I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by everything from the gorgeous hotel and welcoming staff to the delicious food. I mean seriously... everything was so good! Our service was excellent. We ordered quite a bit of food and our server timed everything perfectly so no meals overlapped, giving us time to digest and enjoy our drinks between courses. A majority of their menu includes nuts, and I have a tree nut allergy. I was able to alter my orders a bit to accommodate my allergy but the level of care the staff provided to put my mind at ease, without me asking mind you, was truly what I would consider above and beyond service. My server made sure what I ordered was safe for me to eat by personally checking food labels as well as speaking with the head chef and then the manager came out to confirm that my orders were nut free AND the staff would be changing gloves to avoid any cross contamination. I mean, wow! After we finished eating, we went to the gift shop (which is a must visit!) and explored the hotel and got to see some truly unique and deeply thoughtful pieces of art by the incredibly talented, Tina Mion. Highly recommended for anyone interested in a unique dining experience and in a small town not too far from Flagstaff, if you're willing to make the drive!

We honestly thought it was just a coffee shop, but it turned out to be the perfect place for a light meal and a relaxing break. The shop has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with unique décor featuring photos of the local community and its history, which gave it a lot of character. There are several seating options, including high-top tables for two, lower tables with four chairs, and bar seating. The menu offers much more than coffee--they also serve sandwiches, ice cream, and other drinks. We ordered the Southwest Chicken Quesadilla, which came with a side of salsa, and it was absolutely delicious. To drink, we had the Raspberry Cream Soda and the Detox Water with strawberries, lemons, blueberries, and cucumbers. Both were refreshing, and the detox water was especially good. The background music was just right--not too loud, making it easy to enjoy a conversation. The shop was spotless, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The ladies behind the counter were welcoming, and the gentleman who prepared our food did an outstanding job. This was the perfect way to wrap up our visit to the area. We left with full bellies, great conversation, and a wonderful last stop before hitting the road. They are huge and delicious and you can get them smothered with cheese or bacon or whatever. They also have breakfast items, crepes, salads, sandwiches, ice cream, and some pretty fancy coffee drinks. Now about those hot dogs: We tried the Take It Easy dog (ketchup, mustard, diced onions) and the Kansas dog (bacon, cheese, and BBQ sauce). The Take It Easy may have standard toppings but the dog and bun are excellent. The Kansas dog was supreme. The dog, bun, and the toppings were fantastic. I don't know why the little town of Winslow has such good hot dogs but it just shows you never know what you may find.

The staff checked on me a few times and were very apologetic. The owners also came out and spoke with every customer. The papaya salad was fresh, tasty, and exactly what I wanted! So everything sort of clumps together. I felt the dish was missing that Drunken Tiger Thai Basil Fish Sauce + Sugar Soy Sauce flavor. Feel the fried rice can be simpler--- leave out the celery stalks, leave out the zucchini, and keep to garlic, basil, Thai bird eye chillis, onions and Pad Kee Mao Sauce. Missing that taste of flame where every rice is coated with the wok char. Pad Thai--- this was an outstanding Pad Thai. Considering we're literally in the middle of nowhere in Winslow AZ, the noodle dish wasn't Sugar Overload, it was light. Had a balanced amount of citrus acid lime, and tasted refreshing. Tom Kha---- this Tom Kha is how I'd imagine a white person would interpret it, lacks lime leaves, lacks sourness, and doesn't keep to its roots, shallots, lemongrass, Thai bird eye peppers, Mushrooms, cilantro and maybe tomatoes....but nothing more. This was almost like a Thai Coconut Vege Soup packaged in a plastic cup sold in some neighborhood in St Paul Minnesota at an Albertsons; I would modify it by cutting out the celery and carrots and maybe squeeze a bit more lime in there if the owners don't have a lime leaf tree. Egg Rolls-- I've made a ton of these back in my restaurant days, along with crab cheese wontons, so as a standalone appetizer this place has pretty decent egg rolls. Thai Ice Tea--- good, Balanced not sweet, light ; recommend. Overall this family restaurant was a good stop between Los Angeles and Route 66 Arizona. Every member of the family were incredibly friendly, couldn't ask for better service, they follow up with you and ask for suggestions to improve the dishes, and any other accommodations adjustments with the ingredients. So next time you know. Let them know. Wil definitely be coming back next time I drive through with my rig. Kudos for running a Thai restaurant so far away from society.

My husband and I split an enormous chorizo burrito. The chorizo was crispy and so very good. The burrito was covered in red and green salsa and loaded with cheese. Our friends had breakfast enchiladas. Filled, covered in sauce with two fried eggs on top. They could have split theirs too. Parking on the street or the lot across the street. Loved it!

However, the burrito was mostly potatoes, very little egg which was very disappointing. I had to cut it open and look for the eggs. Other than that, I had a great experience!

I also got the chicken fried steak dinner special- which was just okay. The mashed potatoes came out luke warm and the gravy seemed a little cooler than I expected. But the serving size was more than I could eat anyway. We wanted to try their many pies, but didn't have room to do so. It was a good experience, but not great. They do have a lot on the menu to try, so I do wonder what some other items may be like. So maybe another trip and we' ll try out some other food or the pies!
