This place has gone so downhill since the change in ownership. The new owner just doesn't understand the "brand". So many of us have been loyal customers for years, having fought to keep it open during Covid. They have pulled a "Southwest" and gotten rid of everything that we loved about the place. No one has a smile or friendly greeting as you enter, no more free drinks (something that costs you maybe 10 cents to offer and makes for a great user experience), and even the portions have gotten smaller. The previous owners, Mauricio and Wendy, were the heart and soul of the place and now there's nothing that stands out from other Mexican places anymore. read more

I came here with a friend around 12 PM on a Thursday. There were plenty of tables, but the place was surprisingly full. You order at the counter, and they bring the food out to you. Ours came out in about five minutes. They also give you complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were really good. Fresh, warm, and hard to stop eating. I ordered the lobster enchiladas. It comes with two enchiladas, rice, beans, and a special sauce on the side. I'm from the South so I'm quite familiar with Tex-Mex. Honestly, it was hard to taste the quality of the lobster because everything was so saturated in sauce. The dish was pretty heavy overall. Mine already came covered in sauce so I didn't even touch the extra on the side. Service was just okay. After they drop off your food, that's pretty much it. You refill your own drinks and grab more salsa if you need it. No one really checks in. Overall, it's quick, and it definitely hits the spot, but nothing stood out in a major way. maybe I should've went with tacos. I'm not totally sure what all the hype is about. read more

Both of their red salsas were flavorful. I decided to order their potato tacos, which is individually ordered. The lady at the counter said they were really big, so I ordered two. Potato tacos are my last meal on earth - my favorite food.. and everyone does them differently. Mi ranchito prepares them as soft tacos and the potatoes are chunks. The toppings were on point. Potato tacos are best with sour cream and lots of lettuce, but because they were soft tacos with chunky potatoes, it made it hard to eat. They fell apart. To be clear, the woman who answered the phone was very kind and helpful. This review is strictly about the food. The fish was a total scam. There was barely any fish at all. It was chopped up into tiny pieces, almost like salsa, and extremely poorly prepared. We paid $55 and did not actually receive fish in our entrees. We specifically requested no pineapple, yet pineapple was included anyway. I also asked if the tostada was a shell like a taco bowl and was told yes, but it was not. It was a tiny, stale fried tortilla that tasted like it was cooked in very old, unpleasant oil. The beans were completely unseasoned and bland. After only a few bites, our stomachs started hurting, which was very concerning. Overall, this food was inedible and not worth the money at all. I asked for something low in cholesterol, and they recommended the Grilled Chicken Burrito and they removed the cheese for me and added beans and guacamole. Wow! Tasted great. The owner told me he goes through 30 pounds of lobster a day & I believe it lol. The ambience is good & cozy. The staff & lobster taco are the highlight. If you go I suggest getting something sea food as that's what they specialize in, the carne asada meat was okay but the seafood is what they're known for & for good reason! The guy who owns the place is very friendly and he gets along really well with my friends when we stop by, and he's made some good suggestions for us when we had trouble picking something. Delicious food and warm friendly service - this place is a gem. My coworkers have been telling me about their "best Mexican seafood" spot for months and so was excited to finally make my way over here to give it a try. After much hmmming and hawing over the extensive and delicious looking menu, I landed on one of their house specials: The seafood burrito. What a treat! It was huge and loaded with fresh shrimp, crab, scallops, bacon (!!), veg, and cream sauce. Pure seafood goodness without a single grain of filler rice (if you've eaten seafood burritos at chains, you'll know what I'm talking about - quit that and come here instead!). Despite its massive size, I was somehow, through sheer willpower and unwillingness to waste any deliciousness, polished off all but a few scraps of tortilla. The owner also treated our group to a basket of bunuelos (I told you, amazing service) which were so delicious i somehow made room. Light and crispy with a drizzle of caramel and whipped cream. This place is a special treat (read: not on my diet) so it will take me awhile to work through the rest of their beautiful menu, but I'm looking forward to trying their lobster burrito and their fish and scallop tacos. read more

I came here as part of my Taco Tuesday tour. This may just be my new favorite taco shop because of the very unique and delicious salmon tacos. These are FULL-SIZED tacos (something to keep in mind when comparing to other Taco Tuesday deals). I neglected to take a picture of the updated Taco Tuesday menu, but I believe two grilled fish tacos were $9 with two regular fish tacos bring slightly cheaper. - Salmon tacos 5/5: The salmon was cooked to tender fatty perfection. The quantity of salmon was generous. I had never heard of using salmon on tacos, but this is officially my new favorite taco filling. - Red snapper tacos 5/5: An excellent quality grilled white fish taco. I much prefer the salmon one, but this was delicious as well. -(Fried) fish tacos 5/5: Crispy tempura batter with tender moist fish. I could taste the crunch even underneath all the cabbage and sauce Free chips and salsa. Salsa bar has 4 types of salsa, all of which were too spicy for me. Overall, an amazing Taco Tuesday deal.
