We had a tasty dinner here. The chimichanga was chock full of chicken. The margarita was tasty. The salsa with the chips was delicious with a definite spicy kick. The combo platter with chili releno, tacos, and enchilada - the chili releno was made as a taco and was very tasty. The shredded beef in the tacos were nicely seasoned but not too spicy. Don't judge a book by its cover! The outside looks like it has been abandoned and inside is beautiful, clean, and inviting. The service was very friendly. The food was a little bland, I had Flaco's tacos which was basically a burger patty in a taco shell with lettuce tomato and cheese. Out here for work. My coworker wanted to try some Mexican ,so Mi Pueblo popped up. Nice little place friendly people. The service was great. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. I had the tacos with beans and rice. They were delicious. My buddy had the enchiladas he really liked them. Restaurant is cute and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was definitely not what my group is used to. The restaurant was crowded which I felt was a good sign and our local did prepare us that rice in Winslow is no bueno at all the restaurants!?! Like mushy oatmeal consistency. Why? Maybe elevation? Red enchilada, kid's chicken, French fries, chips and salsa were all good. Not a fan of the hamburger patties in a taco, green enchiladas and obviously the rice! Though we didn't enjoy most of our food and I've never seen a chili relleno served on a tortilla with no sauce I can't say enough about the staff and the cleanliness. Every taste is different and the price point allowed for us to try a whole variety. I would try again just different items. Oddly the compliment rice pudding is a nice touch. As you enter Winslow on the Westside, you'll come across this little gem. The outside doesn't look so inviting, but trust me, the food is delicious! The food and drinks reminded me of a home cooked meal. The service provided by the young gentleman was the absolute best. He kept checking on us and answered our questions regarding the menu items. This is a family run business and you can tell they take pride in their food. Just a couple of tips for those who visit: 1) If you're not a fan of too much cheese on your beans, let them know to take it easy on the cheese. 2) Their style of rice is a lil more moist than normal 3) Their red sauce has pork and the green sauce has beef. They note it on their menu. The delicious plates I would recommend are the shredded beef sope, huevos rancheros, and the chile verde enchiladas. read more

Stop at Winslow Arizona for breakfast/lunch. Decided to try this little mexican restaurant. Which had no dine in, only take out, but they had parking lot service, the waitress came to out vehicle, which was nice. I ordered the red burrito which has beans and cheese, I added rice. The red sauce was good, but it has some diced beef in it. I really just wanted a bean, rice and cheese burrito, no meat. I don't know why they put diced beef in their red sauce. But the burrito was good. The meat wasn't tough but the meat could of been a lot more tender. The service was good and helpful with the menu. read more

We had the good fortune to find this little family-run restaurant when we stayed overnight in Winslow. I've eaten Mexican food all over the world, including Mexico, and this was right up there with the best I've ever eaten. The rice and beans were unusual in a delicious way and all the food was authentic and simply fantastic. I especially liked the taco our server recommended (not on the menu) and the chilli relleno served on an open tortilla. He said his Auntie is the cook and she is an excellent one! We cannot recommend highly enough and we'll eat there every time we drive through Winslow. We can't wait to try more of the menu! read more

Stayed in Winslow for a couple nights at the Best Western and this restaurant was located right next to the hotel and off of I-40. Although it's located outside of Downtown Winslow, it was recommended by locals. Amongst the three of us, we did take-out. Currently during the pandemic, the restaurant is not doing dine-in. One ordered the Enchiladas Chihuahua (vegetarian four cheese red enchiladas) and I ordered the Carne asada platter. The rice was so bad, very moist and wet. The meat was somewhat dry and very chewy where it wasn't super appetizing. The other person in my party that ordered enchiladas said they were not great and were taste-less. Overall perhaps we may have ordered the wrong thing but based off of our experience, I don't think we will return to this place. read more

Authentic affordable homemade Mexican cooking full of flavor. Location: At time of writing Mi Pueblo is right off the interstate (Exit 255). Plenty of parking for cars and RV's, making it an easy stop for travelers as well as locals. That said, they are moving the location down the road so not sure the RV or trailer parking then. Ambiance: Very relaxed so perfect stop for travelers, Winslow corner sightseers, local workers, etc. Service: Outstanding! Polite and quick, quick, quick with bringing dang good Chips-n-Salsa and water. Very attentive the whole time, refilling drinks and Chips-n-Salsa without asking. Food: So dang good and authentic cooking right down to the rice pudding dessert with sprinkled cinnamon, which comes free with meal. I had the tacos and I have to say it reminded me of home, but in some ways a little better but don't tell my Mexican mother. Nothing here is coming from a Sysco food truck. Traveling alone on this trip I can't comment on the other dishes but I suspect they're all equally as good. Cleanliness: Also outstanding. Although, the building is old and tried but very well kept. Very clean from high to low dusting to freshly cleaned bathrooms. These folks take as much pride in the presentation and cleanliness of their restaurant as they do their food. Overall: It is going to be a sure stop for me on future drives and I definitely recommend it to other travelers. read more

What a find! Definitely stop for some delicious and authentic Mexican food. Nice and clean, but seriously the food is such a welcome surprise. Delish! Their salsa has a nice bite, warm chips to start. We got the simple guacamole and that was great too. I had the tacos de lengua, and usually I can only eat two tacos, but I ate all four, they tasted so good. I also devoured my refried beans, they were the best I've tasted in nearly a decade. I rarely eat more than a bite or two of my beans, but these were exceptional. My Mom had chili rellenos, and she also rarely finishes a plate, but not here, that plate was cleaned. My Dad had menudo, and I swear he was purring. Definitely worth the stop for a bite. read more

First time trying out this spot in Winslow and I got to say the customer service and food was very tasty... from the great spicy chips and salsa, to our meals which we got tacos and enchiladas wanted to try a few different dishes... to the little sweet desert at the end they give, rice pudding was just so great to end a spicy good meal... the only down fall I give it there rice, it was not good at all after trying one bit I was done with it, was to soft and mushy...I do recommend trying this Mexican restaurant out though... great little spot... read more

We just got two entrees. Very flavorful and fresh. Generous portions...as yummy as they were we couldn't finish. Loved the friendly staff.

They have a wonderful simple guacamole, great rolled tacos, delicious skillet fried tacos and amazing chips. Salsa is great too but hot. They have a wonderful server that is kind, friendly and treats you like a friend. Self seating is great too. I wish there were open all the time but I suppose they deserve a break too. Great Value and friendly servers/owners! We were cruising on our big drive from Vegas to Albuquerque and needed a place for lunch. We decided Winslow AZ was the place after reviewing the Yelps! This is a case of not judging a book by its cover as we originally drove right past Mi Pueblo and had to regroup to find it. The place is not fancy but the food is pretty good, but mixed results on some being great and others just Ok. We decided to split the Mixtas Platter which gives you a taste of what they have. You get a taco (choice of shell), Chili red, tamale and an enchilada plus rice and beans. The taco did not have much flavor as the meat was not very seasoned, the red chili was tasty, the beans were good but it had store bought shredded cheddar cheese on top in which we were hoping for a mexican cheese, the tamale was good but a little dry, the enchilada was very good with the Verdi sauce, the rice was the standard fair. We did opt to have some churros for dessert and they were great! They are light crisp, bathed in cinnamon and have a vanilla sauce in the center! They would only be better with a nice chocolate sauce on the side or drizzled on top! Our server did bring a small cold rice pudding at the end which was nothing special, except it does come free with your meal. I luckily forgot that tidbit when we ordered the churros (some mistakes are so good!). I would suggest the owner consider offering the churros for an up-charge instead of the free rice pudding and may be selling some more of them. Food - 3-4 stars - Some really good food some not so. Atmosphere - 2 stars - There isn't any, but it was clean. Service - 4 stars - Friendly and they were attentive. Price - 5 stars - Very reasonable, if you know what is good. I would say this place is 3.5 to 4 stars. Could use an improved facade or better sign. read more

Off the main road, you wouldn't really know it's there otherwise. We spent the day at Petrified Forest NP and planned to stop for dinner in Winslow on our way back home to Flagstaff. Saw the positive yelp reviews and had to try it out. Best idea! Delicious food and authentic cuisine! Party of 3, we had the chicken fajitas, chicken tacos, and chicken chimichanga and the portions were HUGE. The guacamole a la mexicana was so tasty. Complimentary small serving of sweet rice (rice pudding) was a real treat to finish the meal. Definitely will plan to stop again next time we are in town. Highly recommend. read more
