I have been going to this restaurant for years. They are behind the metro center mall in Phoenix. What I love about them is their food is consistent. From the muddy schools to the soup to the breakfast burritos everything I get is amazing. The flavor is very authentic and the environment is always friendly. I called them today at 10:30 A.m. with the short notice of 20 street tacos needed. They took it on with no hesitation and made them fresh for me. Another perk is that they chose to go further and provide me with the jalapeños, carrots, limes, and cucumbers. Something I did not ask for but they knew that was needed to enjoy a true street taco. They also did the cilantro and onions on the side for my clients. I suggest you look into them for any of your party needs or just to enjoy a good local Mexican restaurant. read more

The food is really delicious - I will give you that. It was the best pastor I have had in a long time. The price is reasonable.... 5 street tacos, beans and rice for $13.99, as listed on the menu - which would have been lunch for 2 days, had that been what I received. I got the 5 tacos, and a tiny bag of chips with salsa. Your menu may have changed recently, but if that is the case, you need to update it on GrubHub. Of course, I don't know many people who are going to want to pay $13.99 for what I got. Seems excessive. I order through GrubHub, and I tip very well (those folks deserve it - especially the guy who brought my lunch today) - so it's expensive. That is why I try to order enough to have 2 meals out of one order. I will probably give it another try because of how good the food is, but just once more if the issues aren't resolved. I don't plan to make it a habit of paying that much extra to not get the complete meal that is advertised. read more

Excellent food and service staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. We went for taco Tuesday 5 street tacos for 10 bucks. I chose the pastor and my wife wanted a chili relleno also. They have a chip bar with salsa, the salsa wasn't very spicy I asked the person at the counter and she gave me 2 of their spicy salsas, oh so good. The pastor was very good and my wife's comment with regard to the relleno " finally back somewhere that knows how to make one". Overall a good experience. Food was good, but expensive for the amount I got. I ordered the beef burrito that came enchilada style with rice on the side. The portion was good, but not great for a hungry guy like me. It was comparative to a Beefy 5-layer burrito at Taco Bell. The flavor of the burrito was very good as well as the rice. Both were well cooked and seasoned well. The complimentary chips came with salsa and a bean dip. Chips were crispy and tasted fresh. Both of the dips were delicious. A bit spicy for me, but still very good. Service was quick and efficient. My waiter was very pleasant and took good care in making sure everything was to my liking. He came around often to check up on me and refill drinks and chips as needed. He always had a smile and was very polite. I sat on the porch area of the restaurant so I can't really review what the inside was like. The outside seating is in the front of the restaurant facing the parking lot. There are several tables with umbrellas to keep the sun off you. The tables were kept clean and dirty dishes were taken immediately after people left. Good food! I had the tamale and cheese enchilada combo. The sauce on the enchilada was delicious. Rice and beans were authentic and pretty good too! I also had a michelada which I felt was overpriced. My son had the two soft combos with steak. They were good but enjoyed the flavor of the rice and beans over the meat seasoning. I came in at 2:03 pm as stated on my receipt and it is now 2:26pm and I just got my food. My taco was cold and it was not chicken as I asked for. The meal was not the best that I have every time I come in here. When I ask why did it took so long she did not answer me. She is the same person who took my order. If she would of answered my question or even say sorry for the delay it would of been ok. You might want to teach her to be nice to customers. I work at the Doubletree down the street am I have been coming here for over a year and I tell my clients to come in here for good Mexican food. Came for a nice hearty Mexican breakfast and Mi Pueblo did not disappoint. I didn't take any photos of our food unfortunately, but the steak and eggs was very good even though it was technically their carne asada and not a true "steak." Lets start with the complimentary hot chips and salsa. Many Mex style recipes give you those cheap paper thin tasteless chips but not Mi Pueblo. These chips are lighy, crispy, and flavorful and salsas are really tasty. On this visit I ordered the chicken taco plate and I not disappointed. The chicken was moist, seasoned, and loaded with flavor. The chicken tacos came with a homemade "dressing" not sure what it was. All I know it was really good. Even though I was completely full, I couldn't leave without trying dessert. So I decided to try the sopapillas which come drizzled with honey and powdered sugar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side, it was delicious. Good food, inexpensive meals, and great customer. In the scorching heat of Phoenix, the interiors gave a cool and pleasant feeling. Food:- 5/5 I ordered the Garlic Cheese Chicken Enchiladas and they were delicious. My colleague ordered for Chipotle Enchiladas which were their daily specials. I was looking for Breakfast (Burritos) on last Sunday morning and there was nothing open at 7:30am. So I looked on my Yelp app and found Mi Pueblo that was just only a 1/4 mile from the Hotel where we were staying in the Metro Center. I was impressed with it's being clean and ready to serve people by 8:00am on a Sunday and if fact they are open everyday starting at 8am. I was greeted by a young woman who was friendly and cheerful and I gave her my order and only had to wait about 10 minutes to get my food. By the way the Burritos were very good and cooked to our liking. Thanks to the cook who did them. I would recommend Mi Pueblo's to anyone staying in the Metro Center of Phoenix for food at anytime. A friend of mine was raving about this place so being a weekend a couple of us took the long drive to Metro. I secretly wasn't expecting much (I admit I was being cynical) that's why I love when I get proven wrong! The place is tucked away from the craziness of the Metro parkway in a largely deserted shopping center. Large patio and festive colors and the inside is open and clean. I don't like eating inside fast food places but Mi Pueblo is like a hybrid between fast food and restaurant. Sure you order at the counter then find a seat (they bring it to you) I loved the beverage bar because you can always help yourself to a refill and you will never run out of chips and salsa because they have their own self serve bar. Food came fast I had the six halves grilled chicken soft tacos, which is like cut triangles stuffed with peppers and really flavorful chicken then grilled so it's crispy. Served with rice/beans and sour cream and red pepper dip, I loved it! My partner had the shrimp chimichanga and the shrimp had a nice flavor to them, a bit too much fried shell vs. filling but still tasty, it was topped with a garlic cream sauce that gave it a nice zing. I love this restaurant! Great seafood selection and their beans are Vegetarian which is not easy to find. I never had a problem with service and their tea tastes freshly brewed. The cheese crisp is a great appetizer, and you can add green chiles for extra heat. A lot of healthy options and classics available. Everything is delicious and the food presentation also impresses but a bit pricey for me. If you love avocados and seafood this is a great "hole in the wall" for you. Family-friendly too. This place is great!! I love the grilled chicken and avocado salad - I order it without the big shell. The dressing is awesome and the chicken marinade is yummy. I also like the fajitas so I go back and forth from these items. This last time we went we ordered the spinach dip which is also good. My fiancée loves the aguachiles- buyer beware it is HOT!!
