Very clean dinning area. Great service. Not my idea of flavorful Mexican food. The Burritos are more like an enchilada stuffed with very little meat. I could not find any beans,rice or cheese, usually found in a hefty burrito. They were only about the size of a hot dog. The sides of rice and beans had no taste. The salsa served with chips was like stewed tomatoes. We had better in supermarket jars. We also had Chili Rellenos . They were not dipped in an egg mixture and floured then fried. They were naked stuffed with meat and topped with a little cheese. My question is always...Would I return? My answer is NO flavor, NO return. read more

So i read that the owners are from Jalisco, so is my family and us having a restaurant in southern California for over 50 years kinda makes me knowledgeable about what a good Mexican restaurant should be. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and seated. I asked if we could hold off on the salsa and instead order guacamole. After the guacamole was prepared, first taste had zero heat and an overload of salt and citrus. I ordered Carne asada which came with rice and beans. It came promptly and the Carne had zero flavor and was very tough. The rice was bland and the beans had been over cooked. Well there you have it. As long as locals in the area do not demand quality, this is what you will get. read more

This is our 1st time at this eatery. They have a large menu with all of the usual items found at a Mexican restaurant. The chips were fresh and quite tasty. The salsa was excellent. Very fresh with good flavor and the queso although delicious in flavor was very thin and watery. My husband had the Texas nachos and I had the chili poblano side and beef chimi side dish. The nachos were huge and plentiful with large shrimp, steak and chicken strips and the usual fixings. The chili poblano was flavorful but again the cheese very thin and runny. The beef in the chimi had a nice flavor but the outside shell was very soggy, almost as if it had been previously fried then reheated. Despite this, it was still very good! Our servers were friendly and very attentive. I've not been successful in finding a good Mexican restaurant since moving to Palm Bay. I vowed never to return to any of the previously tried Mexican restaurants but, this restaurant will most definitely be on my try again list! 4/5 stars only because of the watery cheese read more

My wife and I have been looking for a new Mexican place to try. A friend suggest we try this place, so we gave it a shot for lunch. We were there at about noon on a Friday. Place was pretty empty. I had to wash my hands so I hit the washroom while my wife waited to be seated. She got sat immediately and the waitress asked what we wanted to drink. We got 2 club sodas. We got a basket of chips and salsa immediately. Drinks took a bit of time to get to us. Maybe 5 mins. Salsa was good, chips were mostly broken and crumbs. Once we ordered, food took literally 2 mins to get to us. Wife and I both ordered the same thing. Lunch special #7. Burrito, taco, enchilada. Made with ground beef. Plates were big, food was arranged nicely. Food was not as hot, temperature wise, as I'd like. Burrito was lukewarm in the middle but not inedible. Meat was seasoned well. My biggest takeaway was the red sauce that was on the burrito and enchilada. It was very heavy in tomato flavor. Almost like a ketchup base. It was not seasoned well. It lacked the spices I'm accustomed to in an enchilada sauce. Taco was nice but all the lettuce was on the plate, not in the taco. I guess that was by design as it was on both plates like that. More than enough food for the price. Service was mediocre. Waitress never returned to see how our food was until we were done and needed the check. Never refilled our drinks. For the price, we were happy. If we had just gotten flat water we would have gotten out for about $17. Not a bad deal. Only major complaint was the server not being as cordial as attentive as we'd have liked. We will probably give it another shot and see if we can get the review up to 5 stars. read more

Since ive been here the prices have increased to a point where it's just way too much for the level of quality you're getting. On top of that, they charge you extra for using a credit card. However, if you actually pay cash they never have any change!! So why the hell do they offer it? With the size of this town we should have much better options. read more

I'm writing this review as a I wait to place a takeout order. The phone kept going to a voicemail box that wouldn't accept messages so I had to walk in. The waitress is overwhelmed. I've been patient while she sat two parties, took a phone call, and is now helping someone else pick up their delivery order. I've been here 15 minutes. ISeems way understaffed. I ate here for the first time earlier this week. It was take out. It was good. I came back again. And I was just informed that getting my burrito without beef will cost me $2. I didn't say add it. I said subtract. But any change is $2. This is a huge oversight and not being enforced as intended I'm sure. Asking for no lettuce on the fajita was free of charge though. So there's that. Food is good but I'm not interested in returning. I don't do well with random rules that make no sense. It's enough of a deterrent to make me say --nope! I'll just go down the road and get my bean burrito elsewhere. read more

Ok.... So in Melbourne from Cali for son's little league baseball World Series. I was craving Mexican food - been away for 7 days and was looking for a little "comfort" food after a long day. Although reviews weren't great, I decided to give it a try as restaurant is close to my hotel AND I like to be fair and form my own opinion. Well... this time it didn't work out for me. Started with the strong smell of Pine Sol once we walked in the door (should have turned around and left at that moment). Followed by server being very assertive - down right pushy. I asked for a couple of minutes to look over vast menu once seated. She returned almost immediately looking for us to place order. I felt compelled to make a decision - settled for chile relleno plate and my son ordered grilled fish plate. Food came out quickly....so quickly that I had concerns..... And I was right. Food was lukewarm and tasteless at best.....just not good overall....it is entirely possible that we did not order the right menu items, but if our plates were indicative of the quality of the other items then this is not the place to eat. I believe there has to be better Mexican food out there. We stopped to get something else to eat on way back to hotel. read more

We are from New Jersey and this is the kind of place we look for! It's really tough to find good restaurants of any type. We gave this one to try tonight and we were shocked by how great it was. The ambience in the restaurant when you first walk in is very inviting and the booths are very cozy & comfortable. The menu is big, with so many options from seafood to chicken to steak and also vegetarian. Everything we ordered was fabulous! The burritos were amazing! The flavors in our food were delicious. Even the chips and salsa that are served seem authentic and tasty. The staff was very attentive and we just loved everything about it. We were waiting with such anticipation for this restaurant to open as the Suntree Viera area is in dire need of legitimate authentic Mexican cuisine. I'll start with a good: they spent a lot of money on the interior. the banquets and bar are very nice for a strip mall. Unfortunately they didn't plan on the size of the guacamole cart, prepared table side, to be so large that it took up all the walking space in the restaurant. The service was pleasant but was poorly trained on menu. No ingredient or preparation style knowledge. I ordered an especial combo of an uninspired enchilada, sad taco, and benign burrito as if these juero's will eat anything. The standouts were a pretty solid relleno and decent guacamole. We've ventured all over the county searching for the best in Brevard, and Pueblo Magico on Merritt Island is by far the best and worth the trek. read more

First time diners at Mi Jalisco, We dined outdoors and it was fine. They lowered the shades and position of the restaurant offered a breeze. Unfortunately, the fans were inoperable. Nubia served us and she was professional, fun and lovely. We got Tierra y Mal (chicken, shrimp, etc) and a Veggie combo dish. The portions were just right and the food was very good. Was it the best Mexican food we ever ate ... no, but for a neighborhood restaurant close to home it was fine for us. Would I recommend it, Yes I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. When in town we always try to stop at Jalisco because the family loves it. Service has been always been "OK" but this last time we had a terrible experience. We placed an order for 4 meals and 2L of Margaritas. One of the meals we ordered was chile colorado, after picking up went straight home (5 min away) and opened the bag. We realized they didn't give us the chile rojo we ordered but they gave us green, not a big deal I call them just to let them know and see if they could swap it out. The hostess didn't know what to say and pass the phone to a guy who I'm assuming is the manager so I explained the situation. He immediately say I was wrong, then he proceeded to go and "talk" to the kitchen staff and came back and he said everything we ordered was in the bag. I told him he wasn't correct and offered to bring bag the entire order for them to check. He said no, that they were correct and they weren't going to fix it and hang up on me. Like I say, my family has supported this business since the opening, but this last experience was enough for us to continue spending our money at this place. Avoid this place if possible read more

Margaritas are horrible. Who is the world puts club soda in a 'fresh' margarita. Steak tacos were bland and mediocre at best. Severely lacking in flavor and decent meat. The shrimp with spinach and broccoli was so greasy my wife barely ate half but was told that's how it comes. Piss poor and will never be back to this place. On my first visit I tried the Cancun Grill meal which was excellent; however, when I had this meal a second time it tasted very different. This also occured with my chosen type of their $15 top shelf margarita and other dishes. I've visited/eaten at this place 6 times.
