I don't consider greasy, cold, and overpriced pizza to be the best. Have fun waiting an hour for one pizza, since that's all you can afford. This is also right next to UM but they don't care and price out the college students. Unless you are 40 and chasing memories, this is by far one of the worst pizza joints in South Florida. If your going to have an open kitchen where the chefs are behind glass and everyone can see the food being prepared, you should be really sanitary, clean, spotless. Wearing gloves is eyewash when you're not taking them off and changing them when you go from food prep to using the cash register and handling money, making boxes, etc. Not sanitary at all. Gross. Sorry, but that's what i saw. No hair nets, beards over food prep. Better to not have an open kitchen. A national chain pizza place right next door... Stopped in for lunch. They have great lunch specials. You can get a slice with a topping and a drink for $9. You can add an order of garlic rolls for about $3 more. The crust is very crispy. Ok seriously, there is a reason why this is called Miami's Best Pizza, because it is in fact, Miami's best pizza. From the flavor of the sauce is incredible, to the crisp pepperonis, to the perfectly oven fired crust, what's not to love about this pizza? Take out or dine in their no frills sports themed restaurant which is bound to be playing a UM game. Staff is super friendly and you can even watch them toss the pizzas from the glass window. When we were kids, I remember going there and tapping on the glass in hopes they would throw some cheese on the window, which would make us laugh!!! THEY ARE TAXING AN AUTOMATIC GRATUITY BAKED INTO THE PRICE. First and foremost, I do want to say that I have been coming to Miami's Best for a solid 20 years, even when it was in its old location. I've enjoyed the food even more in the current location than the old one. That out of the way, this needs to be said: I visited recently to get the Slice Special with 1 topping, fountain drink, and garlic roll. That special is listed at the register as $9 all together. Then I added ONE topping that was listed at the register as ONE dollar. That should bring the total to $10 before tax. 8% sales tax on a $10 order is 80¢, correct? So you would think that the total with tax would be $10.80, right? Wrong. According to Miami's Best computer system, that total is $12.96. So, after going back and forth with them for about three minutes on the very basic math, they weee kind enough to charge me a lower price, which I accepted and left a tip. But after thinking about it, I realized that what happened was that Miami's Best has a 20% GRATUITY baked into the bill before the subtotal, meaning they are automatically charging us a tax INCLUDING the gratuity. But they are charging a 20% gratuity for just bringing you your food. You have to place your own order at the register, get your own refills and condiments, get your own utensils and bus your own table (generally). They only bring what you ordered to the table. Furthermore, there are times when they will just call your name and not even serve you beyond the point of purchase. When ordering make sure you do your math and be aware that the tip is being included at the point of sale. I enjoyed my pizza slice but not the experience beforehand. read more

At this point its not about the stars....its about this specific location being dangerous. Last weekend, Sat. May 10 2025 was my husband's graduation from U.M. Law. My inlaws joined us that friday night before graduation and we ordered half meat lovers and half chese 14". Long story short- my kid had the cheese slice and was fine thank god, but the rest of us got violently sick, and my 76 yearold father in law spent 2 days at ER with my mother in law and they both missed graduation. We barely made it to the ceremony but are to this day are getting over the food poisoning ( today is may13th) . Weekend and graduation ruined, trip and memories destroyed. As the name says it is one of Miami's best pizza. It's also very well located next to university of Miami. Came here to pick up some pizza for my kids that requested it. I ordered a spinach pizza to try, regular cheese, and the garlic pizza. When I went to make the pick up like I was told I had to pay at the other register first so I did just that. It's a bit confusing since one place says order here and the other says pick up with a register. I'm assuming that when it's busy they do use both? I waited patiently and finally was attended to by the cashier. Super nice and polite. I was able to get an order of free garlic rolls so that was awesome. When I got home I was able to try the pizzas. They were all very good. The breading is good which makes for a good pizza. The garlic pizza seemed dry and when I read the description I saw it was supposed to come with red sauce which it didn't. All in all the pizza is good. The establishment service is ok. I haven't been here since it moved from across the way. When we walked in, it smelled like someone had left a pizza in the oven too long, though the smoke had dissipated. We were coming from a UM function and this was super convenient. We weren't that hungry so just split a sub, and it was a good size to finish filling us up. The Italian had ham, capicola and salami. Oh, and provolone. I like my cheese melty, so it could've used minute in the oven, but it was tempting enough to not want to wait any longer for that. The reason I do not recommend this pizza place is because the prices are too high. Plus they charge a fee for paying with credit card. Somewhat hidden away in Coral Gables by University of Miami is Miami's Best Pizza. It take some balls to proclaim yourself that but it wouldn't be a UM pizza spot without the swagger. Parking is mostly on the street. Unsure if there is additional parking in the back but inside the place is pretty spacious and very clean. Many UM sports photos and jerseys line the walls. We ended up ordering a 14" pizza with half Pineapple/Bacon and half cheese along with a half dozen garlic rolls and some fountain drinks. The garlic rolls came right out and were decent. They had a good amount of garlic and butter but the bread tasted a little bland. The pizza itself took a while to come out and it looked a tad over done. Crust was a bit thick but had a nice crunch to it. Kids liked it and we ate it all. But would I say it was Miami's Best, not quite. Is it one of the worst, not at all. I'd place Miami's Best somewhere in the top middle of the Miami pizza scene. Also in term of value we thought $20 bucks for a 14" pizza with 2 half toppings was kinda pricey but garlic rolls and soda were fairly priced. We also got to try their carrot cake for dessert and it was very fluffy and creamy. It was definitely a hit with the crew. I ordered the special, two cheese slices with a beverage. After waiting 25 minutes, the server dropped off my two slices, which were burnt super crusty, and extremely hot. After taking the first bite, I instantly regretted it. At the same time, a mentally ill, female, who had mucus dripping out of her nose and saliva hanging from her chin, entered the restaurant and talking to herself. I work nearby so occasionally go here for lunch. I've had good pizza (the lunch specials include a huge slice-of-the-day and a drink for about $8). Yesterday my co-worker and I ordered wings and garlic knots. We munched on the knots while we waited for our wings. Twenty minutes later we are informed there was a problem with the stove but the wings were coming. Fifteen minutes later the lady gave us back $20 of our $24 total (I guess minus the garlic knots) because of the snafu. Five minutes later we got our wings and had to take them to go (lunchtime was over). We had half the order with the special house sauce and half with the lemon pepper flavor. The wings with the (slightly spicy and sweet) house sauce were tasty, but the wings themselves were kinda rubbery. I think they needed to cook a little more. The wings with the lemon pepper flavoring were crispy (the way I like them). But mamamia I felt like I was eating salt-covered wings. Because that's all I could taste and it was practically inedible. If we hadn't gotten the $20 refund I would have brought them back. The wings themselves were large and meaty. How did we get here? This is an average pizza, it's not the "best" as they have self proclaimed for decades. Everyone on these comments can agree on that. I arrived and was told it wasn't ready so I waited. After waiting for a while I went to ask and was told the pizza was given to someone else by mistake. They had to make a new one. It's now 1050pm and I finally got the pizza. The order should have been free due to their mistake. I am on my way home and I get a call telling me that my order has been ready and they are closing I need to come and pick it up. I've been wanting to try this place for over a year and am very happy that I finally got around to it! I had to work Friday night and decided on the way in I'd pick up a few pies from this place so I called and placed my order. I actually liked doing this since I haven't ordered pizza this way in years. They told me it would be 40 minutes so I timed it correctly on the way to work. It's right next to the Titanic Brewery and restaurant where you can park on the street right in front. It was limited and I saw the small parking lot next door packed to the brim. I walked in and after paying was sent down to the other side of the restaurant to pick up the pies. I thought that was very cool how they have that payment process set up because you can see through a glass window the entire back of the house making pizzas from start to finish. I ordered a small personal sized mushroom and pepperoni along with a large Miami special which has all the toppings. I get mine well done with light cheese and the pictures are below. I was very impressed and this is now my favorite pizza place out of every single pizza place I've ever had in Florida! Yes it was that good..... I loved the sauce and crisp along with just everything. Phenomenal pizza for Miami! I should have tried it sooner and looking forward to ordering here again in the future.
