Staff was very friendly and you can tell they really care. The store itself has a great vibe to it nice coffee bar, indoor and outdoor seating with a nice garden too, very peaceful. My family and I split several slices of cake while sitting on the patio cheesecake, strawberry shortcake, and carrot cake were all phenomenal. My daughter and I have been there twice and they were both outstanding experiences. The first time a week ago, we grabbed Cherry Pies for a dinner party and even though they were crazy busy, we were greeted and helped at the counter immediately. The pies lasted like 20 minutes and everyone commented on how good they were. Cherry cheesecake, apple pie, chocolate chocolate cake pop and some cookies from behind the register forgot the name of it. The staff was nice and the service was fast but this bakery is overrated. A and I really enjoyed our ham and cheese and turkey and Swiss croissants :) I love savory pastries and I'm so glad they have them here since I have gestational diabetes and shouldn't have sweets. My sister once brought home an amazing cookie from here, so I had high expectations for this place when I came this morning with two of my friends. We sat down in the garden, which had a nice ambience. The waitress brought water and menus within a few minutes and came back to take our order, which was simply a cronut, espresso frappe and an iced latte. It took thirty minutes for a pastry and two simple drinks to come out, and the waitress gave no apology or explanation for it. I'm a very patient person, but that's just atrocious. There were maybe two other dine-in customers in the entire cafe, it was not busy. My friend's frappe was literally just liquid, not a frappe, and the coffee in general is overpriced for average coffee. The cronut was great, but that's all I can give this place. If I ever come back (I probably won't) I'll stick to to-go orders. read more

Really wonderful service. I popped in to get a cake for a xmas party my friend was throwing around the corner. Amazing selection. Unfortunately they had ran of the strawberry shortbread cake which I'd heard is so delicious got the triple chocolate instead and was so happy with my choice. It was moist, rich but not too heavy. Cakes and pies are delicious! However, the customer service is terrible. I ordered my daughters cake online and left a note stating that I would like pink sprinkles all around. I ordered it about 3-4 days in advance. Upon arrival to pick up the cake, lady at the counter said that we still owed $5... my husband asked why, we paid for everything online. The lady said it's $5 for sprinkles, we were trying to find out why is it that no one informed us. Usually bakery's would call to let you know you need to pay extra for certain things, they never called. The lady kept saying "it's only $5, do you want it or not? We can give you without." The extra $5 wasn't a big deal, we were just trying to find out why no one notified us before we got there since the order was placed far in advance. They just kept saying you want it or not. I was in a bind and had to order pies for a office holiday party. I did some research online for some bakeries that sell pies and found that too many required 48 or more hours in advance AND charged 40.00 a pie which is crazy! I found Mia's website while browsing online and was able to order the pies on their website (less than 24 hours ahead of when I needed to pick them up) and wound up getting 2 for the price of what I would have been charged for one elsewhere. I swung by to pick them up and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Definitely worth it and I will definitely be patronizing Mia's again! read more

All their desserts are pretty fantastic. Shared among 6 of us a couple donuts, various cakes and pies and everything was very fresh and not too sweet. The atmosphere on a week night is especially great as it's sparse and not too crowded. I've been to Mia's three times now. The first time I had a chocolate peanut butter cupcake from their refrigerated case. The second time I ordered a variety of cookies. And the last time I had three slices of cake which I split with my friends: black forest, strawberry shortcake and carrot cake. The carrot cake was the favorite with chunks of carrots and nuts and sweet cream cheese frosting. The cakes definitely take the cake here, and you really can't go wrong with any flavor. I walked by this place after a long and hard shift at work only to be mesmerized by the beautiful pies and pastries displayed in the window. I don't know what sane human wouldn't have gotten the idea to grab a slice of pie from here and then go around the corner and pair it with a couple scoops of Van Leeuwen, because that was my exact intention. I went inside to look at the menu only to be unsurprised by the steep prices. My craving for apple crumb pie didn't care very much, though. I was helped by a woman behind the counter barely taller than the tallest part of the food cases haha. Once I grabbed my pie off of the counter, I noticed that a huge chunk of the tip was missing. Now I don't know about YOU, but if I'm paying $6 for a small slice of pie, I want the whole damn thing. Yes, you not dropping that extra piece that fell off inside of my container is a problem. Although she was friendly, I'm not a fan of that at all. Pie slices aren't advertised with a bite already taken out of it like apples often are. The pie was great, which made me want that missing piece so much more. Anywho, I would recommend this place (despite the prices) because I do think they make great quality pastries and everyone there (around midnight) was very friendly and welcoming. read more
