We ordered takeout here. I am very doubtful about takeout food due to so many bad experiences. Let me say their takeout is a great experience. They put so much food in their takeout orders. I got the avocado and vegetable bowl. Yummy good! My husband ordered beef enchiladas and he loved them. Their chips and salsa were wonderful. Our takeout experience was perfect. My husband and I just stopped here for lunch, and I must say that the food was extremely good, as well as the service. I started with a guava margarita that was so refreshing and yummy! The chips and salsa were perfect, and our entrees were equally as tasty. We decided early on that we'd definitely come back when driving through Gainesville. There was just one thing that kept this from being a perfect experience: the Celine Dion/ Anne Murray playlist painfully wailing from the bluetooth speaker near our booth. It. Was. Excruciating! If I didn't like Celine before, I absolutely hate her now! . When I eat Mexican food, I like to listen to Spanish music. It sets the mood. I literally pulled out my phone ( it was mid afternoon and the place was pretty empty) and began playing my own Spanish music on Spotify and tried to drown out the miserable howling sound of the never ending Celine songs. My husband and I ended up laughing as we came up with ways to put ourselves out of the misery, so it was fun. I'll definitely be back, but I'll be dining with my airpods in next time. Lol read more

Tucked in a older shopping center.. we were pleasantly surprised by the food we received ... excellent chips and salsa , very tasty queso . Great staff. Good food at reasonable prices. Chips and salsa were on point (wish the salsa bowls were a little bigger). I had the Chimichanga dinner with fajita beef. Beef was seasoned well and beans/rise were great. The margaritas were a complete waste of money and I would suggest avoiding them. I had a standard marg and it was nothing more than mix poured over about 5 ice cubes. The two other people in a group had mango margs and didn't even finish 1/2 of them. Passed by this place for years until our go-to Mexican joint closed so figured we'd try it. That was over a year ago and I've eaten here countless times. Looking back shoulda given them a chance sooner. I usually judge first impressions on the chips and salsa which I'm confident is near the top available in Gainesville, they also have hotter upon request. I can't stop eating it before my food arrives. My go to is the Beef fajitas, consistently tender and the perfect seasoning. Even when they are super busy at lunch we've always gotten great service from all the waitresses keeping our drinks and chips/salsa refilled. The owner is always there helping and checking on everything. Daily lunch specials at a reasonable price, we will continue eating here to get our Mexican food fix! read more

I'd say 3.5 stars. Ordered the fajitas, beef was flavorful and mostly tender. The refried beans were not bad. The charro beans were watery and lacked flavor and BEANS! There were about 12 beans in the onion and chile broth. The chips were good. The salsa needed some flavor, very bland...tasted of canned tomatoes although it had cilantro. The waitress was clueless. We had to ask for plates & tortillas No cheese with fajitas. Pico & guac was served on the side. Tortillas were warm. I think our waitress was new because the rest of the staff were attentive. It was kinda middle of the road, okay. Not a lot of choices in Gainesville. It was clean. read more

Though it might seem a little off putting being in a run down strip mall, their food has always been great. I've been here on numerous occasions have never been disappointed. They have a great variety of menu items, as well as a chalkboard that always has several specials listed on it that change daily. My go-to menu item here is there chicken fajita quesadillas with their charro beans rather than refried. You get 3 decent size tortillas stuffed with meat and cheese as well as a side of rice, beans, sour cream and guacamole. Disappointingly enough, their guacamole taste far from homemade, but the quesadillas have enough flavor it hardly needs any sauce on it..but their salsa is an amazing alternative if you do need something to add. If you're ever in the area, I would definitely stop by and give this place a try. read more

First of all...... I never write bad reviews, but we've been here plenty of times over the past few years and each time we try and give them the benefit of a doubt it gets worse. Waitress was very scattered, forgot everything, acted like it was a bother to ask her for anything. Plus after our food came, she never came back. We had to ask for our check three times. The drink glasses tasted like soap and when we mentioned it (not complained) we didn't even get an apology. Food was overcooked. Sorry Mi Casa. No longer a fan. read more

This place is the definition of hole in the wall. Does not look like much from the outside, but once you walk in it's like Christmas in July! I have tried Mexican food in multiple places in USA, and I guess this place would come towards the bottom. The food was very oily ( even the healthy option of Grilled chicken with veggies had so much oil that it hardly felt like healthy food) Service was good and quick. Looks can be deceiving. From the van out by the road to the state of the store front would lead someone to believe that, egh, would be a good term. And then you walk in and are treated like your at Grandma's house. Come in and sit anywhere. The wait staff are comforting and inviting most of the time, if not crack a joke and all is well again. The food is so delicious. Made with love and taste just that way. Fair warning, if they say it's hot, it's hot. The frozen margaritas are pretty good also. This little restaurant serves up a great meal. Not a fancy place, not overpriced. Our waitress was attentive without being a pest. Our chips and dip were good, not the best ever but we ate plenty and appreciated that the chips were slightly heated. For my entree I tried something new - shrimp stuffed avocado. It was great!
