I had the carrot cake. It was AMAZING! moist cake, with the perfect amount of raisins and walnuts. The Frosting was light and fluffy. I also had the rainbow cookies, which were the best rainbow cookies i've ever had. I can't wait to go back. Oh mamma mia! This place is not for anyone who intends to go on a diet or wants to have a "lite" bite. Expect to indulge and live in the moment of being glutinous. If the endless display of decadent pastries doesn't give you an idea what you're up for, then you're in for a surprise. I must admit, the display was very overwhelming but in a good way. I had to immediately divert my eyes away from it so I could find myself a good spot to sit down and then enjoy what's to come. The bakery itself has quite ample seating. They even have outdoor seating in the back and everything is nicely spaced out. If you decide to sit, it's table service so expect to tip. My friend and I really just wanted something to drink but it was kind of hard to resist from ordering any of their desserts. So we decided to split a Nutella Croissant Donut (also known as a Cronut but it's trademarked so other places can't use that name) and the Nutella spread on top literally melted in my mouth followed by the sugar coated croissant layer. I LOVE MIA'S. I've lived in Astoria for years, where Greek bakeries like this abound. I moved to Brooklyn a few months before Mia's opened and mourned the loss of access to the bakeries. I've met the owner who is very friendly, asks for honest feedback and then acts on it - e.g. my request for more gluten free items as I have celiac disease. My only negative feedback is that recently the size of items seems to be shrinking e.g. the creme brulee is getting smaller and smaller! read more

They have a wide array of pastries and desserts, so much so it can be a little overwhelming. For me their cheesecake is the best thing they have. It's creamy and airy with a perfect ratio of crust. Waited over 15 minutes just for service. 4 worker behind the counter and only one young lady running the register and helping the customer. Their pastries are got but not good enough to leave to wait 15 minutes for service. Also the supervisor was not even in proper uniform had on a all black worn shirt while everyone's shirt has the store logo. Also her hat looked like it was sat on. When you wait for so long you have nothing but time to really observe your surrounding. Also the lighting is really dim so it makes you wonder how clean the place really is. I hate to use the race card but I wonder if I had been white if I would had gotten served sooner. This was my fourth time visiting this store and it is my last. read more
