I had the camarones diablo and a spicy margarita.  The shrimp were just ok, and margarita had, I believe, way too much ice.  As I stated above, this was a below-average Mexican food experience.  I am unlikely to return. read more

Enjoyed going here but second time in a row we were told one price for drinks and charged significantly higher. We were overcharged the previous time so we made sure to verify again before ordering. We were told a pitcher of a specific margarita was $39. Individual price is $15, so we figured we would do the pitcher. Waiter even went to back to verify the price before telling us. Bill came and we were charged $56! Asked manager and waiter about it, both shrugged, no apology. Shouldn't have, but paid the full overcharged amount and still tipped 20%. Pitcher ended up costing $66 with tip. Total was $120 for a weak pitcher of margaritas and meals? Came back after first time to give another shot, but overcharging is apparently part of their business plan. Not a good practice but it's common for this place. Won't be returning. read more

This is a favorite place of the kids because of the outdoor seating. We've been able to eat outside much of the year because it's fairly sheltered. When possible, the luncheon special is a good deal. They added tamales to the menu which most Mexican places don't offer. If you like Margaritas, try to hit a day when they're on special. Huge! Their menu is large and they have some dishes that may not be served anywhere else, seafood or vegan. Their spring salad is served as a side. Pretty basic but fresh and nice mix of greens. We've had to pace ourselves because-- once they serve the complimentary chips with salsa we can't stop eating them. The kids are crazy about them. They come warm to the table. Service is really quick. Guacamole is specially made at your table if you order it. Chile Rejeno, tacos, burritos, etc. that we've had are all good.
