I've been coming to this location, on and off, for over 30 years; first El Amigo, and now Los Amigos. Doubtfully the businesses were related, but the reasons I've loved this place still remain true. Delicious Tex-Mex food served in generous helpings that always allow for a leftover box (tomorrow's lunch!), and great prices for what you get. I usually order the 3-item combo; Chili Relleno, Chicken Enchilada, and Beef Taco, with beans and rice, starting with the free chips and salsa and an ice cold beer. With a nice tip, it's all only @ $20- or so. That makes for one terrific lunch (plus tomorrow's extra one). My only complaint is that the friendly staff tends to frown on taking an after-lunch siesta in their booths. read more

This place is...TERRIBLE!! As soon as I walked in, I was immediately called a cracker. They sat me and my son down at a table in this corner that had mice feces and a dead rat. I swear I saw the maggots having babies on top of the rats 4th rib bone. The food tastes amazing and is the only reason I will come back. I had avocado toast and my son the molé. We were thoroughly impressed even after seeing the maggots baby umbilical cord cut right in front of our eyes. Me and my son felt really unwelcome. The service is so bad I waited 30 minutes for my daughters food while everyone that came after me already had their food and i asked why my daughters food wasn't ready and I said im not paying for this food and I got threatend to pay for the food then he went and lied and said that he never threatened me . This place is not that obvious, I drove by and had to come back. It's a very simple place but inside is cozy and the staff is super friendly and very welcoming. My Mexican mule was delicious and really the best of this evening. Complimentary chips and salsa. Ordered nachos with shredded chicken and beans. No clue how they would be without the extra charged beans and chicken but they were just gross. I ate it because I was starving but I didn't order anything else. The food is not good. This place calls itself a seafood restaurant, yet the only seafood on the menu is tilapia and shrimp. Kind of gross. We used to come here to eat two or three times a month when it was los amigos, And it was really good. The food was always fresh and the service was always good. I was highly disappointed by this food. The mojarra (frozen perch) had absolutely zero taste. Granted it is perch, which is not a very tasty fish to begin with, but this thing tasted old. The chips were slightly chewy, and you could tell most all of the ingredients were from a can or a jar. What was really offputting was at every meal came with a side of frozen processed french fries for filler. Come on. Nasty. We definitely will not be back here as the food quality is abysmal. On a good note, the service was great. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The ambience makes you feel like it is some great, Mexican seafood restaurant. That is definitely not the case. If you are looking for Mexican seafood, you probably should head elsewhere. read more

We drove 35 minutes today from my house to come check out this place. It was certainly a diamond in the rough! Family run and operated. We heard about it through a friend and had to go check it out. Not sure we would have went here if we didn't have a coupon. My wife had the assada fries, I had a chicken burrito. And we finished with sopapillas. The food was average at best. The assada fries had under cooked oily frozen french fries and little burnt pieces of beef. The burrito was mainly beans and rice as a filler with a very little proportion of chicken that had no flavor. There was supposed to be a hot chilli Verde in or on the burrito. There was none. I ended up putting the salsa that came with the chips on top for a little flavor. The sopapillas were under cooked and a little oily with a heavy yeast flavor. Not pleasant at all. The wait staff is the only reason I gave it 3 stars. They were very polite and helpful. We will not be going back. read more

We ordered the Presidente margaritas from the menu And were served a shot glass with alcohol. My chicken quesadilla was pretty good my spouses dinner arrived with a plate full of green chili a little bit of rice in a little bit of refried beans They forgot to put the meat in the green chili. There are so many Mexican restaurants around. If rating, I'd put this in the middle, but being it's in our neighborhood I'd move it up a notch. Their quest dip is delicious and my taco salad was very good. I'd recommend if you're in the area. Nice people there. The old restaurant there had great green chili. Theirs is just so so. I can't say enough great things about this place. I ordered off of GrubHub and the driver never delivered our food so I called the restaurant and the manager or owner (not sure who it was) had the kitchen cook our meal again and insisted one of his employees deliver it to my house directly even though our house was outside of their delivery radius. I've been here for dinner twice in the past two weeks with my family, both were amazing. We love the hard tacos, the shell is light and airy but somehow thick at the same time (obviously made in house)...SO GOOD. Never had anything like it before, and I eat a lot of Mexican food. I personally had the carne asada street tacos the first night, and and the combo plate the second and both were on point! This is literally the best restaurant i have ever gone to. I have never had better Chicken Alfredo or butter noodles.
