    Complimentary salsa flight

Came here for dinner with some girlfriends. The restaurant is very nice and plenty of space/tables. We got sat in the back so it was a bit chilly; draft from the air-- so if you're sensitive to cold ask to be sat elsewhere. The food was very good. We ordered the shrimp ceviche, chicken flautas, and I got a combo plate. We also shared their duo queso & guac & their Brussels sprouts. Both were delicious! I got a shrimp enchilada with my combo and I think the cheese sauce was just overkill. It would've been better with a lighter cream sauce, but that's just my opinion. The actual shrimp filling was so so good. Our first waiter, Jordan, was awesome! Quick and attentive to everything. We did ask to move to the patio at the end of our meal so we could enjoy drinks with a friend that showed up later-- the waiter outside seemed to rush us out the door a bit. The parking was also a bit tricky because it's located in a shopping plaza, it's not bad but I would say not great for ppl who need special accommodations and are not able to grab to front few handicap spaces; you'd have to park and walk up a few steps to the street level then across a busy traffic area that has the pedestrian walkway.

The food was great. The 3 salsa, were weak and all had a weird flavor. The waiter was pretty good but after we got a Togo box for left overs he disappeared with out leaving the ticket . Finally got the bill and then he disappeared again . Ended up paying on line , then as we were walking out , he came running over , held us up to make sure we paid ‍. Would have been 4 's but this knocked them down a notch . They do have an inviting well stocked bar and a few good happy hour drinks.

We were looking for a Mexican place to try in South lake and this one did not disappoint. We got chips and dips when we sat down, we shared 3 dishes, tuna tacos, battered fish tacos and shrimp fajitas.. all 3 were very flavourful and we loved our dinner there. A little on the spicy side but I managed with some water to cook down. We came on Halloween day so the atmosphere was very Halloweeny

The quinoa tacos were a great vegan option! The restaurant was nice on a weekend and our server was knowledgeable about the menu for dietary restrictions.

Been here twice both for large company lunch. Love the mesero carbon, beef was very tasty. Served was very attentive. Great place to have group (company) lunches.

This Mother's Day was absolutely the best one I've ever had. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the day feel even more special. We enjoyed an incredible meal with dishes that were not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavor. The quality of the food was outstanding, and every bite was delightful. The service was exceptional as well, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion--definitely a solid 10/10 experience. I can't wait to come back again for another memorable time!

Lucky to be back in the big D for a work meeting and Mesero was at the top of my must return to for lunch with a friend! First time at this location and it had a nice suburban vibe. Friendly staff and they did not mind us sitting at our table for a long period of time while we caught up together. Plenty of parking since it is located in the Central Market strip mall. Chips and salsa were quickly provided which were fresh and tasty. Both of us ordered from the brunch menu. I ordered egg whites scramble with assorted tortillas. My friend ordered the omelette. Food promptly arrived hot and good size portion. Still love Meseros !

3.5 stars. The restaurant is beautiful. There is a full bar. Clean. Staff is on top of things. But writing today's review strictly on the food we tried today. We were seated immediately. It was a bit later lunch hour and it wasn't busy at all. The menu had a ton of options and all sounding yummy. The chips and salsa were very good. With 3 flavors of dip. I just had the polo verde soup. The soup had a nice amount of chicken, the verde broth was very good. I would definitely have it again. For the entree we ordered the combination enchilada. It was a cheese enchiladas with red sauce. The presentation was amazing but that's where the amazingness stopped. The red enchilada sauce was not very good. The tortillas didn't seem to be home made and were thick. The shrimp taco was lacking flavor, the shrimp were small but a nice amount of the peppers were a green pepper and the sauce was a drizzle of something that you really couldn't taste the rice was a white rice with very few veggies thrown in. Again, presented nicely but lacked flavor. Over all this wasn't an exceptional visit for us. But we would give it another chance.

Both the Tavern and Tycoon are in Flower Mound, and I have not visited, but I have made stops at both Jane and now Volstead. And I have to say, I wanted to be impressed, and I just wasn't. When I went to Jane, the cocktails were not up to snuff. My visit to Volstead, the cocktail was fantastic but the ambiance and food disappointed. I came into Volstead to check out the happy hour. They have a discount on wine, and half off their signature cocktails and martinis. They make craft cocktails, which were impressive, but only have one bartender. It takes time, but they could use another. I ordered a Volstead Vesper. It is a bold martini. Josh made it well. It was well balanced. Boozy yet balanced. And I love a lemon curl. A garnish can really elevate a cocktail. Five stars for the drink. I will come back and order another one. I also ordered their spicy tuna crispy rice. It was rather a disappointment. The serving size was generous, the crunch on the rice was there, and then it fell short. The texture of the rice was on the mushier side. The tuna was NOT spicy. It had been dressed in something, but it brought absolutely NO flavor or anything to the tuna. There was a wasabi cream and a sauce (maybe eel sauce) that dressed the plate, but the tuna was bland. A little soy, citrus, yuzu, sriracha or SOMETHING to elevate and brighten the tuna would have been EVERYTHING. So it just ended up being bland tuna, on undressed avocado, on fried mushy rice with some tasty sauces. It absolutely was not spicy. And with a little something something it could have been rather tasty. Even with mushy rice. When I walked in and sat down, there was no music playing so you were just hearing conversations bouncing off the walls. After about a half hour someone decided they needed some tunes, but then it was too loud and it was hard to hear the bar tenders. I loved the decor, and again, my cocktail was really rather good. The overall feel just felt kind of sloppy. It could have been awesome, and fell short. They claim to have Southlakes best burger, and maybe that is a better choice than the tuna. I may give it a shot. It got rather popular as I was leaving, the crowd a bit more mature. And maybe that is their bag. They have great reviews and high stars, I just didn't feel it.

I do usually swap out the mashed potatoes for the chopped wedge as side, just seems like the classical steakhouse side for the task. The only thing I would say that is lacking is the wine list, despite being very fairly priced. Their most bespoke bottle of red is the Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon (2021), which while amazing for the $99.99 they charged, it was fairly flat, lacking the traditional vanilla perfume you'd expect from a pricey California Cabernet Sauvignon.
