We went yesterday before the dinner rush around 4:30. The place was pretty empty. But service was so slow. It took forever to get a server for us to order drinks. When we were ready to order again the server came and took our order but never came back. 20min later he came back and said "so are you ready for another round". At some point we got another server and she was much more attentive. I will say the drinks were very good and very strong! The Jalisco Twister was my fav. The queso was good, not too spicy. The steak quesadilla was good but nothing special. I would go again just for the drinks and to socialize because the atmosphere was pretty cool. Got to Mia Dia 30 minutes prior to a football game for my father's birthday. Requested that they change the channel to my father's alumni game, and they did. Saw the first 5 minutes of said game then I was told that a different game had been requested by someone else. Apparently the manager also wanted to watch that game so they changed it and told me it was up to the manager. I asked her to please change it back on account of my father's birthday, but to no avail they didn't. After that entire situation I ordered combo fijatis for my girl friend and I. They came out and didn't bring us any plates to make them on. Once we got the plates there was only enough meat for each of us to make one fajita. When I asked if I could get more meat they told me I had only ordered a single, despite the two different meats, and if I wanted more it'd cost me $15. After that our table got very little attention, and they took 10 minutes to refill our waters. All in all it was the worst experience I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant much less one that charges you $25 for a single order of fajitas. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN. I think the best way to describe my experience dining here would be bizarre. First time for me personally but the friends that I was with have been here before and enjoyed themselves. Aesthetically the restaurant is beautiful. And we dined out on the patio which was great. There was a little wait for a table as expected but not an issue since we grabbed some cocktails at the bar. We all ordered margaritas with the choice of having them either on the rocks or frozen. They tasted great! I specifically wanted to mention the choice of rocks or frozen because later on in the night when we were seated and wanted another round one of my friend wanted to switch to frozen and our waitress told him no, that he cannot have his margarita frozen. Left us a little confused since we were offered that option at the bar ? The next bizarre incident was during ordering our main courses. I am a vegetarian and when I asked if I can order the enchildadas or flautas but only cheese no meet inside AGAIN our waitress told me no. I've never dined at a restaurant where I couldn't take something out of the entree. I appreciate the fact the restaurant had a vegetarian menu and I found something but the name of this place literally says "Made from Scratch." So either my waitress was confused or the place doesn't live up to their name. Shame. I LOVE Mexican food so I was super excited. read more

This is one of my top favorite Mexican restaurants, and I love how convenient it is to where I live. I love the atmosphere inside and on an evening with mild temps, it's nice to sit out on the patio. The staff is always great and super attentive, so the two times I've been I've received excellent service. I enjoy the table-side guacamole. Oh and if in doubt, add the bacon to it! You can't go wrong with any of their dishes or drinks. So grab a friend or family member and make a reservation. But some helpful advice, make them in advance to ensure getting in! Oh, and parking fills up quickly since they share a lot with Fireside Pies, Winewood and Bob's Steak and Chop, so I've had to park across the street before and walk over. Well like most places this year service and quality has gone down hill . Menu has been simplified and is a glorified version of a taco stand except 3 times the price. Service at the bar was far less than it has been in years past. Rushed to order then ignored when water and drinks need refiling. Food was outstanding! The only down side is the portion sizes are super small. My friend got the fajitas (for two) and finished it and an entire appetizer easily by herself. In one word: DELICIOUS. It's hard to go wrong with Mexican food, however gourmet Mexican food can be hit or miss, in my experience. We stopped by here for a quick lunch and the restaurant was bustling with customers. We found a seat at the bar, and avoided the wait time. We essentially wanted to get food and go, and quickly realized this is a great spot to dine with some extra time. We basically ordered our food - steak quesadilla for me, chicken fajitas for him - gobbled it up and had to leave quickly. It was delicious and the service was so efficient. Must have been an off night, as I've been here several times and food and service were always good. Came on a Wednesday with wife and nephew. Had a 25 minute wait, but they're always busy at night. Ordered two tacos and an enchilada with rice and beans along with a sangria. Sangria was totally tasteless. Just no taste at all. Food came out after 20 minutes (an unusually long wait) and it was cold. Not warm, but cold. And it just didn't meet my expectations. First up it's a pricy place to eat. Our bill was in acres of 150 for 4 and we didn't order appetizers. It's a good place though for a nice dinner if you are celebrating something or for a date if the date can deal with spice. They have a separate vegetarian and gluten free menu which is quite refreshing. Food is good, location pretty good and easily accessible. Very good food, but a little different than your normal enchilada. I had the chicken street tacos made with shredded chicken and chorizo. Not a fan of chorizo but these were good none the less. Each taco had a large chunk of Avocado on top which finished off the wonderful taste. Salsa was spicy, couldn't get enough. Chips were not salty enough for my liking, but still good. Great Mexican food! This particular location has a great patio section and outdoor bar that is very nice when the weather is good. Mi Dia has some of the highest quality Mexican food for the price. My personal favorite is the Mucho Plato, which is like fajitas on overload, including not just fajita chicken and beef, but also ribs (incrediblely tender), quail, and bacon wrapped shrimp. It's delicious and is enough food for 2, making it more than worth the price. They also have one of the better drink lists I've seen, with over a page dedicated to custom margarita variations. They also have great featured drinks that aren't always on the menu (my wife had the pineapple/coconut marg, and it was excellent). read more

Wow! Went here for a lunch meeting and it was delicious. I ordered a lunch plate that Came with one tamale, a small bowl of tortilla soup, and a salad. I've been here several times and it's all because of the guacamole. Not sure if it's because of the bacon or sundried tomatoes they add to it, but dang, it's the best non traditional guac in the area! That being said, I don't necessarily love the food here. It's a bit overpriced for my taste, but if you want something fancy, it's definitely the place to go! Staff is extremely attentive and the drinks are good! The takeout from here is great. We discovered them during quarantine and now they are a favorite. The family beef taco kit delicious. Tip on ordering queso and guacamole. Order the "not so tableside" guacamole from the regular menu. It is so much better than the large guac they offer on the family style menu. As for the queso, the opposite is true. The quart queso on the family style menu is much better if you are looking for a traditional style queso. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is that it can be very hard to get through on the phone on a Saturday. I called at 4pm to place an order for pickup at 7 and was put on hold twice and had to hang up and call back 4 times before I got anyone to take my order.
