    Terrible tasting food

Tourist before we get to the food I just want to let you know that if you want the employees to touch every part of themselves and then touch your food, This is the place for you. If not just for this reason never purchase anything here. The food is horrible. Tasted disgusting. This restaurant is for locals only which they are accustomed to eating this terrible Mexican food, I won't go into details, but please stay clear of this restaurant

I was a regular here until recently discovering an extra in my meal. Do not recommend.

#2- enchilada beans and rice buried under the bean torta sitting on top.

Generous portions and tons of options. In fact, the menu is overwhelming with so many choices. I settled on a cheese enchilada and bean torta with sides of rice and beans. My companion had a chimichanga. It was humongous! The food was tasty but nothing overly special. The salsa bar was mostly empty- three of the salsas were scraped completely out; the tiny bit left was frozen. Plus, no free refills on soda. The temperature in the restaurant was quite warm; in fact I thought it was a bit cooler outside- and that's saying something when it's late June in Winslow! I would return for food, but I think I might stick with carry out next time.

Great food. The Alfonso burrito is a foot long and full of flavor. The best burrito I've had in a while. I'd eat here over and over again.

It really is a great Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately they aren't open on Sundays. Love the enchiladas and the chilli rellenos.

It's located a short couple of blocks east of the Standin' on the Corner park. The place was packed by locals on a Saturday night at 6 PM. A table had just opened - it was quickly cleared and we were seated within a minute of arriving. Drink orders were taken and we perused the menu that was surprisingly varied and long. We both opted for Mexican food. I'm here to tell you that we both agreed that it was some of the best Mexican food we've had anywhere. And the sopapillas (included with the meal) were light and fresh and a great way to end the experience. The restaurant has been there a while. It's not fancy, seats are well-worn and there are probably a dozen or so tables total. The servers worked hard, were attentive and friendly. Our meal cost $40 + tip - not bad for 2 meals, a beer and a glass of wine. Without the recommendation, we probably would have never stopped there. We knew when we walked in and saw the place packed with locals that we were in for a good meal. And we were not disappointed. I'm not sure when we will pass through Winslow again. But when/if we do, we will definitely visit The Brown Mug Cafe.
