The fresh red pepper offered at the table really kicked the flavor up a notch. Beet salad (8/10)- nice presentation. Red beets tasted really fresh & clean (not earthy) and the beets were thick enough to actually taste them! Balsamic dressing is very tasty. The fried cheese, tomatoes & candied pecans are a great complement to the beets and greens. Add the fresh cracked black pepper offered by the server. Seafood lasagna (8/10) - the seafood is not lacking! Its very seafood-forward. Salmon, shrimp, clams. You definitely know you are eating seafood. The cheese/seafood/pasta/sauce ratio is spot on, well balanced. It felt more like a seafood dish than a lasagna/pasta dish. My only complaint (and it's not really a negative) is I was in the mood for lasagna & after eating this dish, although it was very good, I still had a hankering for lasagna. Second happy hour for the week. I met up with a new group of women for this happy hour. On Wednesday's it's all day from 2-10. The place was decorated beautifully for the holiday. The food was delicious I got the calamari and duck tortellini. The tortellini my only suggestion would be to add one more to the happy hour portion lol. The calamari was good and crisp but some of the ladies thought it should have been cook longer. I got the Texas mule some ladies ordered sangria. My drink was ok pretty standard Moscow mule take. We had our group luncheons here couple days ago. Our group is big so i know the services will be a bit hard for the server. He did good with the help of a manager. Mia Bella's was an amazing experience from start to finish. It easily had some of the best service I've ever received. Emilio was incredible--very attentive to our needs and made sure we were 100% satisfied with everything throughout our meal. I've never experienced service quite like this before. Even as we were leaving, the staff opened the door for us and sent us off with a warm handshake, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was also a 10/10. The build-your-own pasta menu was fantastic and offered so many different options. The weekday happy hour until 6:30 p.m. is hard to beat, especially with $6 Aperol Spritzes and margaritas. The complimentary focaccia bread was delicious, and the olive oil, balsamic, and garlic dipping sauce was the perfect touch. We also ordered the fried calamari, and the sauce it came with was unlike any marinara I've ever had--in the best way possible. I have had Mia Bella Trattoria on my to-try list forever! I am really glad we finally had the chance to get it. The server was incredibly friendly and responsive, though he may not have been as familiar with vegetarian friendly options as I might have appreciated. I came with my partner and a family member so we were able to try a few different items. We were seated quickly, and the ambiance of the place was great. To my surprise, we were informed this was an Italian place with Moroccan influence which I did not know! I was even more excited. The beet salad was my favorite item (4/5), though a bit too much arugula, and could have had a little more beet, but the pistachio crusted goat cheese was a revelation. The brussels sprouts were good, though I cannot quite put my finger on what kept them from being truly excellent (3/5). The mushroom risotto croquettes were a close second place, but were quite rich so I am glad we had enough people to split it among (4/5). I love spice, and seeing the diablo rigatoni was vegetarian friendly, I got really excited! Unfortunately, this was not as good as I was hoping and was a bit plain/basic (3/5). I had many pizzas but never had wood fired pizza that tasted this good. I came to Mia Bella Trattoria because my friends from toastmasters wanted to socialize after the meeting a week ago. The location was perfect. I'm familiar with the parking lot. Because I frequent Tacos A Go Go next door. Service was decent as we arrived pretty late. We were well accommodated by the friendly staff. I wasn't too hungry as I was watching my friends ordering big pasta dishes. I got a Margherita pizza. The topping was a little greasy to me. But the crust was outstanding. Once upon a time I visited here for a lunch meeting. Last night we were out and about without the small human and decided to check it out. Suffice to say, we have this on our go back and keep trying the dishes list. Everything was excellent. Emilio, our server was great, the restaurant itself is open but cozy, and they dimmed the lighting as the sun went down and it was really nice. Our glasses stayed full, and the food was amazing. We got the mushroom pastry thing from the appetizers - perfection. The pastry itself was a knockout but the "sauce" was *chefs kiss*. It's something I already desperately want to recreate at home but know it won't get there, c'est la vie. Anyways, the specials sounded amazing but we settled for giving the regular menu a whirl. He had the seafood lasagna and I had the chicken piccata. Both were excellent. Their chicken piccata take is better than the standard version - highly recommend. Hubs said the lasagna was great too. The service could have been better, we were asked how the food was almost immediately after it came out before we even had a chance to try it, and after that, our server never came back to check on us. The food was fine (but you can skip the Pistachio Spumoni). The math was not. My entrée was listed at 29 on the menu when I ordered, but it showed up as 35 on the bill. When I questioned it, the waiter returned with a different menu that backed up the 35 price, not the version I'd actually been handed. He even acknowledged that some older menus might not have been replaced, yet still didn't think to review the entire bill, including my wife's order. I chose not to turn dinner into a seminar on basic billing controls. I paid, tipped, and left. Life is too short to audit a restaurant check like it's a corporate expense report. Here's my unsolicited advice to management: treat this as a case study for your staff. The menu and the prices on it are not a vague suggestion; they form the basis of an exchange that's effectively a contract between you and your guests. When there's a discrepancy, the right move is to assume responsibility, honor the price the guest was shown, proactively review the entire bill, and fix every affected item without being prompted. Anything less feels sloppy at best and deceptive at worst. For anyone considering a first visit: Confirm that the prices on the menu you're holding are the prices that will appear on your bill. We were seated for a while before drink orders were taken. No one ever brought water. Asked twice for bread which never was offered. Finally spoke with manager third time who brought it and said sorry they were waiting for it to bake in oven. It certainly was still doughy in the center. Caesar salad was good. OMG this restaurant is amazing. I've had it on my bucket list of places to go for years now and finally got to go in and try them for dinner. The restaurant is located inside of the shopping center with an attached parking garage directly behind it that offers free parking and easy access to the restaurants. Our server was great. He went over all of the specials for the evening, as well as gave us a little background on the restaurant and chef. I was thoroughly impressed by the balsamic and olive oil dip for the bread it was the best I've ever had impaired well with the focaccia bread. They actually put in onion, cilantro, garlic, and I believe salt and pepper from what I remember. For an appetizer, we ordered the calamari which was lightly fried so it wasn't as crispy as some restaurants, the marinara sauce had a little hint of cilantro in it so I wasn't the biggest fan of that. From my entrée, I had a seafood lasagna and it was to die for. I wasn't able to finish it during dinner, but I finished it later on that night and wish I had more. It was loaded with seafood and that sauce was impeccable i've never had anything like it. The other person in my party ordered the eggplant Parmesan, which is pictured no complaints from him. For dessert we just ordered the vanilla sorbet can never go wrong with that. The restaurant has plenty of seating and even has a private room available. This was the best croquettes I've ever had and the best bruschetta I've had since Naples, Italy.The only thing I would slight want better was the tiramisu. It was tasty but I like the cookie/bread to be a little more dense where this one melted in your mouth. We went early afternoon on a Sunday and it was nearly empty so I was nervous. The first time I went to Mia Bella was for a group dinner a few years ago and we had a blast! The servers asked if it was our first time there and then proceeded to explain the menu and took excellent care of us the rest of the night. For our friends who were in from out of town, and for us who live here, the night was a treat. The restaurant is pretty, that's the simple truth. Elegant and designed skillfully. Regarding the food, it was amazing! The pasta with its rich sauce, mushrooms and succulent lamb meatballs were all delicious and complemented each other perfectly. We were craving pasta and wanted to try a place we've never been to before. Mia Bella hasn't really been on our radar but the places we wanted to try weren't open at 2 pm on a Sunday so here we are thanks to yelp. Mia Bella is in a building that offer free garage parking which is nice. As you walk in you'll notice a bar with one tv that had a football game on. The decor is pretty modern and has a nice open kitchen. The dining room is a good size. They also have plenty of outside seating. Our server Alex greeted us as soon as as we sat down. He was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. We started off with the octopus which was good - it was grilled and served on top of a chickpea purée kinda like a hummus and had tomatoes and pickled red onions on top. For pasta I got the saffron pappardelle, and my wife got the squid ink tagliatelle. The pappardelle was good - pasta had good texture, lamb meatball was a tad bit gamey but not terrible, and overall had great flavor and umami from the saffron and shiitake mushrooms. The squid ink tagliatelle had a lot of shrimp and squid and the tagliatelle itself had good flavor and texture. Overall pretty good food. Pricing is on the higher end, but I'm not terribly upset at it since the food was good and seemed like they used fresh ingredients. Overall my wife and I enjoyed our early dinner here. We dined with our infant and they're pretty baby friendly in the dining room, but I unfortunately did not see a changing station in the bathroom. This place would be a good date night/birthday with a big group spot. That being said, we will definitely be back and y'all should check them out. read more

We booked our reception dinner for our courthouse wedding and everything was immaculate. Our server, Willie was absolutely amazing and made it even more special. On top of that, the food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the squid in pasta and my husband ordered the scallop risotto, which was immaculate. I ordered the calamari to go & when I got home & took the dish out & it was 1/3 maybe even 1/4 of what I've always gotten. This container has always been full, even packed but now almost nothing. Absolutely unacceptable. Is this the new norm? Just providing almost no food & charging more. An absolute waste of $17+. Mia Bella is on my top list of favorite Italian restaurants in Houston. Every-time I visit the service is always excellent! Although everything on the menu sounds delicious, my go to items are the Steamed Mussels and Squid Ink Tagliatelle. The food arrives at your table fresh and hot. My friends have recommended the seafood lasagna and another special dish that includes lobster, mussels, scallops. I'm not too sure what the name is but it is not on their regular menus. 10/10 recommend checking out Mia Bella! TheHH menu is top tier as well and on Wednesdays HH ends at closing time. read more

I love the layout of the restaurant and the open kitchen concept. The interior is beautiful with plenty of tables and chairs for big groups. There is a small and pretty outdoor seating too. I got their special lunch menu (it is like a business lunch menu) which comes with a house salad or soup (lentil or tomato), a seafood pasta, and a slice of cake. The tomato soup was slightly creamy and tasted good. The seafood pasta was filled with fresh ingredients and it was mild spicy, which was perfect for me. The dish presentation was ten out of ten. However, the warm linguine under the delicious seafood clumped together like a ball. Instead of eating the linguine in long strands, I was breaking up the pasta and consuming it in 1inch strands. As for the dessert, it had the right sweetness and the serving size was perfect after a big entree. My server was amazing. He was friendly and serviced with a smile. WE LOVE MIA BELLA!!! the food is always fantastic and the servers are super nice. i also love the relaxed yet trendy ambiance. it's a nice place, but you can still feel comfortable wearing casual clothes. we started with the brussels sprouts and the grilled artichokes. the brussels sprouts ($14) are one of our favorites. they're so delicious and the balsamic glaze is amazing. the grilled artichokes were yummy but i feel like it wasn't worth $18. we got four pieces of artichoke hearts that came with some salsa, arugula, and parmesan shavings. the seafood lasagna ($26) is AMAZING but very rich. i would recommend getting a side salad with it and saving half for leftovers the next day hehe. i've never seen a restaurant do a seafood lasagna before, but mia bella did a great job with it. i got the lamb osso buco ($29). the meat was so soft and flavorful, and i loved the garlic leek mashed potatoes underneath. the lamb juices soak into the mashed potatoes and omg it's so good. the grilled vegetables on the side were pretty good too. obviously mia bella has some pricier entrees as well, but i feel like the pricing here is overall very good for what you get. read more

The only complaint I had this particular time was the food took long to arrive. They were very busy and may not have anticipated a Thursday night being that busy. There were lots of groups in there as well. The have a variety of items on the menu. Although I am not a vegetarian they had lots of options. Our waitress was a very nice Colombian woman. Wow! So glad I finally tried Mia Bella! My experience was fantastic! I love the colors of the restaurant and the tables are spaced out nicely! The room is bright and inviting! I had the gnocchi. It was the best gnocchi I have ever had. I also had a frozen Bellini which was fantastic. I love the number of vegetarian and gluten free options on the menu. I am eager to go back and try the build your own pasta risotto options. Even though I am GF I did taste the bread that was brought to our table. OMG talk about delicious!
