Poor Customer Service I placed a to-go order yesterday evening prior to closing and when I arrived to pick it up, I learned that it was given to someone else. While it was an inconvenience, I was fine with them making it again. At least that's what I thought was the case. Instead of receiving my order, the staff said they would not make the food and that I should consider going to another restaurant in the area. They would just refund my money. It was late and the only restaurants open at this point were fast food chains, which was unacceptable. I don't know how you just give a paid order to someone without confirming the name on the order. Or, how the manager doesn't have the decency or respect for the customer to discuss the problem with them. Although I dined at Mi Chante several times, I will not go back to this restaurant. I will, however, take their advice and dine at Gloria's or Mi Luna as the food and service have always been good. read more

We ate here for the first time on a Saturday evening and it did not disappoint! The service was on point! Santiago, our server, was amazing! He did a great job helping us decide on what to ordered, based our allergies (beef, pork and dairy.) The atmosphere is comfortable, inviting and everyone we encountered was incredibly pleasant. The food and drinks were YUMMM! Next time we come to visit our daughter and her family, we'll be back. In the meantime, I'm sure she will become a regular. Nice relaxing patio music as we entered. I ordered the fajitas. It was about 5-6 oz of meat. The rice and beans came out first which I'm glad I didn't wait for the fajitas or it would have gotten cold. The red salsa is pretty good and their spicy salsa is not spicy (green). The service was substandard. He did not pick up our empty plates nor recommended anything. It was our first time. The chicken for the enchiladas is not shredded and slices of chicken are on top. The first two times we were really impressed. The food was great, tasted fresh and service is wonderful! (See pic) After the "grand opening" it's gone done hill. The waitstaff is still very kind; however, I'm less than impressed with management. Tonight we went at 5:15, the salsa was not very good (not as fresh) and chips tasted burned. We got drinks and ordered food around 5:35pm. It still wasn't ready at 6:10pm. I had to pick my dog up by 6:30pm so asked waitress to get the food to go. She said the kitchen was very backed up and would ask if they'd get the food to go for us. She comes back to tell us the manager had deleted our food order and handed us the check for the drinks. HARD PASS. Food was meh, service was BAD. 1. Our server was quick to have us order, but not wait on us after our food came. 2. Our drinks were never full, I had to ask a bus boy for refills after making eye contact with a manager multiple times. 3. A manager never came over to see how our food was, and I believe there were 2 managers working at the time. 4. The young host girls at the front.....one of them kept sitting down with her mom, while on the clock (we'll call her Host 1). I only say on the clock because she never took off her apron. Someone from behind the bar brought over for the (likely underage) Host 1 a giant frozen drink to the mother's table for this girl. Again, assuming she is still on the clock. This same young host got up, took her drink with her to the host stand, and gave a sip to another young host (host 2). Then, host 2 (also likely underage) went over to that table and kept sneaking sips from this frozen drink and looking around to see if anyone had noticed. Host 1 and 2 also sat and ate some chips and salsa. This is extremely off-putting as our table was obviously right next to all of this happening and kept getting crowded by workers who kept coming over to the table next to us to visit. Mind you, only TWO people at that table were paying customers, the other 3-4 that were there, at a time, all worked there. It was distracting and just hindered our first (and last) experience. We paid $63 for queso fundido, two teas, enchiladas, the queso Birria tacos, and shit service. I'm not asking for service like I'd get at a nice steakhouse, but I guess restaurant service common decency is fleeting. read more

I live 7 mins from Mi Chante and have eaten there a more than a dozen times in the past two years. It's in a strip center but it's very attractive and comfortable inside. The food is delicious. It gets very busy at dinnertime (a good sign!) but we prefer a more quiet meal so we always go for a late lunch at 2PM and order from their lunch menu. There are many $10 lunch plates to choose from; lunch fajitas are $16. Their full menu is available at lunchtime too. My favorite foods I've tried so far are the grilled steak quesadillas, the poblano soup, and the refried black beans. My husband enjoys the steak fajitas and crispy tacos. The menu has some delicious-sounding menu items that are unique -- and I assume are more traditional Mexican dishes rather than what most people think of as Tex Mex -- which we like too. The food is fresh and presented beautifully. We've never ordered from the bar but it's attractive and lively. Table service is prompt and attentive. They have a nice outdoor patio but we usually sit indoors. Only once did we have a new, inexperienced server who made mistakes like bringing us the wrong sides. He apologized and corrected the problem quickly. That's all I would expect, especially of someone working hard to learn a new job. We really enjoy Mi Chante and will definitely be back many more times! Prosper is lucky to have this nice local restaurant that isn't a big chain. read more

We stop by for lunch , place is really small , ambiance is ok , they do have patio seating , there's only 1 stall rr, bar is decent size , we had beef enchiladas & tostones . Enchiladas were good , tostones was ok. The salsa was really good though . Service could have been better , server wasn't attentive, and it was not busy at all had to look around to get servers attention. read more

The food here is incredibly fresh and full Of flavor. Chips are served with three types of salsa and all three are delicious. Don't fill up on the chips and salsa because you don't want to miss any portion of your meal. Service was definitively a 5. There are no negatives at all. This place is head and shoulders above most other Mexican restaurant I've been to- I highly recommend the hamburger- weird I know for a Mexican restaurant- just order it and you will understand. read more

Two other tables were actually ahead of us. We waited 40 minutes only for a VIP couple to walk in & get what should have been our table without even so much as an apology!! I placed a pick up order for a small cup of queso and a brisket quesadilla. I arrived approximately 15 minutes after placing the order. By the time I received the food it had been almost 40 minutes for a cup of queso and an enchilada. When ordering I specifically asked to put all of the extras on the side particularly the sour cream. When I got home the sour cream was all over the top of the quesadilla. Not the end of the world. I called and asked them to just refund me for the quesadilla. They offered to make me another quesadilla which I declined as I'd already spent the past 40 minutes waiting on the first one and did not want to get back out. The manager told me he was not able to refund me because he'd have to call the credit card processing place and they were probably already closed and he could not do that. I spent $40 on a cup of queso and a quesadilla I could not eat and something as simple as refunding me they could not accommodate. I will not come back to this place.
