I was bummed to arrive here at a time that (according to Google) should've been fine to grab lunch but after taking a 30 minute Uber ride here, the kitchen was closed. That being said, I was starving so I decided to grab a pastry to eat as I walked around to find another lunch spot. The lady working there said that the strawberry croissant was "magnificent" so of course that's the choice I made. Cute little corner breakfast shop, but that's it. The food was not that great. Let's start with the mocha which was cold. I hate cold coffee. The service was super slow. The ladies were nice, but that doesn't take away the fact I have been waiting more than expected for the food. I ordered some of the empanadas that they had on display and it was actually the best thing we ate. After that we had to wait a long time for our pancakes and breakfast burrito. Found this spot on IG before visiting the city. My brothers raves about it so I had to come. Let me just say the presentation for the meal was very appealing. It differently draws you in. Popped into this cafe on the way to the the Frost Science and Perez Art Museum. A solid stop for a breakfast brunch option. Located in the corner, the high windows offer a great spot to dine casually with natural lighting and a touch of style. Overall the food was okay. The options are what you would expect to find in a brunch spot. Personally the omelette lacked a bit in salt and the Benedict could opt with more seasoning. The star of the show were the pancakes. The locations is smaller than I thought. When we walked in you have to order first then have a seat. The food was OK. I ordered 2 Eggs Your Way, which came with toast, butter, homestyle, potatoes. The potatoes are a bit too salty. The eggs were scrambled, but a little runny and the toast were toast my friend ordered bacon, egg, cheese croissant. It was supposed to come with a side salad but didn't, but she did get a potato chips with it she did like the croissant without the bacon was too salty, I also ordered a iced chai tea latte with vanilla however, it did not taste much of chai or vanilla just diluted milk. The Oreo pancakes were interesting. They were good, and not as sweet as it looked, it had a tart aftertaste. Line moved fairly fast they gave you a number after you order and you can sit down anywhere. Great atmosphere big glass windows so a lot of light coming in. Food was ok wouldn't say it was spectacular the pancakes look way better than they taste. Steak and eggs was a 6.8/10 chimmichuri brought it up to a 7.5. Downtown location accessible with the train and metro mover. Located across from the frost museum. Walked in a saw a sign that said "go to counter to place order." Ordered our food with the hostess asked about water but she did not recommend it because it's from the sink. That's why I gave it four stars, not saying the water should've been free but there should be an adorable water option instead she point to water in a small blue glass bottle which I know probably was pricey. The banana chocolate muffin was really tasty. They brought it out to me warmed just wish it had nuts in it lol. I was there for about 25 mins and the food came out fast, well the omelettes did. Everything was piping hot which I loved. Potato's needed a little salt but everything was great. Now to the start of the show..... pancakes. The pancakes were huge lol. The guava and cheese was sweet enough to were u didn't need to add syrup on the pancakes. The pancakes it self could use a little bit of sugar too just sweeten them up a little. My partner and I were excited to hear about the grand opening of a Miam Cafe in downtown. I'm always happy to hear of a new breakfast spot.. especially if it's walking distance from our home. Walking in we had an idea of what we wanted. We were welcomed by a server who instructed us to order up front and then find a seat. Everything on the menu ranges from affordable to a little pricy. You have the option of breakfast items, and an assortment of pastries and beverages. I had the breakfast burrito which was delicious. We also ordered the guava and cheese pancakes to share. And yes, they taste as fluffy as they look! The ambiance was nice and well kept but the music they had playing was a little too loud for my taste. Though the staff was nice and helpful, we didn't really see much of our server after the food was brought to us. I was fortunate to for their grand opening at the new biscayne location in downtown. Love the design and interior and it is conveniently located next to the 11th street station. The food is ordered at the counter to the left when you enter and there is a refrigerator of beverages that you can grab before you get your table number placard. The kubana sandwich was very flavorful and the pancakes were absolutely soft and cheesy and guava-ey as described! You could tell their top chef was working that day as I couldn't find any con about the food. The service I feel was not as peppy nor a welcoming that screams "grand opening" but the food certainly makes up for it. They currently have mostly breakfast and lunch items and I look forward to the day they add the lomo saltado bowl and other items from the other locations. The breakfast burrito was not seasoned very well. My friend got an avocado toast which was extremely salty, but the eggs were not salted at all. The smoothie also tasted very flavorless. The table we wanted to sit at wasn't cleaned. I think overall it could be a cute brunch spot, but would probably try somewhere else next time. I went to this café 2 years ago and it was great. The place was booming and the food was delicious. Today, my brother and I went and the service was extremely poor. i ordered the Miam burrito which had 0 flavour and he had the Dubai pancakes which were dry. Even the persons on the table behind us left their entire stack of pancakes, so I knew it wasn't good for them either. On top of all this, my brother ordered me a drink, and the waitress was not paying attention to him. He repeated the order 3x, and they still brought the wrong drink. When I asked the waiter if that is the Iced Lavendar Latte, he said yes confidently... only to realize another table ordered same and hers was purple, which made sense. Mine was a plain latte. After this, we told another staff member, and he stated the waitress advised this is what we ordered, but in reality, she did not listen while my brother was placing the order. In addition, another group of girls came, and when they were not being served, they left. I don't know if Miam is under new management, but for brunch on a Saturday, it was empty, and I can now see why. I am NEVER dining there again, and I do not suggest anyone else goes until they get their act together. read more

The avocado toast with egg was fine, but nothing special. Not cut in half, and egg was only on one side and onions/radish on other. Very basic for the price. Avocado was plain and not specialized in any way. If you can't walk here, then parking is a pain. There's a paid lot across on NE 2 Ave and 11th St but cheapest option is $15 for 2 hours.
