Great place for games. Security is pretty efficient. I just wish they would make it more clear what line you need to go through to have your bad looked at. A ton of people go through that lane that don't have bags & it slows down the process. Facility is clean & staff is friendly. It is little confusing how to get around & at the end of the night they close certain exits which include the escalators which makes it difficult for those with mobility issues especially when they are limited on elevators. The arena went all cashless so only electronic payments are accepted. Their non-alcoholic drink selection is very limited & it's pretty much 2 types of soda & water. It would be nice if there is more variety especially at the basketball games when there are a ton of young kids. read more

Experienced my first Miami Heat game here at the American Airlines Arena and it was a lot of fun! I don't go to many basketball games so I don't know what to compare it to but I will say that the customer service provided was great! I love how well organized they were for this particular game against the New York Knicks! Purchasing tickets for events held a big arenas like this one has become so easy and makes the process for checking in so much smoother. Quick scan on your phone and you are IN! Well not quite, you still need to go through a security check and as long as you aren't bringing in anything you aren't supposed to be then that process will also go smoothly for you. AmericanAirlines Arena like many other arena's offers concession stands as well as places to purchase merchandise for the event. I personally don't believe in paying those crazy prices for basic snacks like chips, popcorn, pizza, beer etc... Because they generally taste nothing like the price that you have paid for them. The merchandise is sky rocket in prices as well but when you are a die hard fan I guess cost doesn't matter. The game was a complete blow-out and the Miami Heat pretty much crushed NY so the energy in this place was insane and I appreciated how much support the Heat received! You can't help to be in a cheerful and spirited mood while attending games like this one! I had an amazing time and can't wait to see what events are available on my next trip down to Miami! My main point of concern which made my entire experience unpleasant was that I was stopped by gatekeeper due to having a small bag. Even though the contents of my bag were visible (the bag is clear), the man said I could not enter. He gave no solutions to the problem until I asked if there were lockers to rent. After I asked that question, he said yes and did not direct me to where the lockers were. I had to ask several other employees to find out where the lockers were situated. After I located the lockers, I begrudgingly rented one for my small and clear bag. I then entered the arena and immediately noticed several other event attendees with larger purses and bags. These individuals should have had to rent a locker. In addition, there was heavy usage of vapes and marijuana by attendees inside the seating areas. read more

I am a fan of basketball since this season. When I went to see Lakers game at Staples Center at the beginning of this season, I became a fan. I was so happy to learn that the Heat was playing on the day I was in town and purchased a ticket as soon as I confirmed my trip last year. Ticket price on Stabhub was reasonable. I came to this Arena by free metromover. Monorail operated by the Miami-Dade county, it was only a few mins walk from the station. Monorail wasn't too crowded after the game. I felt pretty safe there walking and riding monorail late at night. The main shop is located on the ground floor, they were running special for some t-shirts and hats. Price for other goods are comparable. Staff there was friendly. As you walk out from the side exit after cashier, look to your left for a huge picture of #21 Mr Whiteside. A kind security guard told me about it and suggested I take pictures there, so I did. This was only my third NBA game I've ever attended but I noticed more uniformed police presence on the floor than other places I went. They actually looked relaxed by the 4th quarter and some of them were actually smiling. I guess great game makes everyone smile including security. Although I didn't eat or drink but I walked around to check out on restaurants. Bacardi Rum was everywhere, saw some Cuban food. Nice to see area special food and drinks. I absolutely love the American Airlines Arena. I have been here already for three concerts And the experience never falls short from perfect. The venue itself is located right next to Bayside marketplace and has a beautiful view of the bay. There are several places to dine and drink, a little bit pricey for the quality, but expected for a stadium. You can choose to park at the stadium, At Bayside, or at nearby parking lots. Make sure to have your tickets on hand as they will ask you for them about 2 to 3 times prior to entering the venue. There are restrictions on the items that you were allowed to bring in so make sure you check the website before hand. I usually go to Bayside and have some food and drinks prior to coming to any event (much cheaper, tastier, and you get to walk around and shop if you'd like). Perfect for seeing the Heat play basketball. The screens and graphics had all the right information on them. It felt modern and was very clean. Staff were friendly and helped us well in showing where our seats were. Restrooms were huge and clean. The Heat store was the only issue, too narrow and when full of customers you can't move. The miami Heat never disappoint. I've been coming to the arena for years and it excels in providing excellent entertainment. Beside supporting the home team, this time around We came to bring some family member who were visiting us. Since it's a Monday game finding parking in the city wasn't that difficult. It was also affordable which wasn't the case when Lebron James and the Big Three were with the team. Additionally traffic wasn't an issue either. Entrance to the stadium was painless. There's additional security set up around the perimeter of the stadium as well as the regular security measures we are used to. For the size of the crowd everything moved rather quick. The stadium's set up is impecable as usual American Airlines Arena has been well preserved over the years. Today the Heat were playing against the Minnesota Timberwolves aka The Ex-Bulls and the young team held their ground. Overall the experience was amazing, specially for my nephew who's a sports nut! read more

1/28/2020 - First thing First. Celtics played the Miami Heat and We Won!! GO CELTICS!! The American Airlines Area is very nice. We were met though by a freight train. Right in the middle of Downtown Miami, there's a track that carry's cargo. What in the World! Who thought of this? That train took forever to pass. It kept going and going. When that grate lifted, it was hundreds in a mad dash to the stadium. The Arena was clean, inviting and during halftime, there's an area with a band to listen to some tunes while looking at a beautiful sky line. Good Job to the designers read more

I had floor seats for a concert here and the audio just downright sucked. In fairness, this was my first and only concert in AA Arena so maybe that hiccup is the fault of the performers and not so much the arena. One saving grace is the food options. There are a lot, if your willing to break your wallet of course. My Miller Lite was $13. I think it was 20 oz. Aside from that the place is pretty well organized but the bathrooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. read more

Amazing views! My husband and I went to the Miami Heat's game in March 2021. They had strict Covid-19 related measures in place: health questionnaires, COVID trained detection dogs, social distancing rules, seating far apart etc. The main disappointment was that you can't consume any food or drinks at your seats however you can get food/drinks at the plaza inside and outdoors. The patio plaza is amazing! It is huge, different vendors, many seating options and the view! Overall we enjoyed the game and the experience. A tip - do not try going to the plaza during the half time. It gets super packed with longest lines. read more

This is a great arena to see pretty much anything in. I've seen the Heat play here (GO HEAT) I've seen concerts here from Beyoncé, Janet Jackson to Shania Twain and everyone one was great. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. The drink prices are truly ridiculous, but that's pretty much standard for any arena. The arena is clean and I've always had really pleasant interactions with their staff. Because it's downtown, traffic can be quite the nightmare so I tend to park super far away and just walk to and from the events. The arena holds almost 20,000 people when filled to capacity so don't be in a rush on your way out because it's going to take some time to leave. My advice: 1. Park far away and walk/take the metro mover. 2. Get tipsy beforehand. 3. Have a snack beforehand. 4. Leave before the buzzer sounds or before the concert ends to beat the rush of people. read more

Not sure if we had perfect timing or if the employees had everything organized well. The lines moved quickly, the restrooms were clean and the team members were friendly. Went to see Adele tonight. What a lovely concert! She interacted with the audience, walked to two different stages for two different views and sang her pretty little heart out! The audience say the majority of the time which allowed for a great view and was able to hear and see the compete stage. She had a water effect in her show, as well as showed some of her childhood photos during a song. A+ Show! Will try to show a glimpse of her singing. read more

Have come to this arena for many concerts and games. This arena is huge. Located in the heart if Brickell it is massive and can be seen easily when you're approaching the area. Public transportation (metro rail) actually drops you off in the vicinity. However if you walk the area at night it doesn't feel very safe. There are unfortunately many homeless in the area so you can bump into a few characters at night. Arena parking is always pricey depending on where you park. If you are on of the lucky few you can find street parking. Good luck. Ticketing for the arena, checking bags and tickets has always been organized when entering the arena. Usually there is the outside metal detector set up alone with a person scanning you with a wand. The seating in the arena is pretty good whenever you sit. The staff that works there is vigilant on where you sit so no skipping seats! Worse thing are the vending prices. Omg. You can easily spend $100 on food and drinks. Prepare yourself to bring money or eat before you come. Even if you get a snack it's pricey. All in all good arena but with the same issues most arenas have. Enjoy the show! read more

Last month I made a trip over to Miami for a concert at the AmericanAirlines Arena. We arrived about an hour early in anticipation of horrible traffic but there was none to be found. We found some reasonable parking for $10 a few blocks away. You could feel the love for the Miami heat as soon as you walked into the arena. The ticketing and check process was a breeze with little wait. Everything was clean and the concourse felt more spacious than other arenas i've visited. I really enjoyed the wide open balcony are on the upper floors. It had a great view of the city- making it an irresistible background for selfies. Overall I was impressed with the arena and look forward to coming back to another concert soon. read more

AAA has been the host to all the concerts I've pretty much ever been to in my whole life. Can't lie that almost every single time I visit it's chaotic. Parking alone costs an arm and a leg no matter if you decide to use the parking garage or street parking so don't even stress. Just find what you can and if you're even smarter (just use Uber). When you finally get to AAA, the security doesn't move slow but for some reason there is never any structure to who goes where and then everyone finds themselves playing follow the leader. After finally making way through the chaos near the entrance, now it's a game of "find an usher to help direct you" as much as you read the signs you need to keep a grip on your stub that states which row and seats because to my amazement for the drake concert my seats were just foldable plastic chairs that were placed near the glass that you are typically told you can't stand near during live time. After running around our section because I couldn't find the random seat placements I decided it was time for drinks. Yes I understand it's an event but what the **** Miami. I should never spend $15 on beer unless it's made of gold and even then I'd rethink it. Thankfully the performance was great and I was smart enough to leave five minutes before it ended because I could not handle the people traffic nor the cars all in a rush to hit i95. read more

It's the home of the Miami Heat, that's pretty much all you have to say. I've never had an issue here. The staff is friendly, the venue is comfortable and the sound system rocks. I will say that the food is overpriced and nothing really special about it but what do you expect. If you have a suite that's a different story, the food is amazing. Parking is and always has been an issue, I would avoid parking at Bayside or you're gonna take forever to leave I would suggest 2nd or 3rd street. read more

Great and fun arena!!!! I usually go to see the HEAT GAMES and every time I go I always have fun there. The arena is clean and they are very organized. They have lots of police officers l and security all around the place, inside and out. If there's a small fight, police is there to remove the "inadaptados" hahah usually the ones with an extra beer On them haha Great sound when it comes to music and big led displays.m to watch details about the game. Bathrooms are located almost at every section on every floor ( very convenient when you are drinking beers lol) Cordials employees and they always cheer when the team is winning YEAH!!! Been here a couple of times for different concerts but on this specific visit it was Jay Z and the 4:44 tour! There were so many people but staff got us checked in and guided us to our seats sufficiently. Drinks and eats are more on the expensive side but worth it once you catch a cool vibe. We were more in the nosebleeds but with my eyes I could actually see perfectly and I didn't feel so claustrophobic. And who complains about free tickets (thx to my bestie Beatriz L) anyway. Have to give a shout out to the employee who saw me standing by the bar and gave me and the bestie floor seats. We were on the floor straight looking at Jay Z in the face off of row 6!!! When it was over Jay got off the stage and actually walked through the crowd to leave! What a humble gentleman and he said some real sh#t before some songs and even did a special performance for Chester Bennington of Linkin Park (May he RIP).What a great experience and grand performance!! read more

Came here for Kevin Hart's show. I've been to the arena plenty of times. I even worked as a event staff for time period. Typical arena experience. Overpriced concession, waiting forever to exit the building and the garage. Bathrooms were clean. I think that's most important. I was excited to see that they had some new concession stand options. I loved it, I loved the Coldplay concert... I loved the grandiose building... But then there was a huge puddle on the floor (leaking ice machine, the concession stand employees didnt think of mopping or putting a danger sign) which I slipped and fell on. Results - fracture elbow, dislocated hip, bruises that makes me look like a random peice of modern art and a whole lot of drama. What makes it worse, none of the Levy's Management staff would address me while I was being treated by the medics.... Go, enjoy the show - but beware the employees of Levy's will not approach you in case of an emergency, they will avoid you and not give you their info, and you will be left on your own...and WATCH WHERE YOU WALK!!! read more

Well we came here for the Shawn Mendes concert! They were organized and that was really great. We were able to buy he kids hoodies ahead of time though honestly I almost fainted because it was a heat index of 105 and there was no shade! They said the line would move in 15 minutes but it actually was 45 minutes till they opened! Luckily I found some shade under one of the radio station tents and another little truck was giving away water. Once inside our tickets were scanned easily on the phone and our seats were easy to find. The lines for the ladies room weren't bad though the 2nd time later in the night the bathroom ran out of toilet paper and the attendant was so apologetic! She told us it was supposed to be refilled but it had t and she was sorry. We told her it wasn't her fault. We tried to get a Diet Coke but didn't know that the kiosks close early (it was 9:45 pm and his concert ended at 10:20 pm) so we waited till we got outside and went to CVS across the street for some water. I have to say for a large crowd it was orderly. They also had a separate line for ladies only to get "wanded" (the employee was female) and that moved quickly! I would come back! read more

Upon entry, I was quite enchanted by American Airlines Arena, where my partner and I attended a Lady Gaga concert. The wait for entrance wasn't too long, and the paperless ticketing is a cool, planet-friendly idea (although that hard ticket is such a fabulous old-school convert souvenir). The food offerings at American Airlines Arena, while expensive, were rather good. My partner and I were able to split a huge portion of chicken fried rice, which was super yummy. The line for merchandise was shockingly short--we waited five minutes for a t-shirt, in Charlotte it would have been at least twenty. Perhaps if we had not been seated on the fourth floor the review would end there with five stars; I just don't know. But since we were seated up on the fourth floor we had a totally crappy experience from dinner on. As we tried to get to our fourth floor seats, we kept coming to staircases that were "closed," as in an attendant was standing there with a retractable belt blocking the entrance. The attendant would invariably (and rudely) direct us to the next stairs, which would also be blocked. After three attempts, we explained our predicament to an American Airlines Arena employee, who directed us to an elevator. After waiting for the elevator for a moment, we entered only to have the elevator operator tell us that we had to get off since we were not disabled or with a disabled person. When I explained our situation he directed us to another stairway!!! And guess what....it was closed!!! Finally, I discovered a secret, back stairwell by which we could go upstairs. The fourth floor was organized quite strangely, and everyone had to travel down a long, empty corridor to get to our seats. We had already purchased our dinner and drinks, but took note of the refreshment stand. Enjoying the concert, and dancing strenuously, my boyfriend raced during a break to grab us some waters. When he got there, he was told that all refreshment stands on the fourth floor were now closed. The show had not even been going on for an hour. He told them he was just needing water, not alcohol. They said no. He offered to pay cash. They said no. He said this his girlfriend was really thirsty and dehydrated. They said no. They told him to go downstairs, but after the early fiasco he didn't know if he could get back up!! I was really REALLY peeved by this, because its dangerous as hell. In my opinion, water should be distributed freely at concerts, but I understand capitalism. But at the very least, it must be served! People are drinking or using other substances and it is IMPERATIVE that water be served. If you are going to a show at American Airlines Arena, you better be sure you aren't being seated on the fourth floor! I haven't been there for any other events, so I cannot report on the experience on other floors. But if you are about to purchase fourth floor tickets, DON'T. read more

This is a pretty nice arena. Compared to the ones around NYC like MSG or Nassau Coliseum, it's excellent! I've been here a few times and always find that no matter how crowded it is, lines for food and drink move fast; they have a big variety of items to eat and drink; plenty of stuff to entertain kids and the lines for the bathroom move fast (this is esp. important if you really have to go!) Plus, if the big flashing sign on the outside of the building is to be believed, the arena is LEED certified, so you gotta give love to a green arena...seems like there could be one word to describe a green arena. Greenrena? Agreena? Somebody work on that and get back to me. Anyway, this is a nice setup. Too bad the Heat will never win it all. read more

I have been here many times and this past Saturday I went to the American Arena to watch Cirque Du Soleil: OVO. A spectacular show once again from this extraordinary company. The American Arena was a perfect location for this show. The sound and lighting was on point. Once we entered to the Arena we passed through the security check point. They do not allow big bags but mine was small so we were fine. I found easily our seats and the staff working there helped me efficiently to do so. The seats were not that comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and spacious. In every floor they have concession stands with a variety of food and merchandise. On the day I went, the indoor parking fee was $25 but I didn't park there, I went across the street ( two blocks away ) and paid $10 He estado aquí muchas veces y este sábado pasado fui al AAA para ver el Cirque Du Soleil: OVO. I've been to AAA so many times for several concerts. I went last night to see Drake and he was so amazing that I literally I left speechless because I was singing so hard! This arena does have on sight parking for $25 or valet parking for $40 but I do recommend using Uber instead of driving. My group ended up driving but we regretted it so bad and wished we would have used Uber in the first place. The traffic gets so crazy whenever there is a show in this arena and then it takes so long just to get into the parking garage and find parking. Whereas, if you had taken an Uber you could just get dropped off in the front. Not to mention the 30 mins-1 hour you will wait trying to get out of the parking garage after the show is finished. Just like any other arena the food and drinks are incredibly overpriced! $6 for a small portion of fries, $10 two soft tacos (chicken), $10 nachos, $5 water bottles, $18 for a margarita,etc. That is obscured pricing for all of those items so I do recommend eating before hand since no drinks or beverages are allowed in. Besides those few things, I love the arena it is very nice and big. The bathrooms are very clean as well and the security is helpful in assisting you to find your seats. There are metal detectors and your purses will be checked so keep that in mind as well. My only tips would be to arrive early, Uber, and grab a bite before arriving! read more
