I had a vision of what I wanted done as a tribute to my sons and from my initial inquiry through the finishing touches they helped me bring it to life. Communication was spectacular every step of the way - I shared an overview of what I was looking for through those first texts which paved the way for a terrific consultation where Jesse took the time to go over everything, let me know what he needed from me, and provided some great resources for picking out the right font, even providing helpful pointers for what to look for in different fonts so that it would continue to look great for years to come. On arrival day of Jesse already had a mockup ready to go and was more than accommodating with some minor changes I wanted done. I can't say the process was painless for obvious reasons but it was as smooth as one could ever hope for. The work was clean, the price was extremely fair, and I left with a piece I'm super happy with that has already received a bunch of compliments even though it's still in the healing phase. South Shore has my highest recommendation and has definitely won a repeat customer with me. Can't wait to do it again.

We went all over the island looking for help fixing it and everyone suggested laser removal with the promise of redoing it after the laser removed the tattoo. We went to Kings Avenue tattoo and words can't even describe how great this place is. It's upscale, clean, and professional. We met with a tall thin man with a shaved head (his name escapes me) and he immediately validated us and asked what he can do. My fiancee cried and he was extremely empathetic and sat with us for a long time talking about options. He was the only place who said he could do ANYTHING besides laser. We told him he could have complete artistic freedom as long as it didn't look so obviously botched. He told us to come back for an appointment and he would see what would be possible. No exaggeration, the artist worked complete magic. He actually took zero artistic freedom and somehow fixed it to how it was originally supposed to be. The tattoo is almost perfect and when we showed people afterwards they could not believe the difference. I am extremely detail oriented and I stared at the tattoo for a long time and it was literally perfect. If the original had come out like that, we would've been thrilled. If the owner reading this remembers this travesty we brought in and can remind me of the artists name, he and the original man we spoke to were saints. This is the only place we and our family would ever go for more tattoos, this place deserves to stay open forever. They chat you up a bit and then you meet your artist. In my case I had Chris Raft who was an expert in eastern and Japanese traditional tattoos. He draws up an example, prints it out and brings you back into the room. This place has separate rooms for each artist. Super clean and upscale looking. He laid down the stencil making sure it's positioned in the exact way wanted. He laid down the finest outline I ever had, filled it in with color that was flawless in every way. Talking the whole time making me feel comfortable. Super cool guy, when it's all done give you the opportunity to review it, take your photos for the gram, and gives you two different ways of protecting it. They have a second skin and the old school way of protecting your investment. The prices here are on the higher end but the services justified the price. You have to remember this is a permanent investment and you shouldn't go by price alone. I will be coming back here to get more work done with Chis in the very near future.

As opposed to using a separate needle for shading, he used the same needle as the line work. During the healing process, the tattoo scabbed over and when the scab fell off the tattoo was completely faded and scared over. I've never had this experience in my life and my whole left arm is tattooed. Would never ever recommend this shop to anyone nor will I ever return. First and last time. I spoke to Jess about what I wanted, and explained an issue I was having with a current piercing. Jess listened to all of concerns and about what I wanted for my new piercing. She didn't rush me and actually listened and gave me feedback. Then, in the chair I was. Before I knew it Jess took care of one of my piercings and then I had the new piercing I wanted. Jess had such a gentle touch and made sure I was comfortable. We even made some small talk during the short piercing process. i went in for a free consultation with envy today! the staff got back to me super fast about this…read moreappointment when i requested a booking on the website two days ago. they took the time to look at the tattoo i wanted, including the size, color, gradient, et cetera, and found an artist who would best create the art i wanted for me. despite being a little late, envy was very, very sweet and attentive, answering all of my questions and making sure to be honest about his abilities and his skills. he explained to me how he does his work and why, which made me trust him and his skills very much. his pricing is a bit steep for me right now, but his work and detail makes it completely worth it. he focuses, he told me, on the skin as much as the art, since he specializes in fine line work. the shop itself was very clean and offered lollipops, which is a huge plus. the music they were playing was great!! love the art on the wall, and the hustle butter deals they offered. front of house staff was very nice. the only thing that is driving me away from the shop is the pricing. while i do believe that the quality of the work they provide is well worth the price, i am a broke college student, so i may need to wait some time to actually book. they price by the hour at 250 dollars (for cash). they take a 100 dollar deposit when booking, which scared me at first, but envy told me that they subtract that deposit from the final price of the appointment. i think that is very generous, and as a customer i appreciate it. i look forward to booking down the line!!

When we walked in the studio I was so impressed with how nice the studio was. The customer service was super nice and Bruce was so easy to work with! Bruce Kaplan absolutely did an amazing job on my tattoo and made me feel comfortable. He answered all of my questions and my husbands questions. We felt so comfortable my husband booked his next tattoo before we left the studio. The prices are fair for the patience, technique and great customer service you receive. I would definitely return and recommend Bruce!
