Nice year round Christmas store but the hours of 10 to 5 are ridiculous. They use to be on the boardwalk and they were open late and were always packed!! Only being open during prime beach hours at the beach is dumb. read more

wonderful selection. Terrible staff. I took my elderly mother in there and we spent over $100 and my mom tried to make some small talk with the staff and they blew her off and it broke her heart. She grew up in Ocean City and loved buying ornaments for all of her children and grandchildren, and the staff was absolutely horrible. read more

We made a WTH trip to OC in March on the first warm weekend of the year and honestly were surprised with how many other people had the same thought and how many boardwalk shops either stay open year round or opened due to the good weather. Personally I think that Christmas as a holiday can go suck it, so it was very, very begrudgingly that I allowed myself to be drug into the pleasure dome of Mia's by the lovely wife + the children who are all Griswaldian in their adoration of the fat man in a red suit and all things related. As other Yelpers have already said and as the pictures will tell you, this is 100% X-Mas year round from stem to stern once you walk in the door. Ornaments, nut crackers, lights, Yankee Candles, stuffed animals, figurines, cups, plates, bowls, Byer's Choice, linens and clothing along with the heaping helping of cheesy OC related merchandise had my head spinning in circles faster than Linda Blair after getting a bath in holy water. To add insult to injury the prices here even in the offseason when I truly can't imagine they get many customers are very high. Their idea of a sale is more of what you would expect to pay as an everyday price for something like a Yankee Candle. We spent entirely too long in the store and finally while the rest of the group loved what they saw even they had to say "No Mas" as they turned over price tag after price tag until mercifully we finally left empty handed. If you are one of those Christmas loving types with a big wallet then this place is for you. If not, then please join me in a loud and rousing: "Humbug"! read more

My husband and I visited this shop on the 16th of September 2016. They were experiencing trouble with their registers so we decided to leave and come back. I had seen an or ordiment that was perfect for my sister and my husband had picked out a figurine his mother collects. So on our way back we stopped to purchase the items. First the figurine for $17.12, according to the employee the credit card does not go through in the computer. So my husband checks his bank account and it shows as a pending transaction. He shows the employee she goes to the back and checks the computer and says it didn't go through it would drop off the pending transaction and not post on the account. He decided to leave without the item. So I was also interested in purchasing something another employee took me to another terminal were the same thing happened to me. The credit card went through and posted to my account but did not post on the stores system. I however paid cash and left with a gift for my sister. I do not believe it was worth paying $13.89 twice. These transaction never dropped off our accounts. I have place 6 phone calls, none irate. Left 3 messages, been asked to call back 3 times because the person who answered the phone with either to flustered, or could not be bothered. Had to file a complaint with the bank. read more

Holy. Crap. This store is bulging at the seams with Holidays goodies. I, for one, am not big into all these Christmas decorations or the inability to move around with all the people....not to mention I was on crutches. So between that, fighting with baby strollers and other people in wheel chairs my shopping experience was less than great. I literally walked in and walked out because it was too overwhelming. I know people DIE for stores like this but I am not one of them. I'm giving it a 3-star rating since it IS a good spot for all the holiday goodies any time of year and definitely won't let you down in that regard. I did enjoy the selection of Yankee Candles that were on sale out front as well as the Lenox selection in the back corner. Other than that...get me out of there! Luckily ladies, they have benches RIGHT outside the door for the husbands to sit while you shop. I actually sat there with them waiting for Mom! Give it a try, unless you a bahumbug curmudgeon like me...you might enjoy it! read more

I found the prices to be too high. Some things were very nice but I'd never pay the prices they asked for. I don't know how much they usually cost but I wanted to buy one of those figurines that are carved and have different actions such as reading, some are friendship, mothers, weddings, etc. and I wanted one for my friend's mom because she has always been a second mother to me but they were forty dollars for the small ones! Some things in the shop humored me from their appearance. The only reason I'd go back would be for a good laugh! read more

This is such a cute shop. I adore that it's open year round since I'm not a big fan of pushing through lines of shoobies. I now live in California but my heart is always in OC. Both of my dogs are named after the boardwalk and my newest Boxer/Lab rescue is Mia :) I can't wait to visit again soon! read more

Going to Mia's is a shore tradition, even if it's mid July and 100 degrees! As soon as you walk into Mia's, you can hear Christmas music playing. I was disappointed the most recent time I went when I didn't hear the Christmas music playing in the background. Mia's has a huge selection of Christmas stuff, including ornaments and lights, Christmas cards, jewelry, stuffed animals, figurines, etc. I'm a bit of a Scrooge when it comes to celebrating Christmas in July but for some reason, this store gets me excited for it! The reason why I am giving Mia's 4 stars, rather than 5, is due to the prices. The prices for even a small figurine is extremely high. All in all, I will be back again because it's tradition. read more

Just left the store and they failed to put an ornament in my bag that I paid for. When calling the manager to explain the staff error they refused a refund! BAD BUSINESS! For $5 they've just lost a 20 year customer! read more

I am very disappointed. While I certainly understand inflation as an economic principle, I believe the prices to be inflated beyond their consumer's financial base. As well the selection is paltry at best. In years past, there was a much wider selection of product. Sadly, this is my last time I'm Mia's. read more

We just returned from our trip to Ocean City, NJ. We go every year to make a special trip to Mia's Christmas Gallery. I've been going for the past 14 years. Every year I get a new ornament for our Christmas tree. I've heard the store is under new management with new owners. We went on Sunday morning and found 4 things to buy. When we went to the counter there was an older lady waiting on us. She was not the most friendliest person. When I asked for 2 small boxes for my ornaments she acted like she was annoyed to give us them. My husband was telling her how nice it must me be to work in this store and was trying to make small talk. She never even looked at my husband and continued wrapping my ornaments in one slice of tissue paper. Usually the ladies would wrap them in bubble wrap if they didn't have a box. When she was done, she put them in a bag and dropped them on the counter. I had to check the pumpkin that was wrapped in one piece of tissue to make sure she didn't break it. It is such a disappointed to have an unfriendly person at such a wonderful store. I don't think she should be in the front at the register. I have never had a problem in the past 14 years with the people at this store. They are always so kind and friendly. I wonder if it's the new management employee's. I think this women needs to take a class in customer service and manner's. DP read more

I'm very sad to have to give this store, which was once our favorites, a low rating...What a difference since changing owners a few years back. Every summer for many years while vacationing in Ocean City my family and I go there so I can buy everyone Christmas ornaments and collectibles. It was always so much fun and my daughters and their families have entire trees decorated from this tradition. This year was quite different...even though I still made a very large and expensive purchase the owner and help were as rude and unfriendly as can be! Totally different atmosphere! What was once so much fun, became a very disappointing rush to get out of the store. The checker was also very bad and had no idea what she was doing even though I was told she was not a new employee. It's such a beautiful place with gorgeous items, but just a bad experience in every way. I have now heard similar stories from several other people including another Christmas store.... .I sure hope they read these reviews and get their act together soon. read more
