People milling about, a bar, restaurant, event center and more. We were escorted to a different building---all glass... Bar, fireplace and tables. The concept: You order at the front bar--your food, drinks...etc.,., get a number and when it's ready the waitstaff delivers to the table. Get to the good stuff, you ask.... Ok. Food. It's family style. We ordered: -Crispy Brussel Sprouts-- umm. Divine and just the right amount of "crisp". -Truffle Fries... the accompanying dip was delicious. -Roasted Asparagus salad... wonderful. -Pizza. It's about the dough and the I have to say, it was pretty good. These were the only things i ate since i don't do any meat. But there was crab cakes, rigatoni bolognese, which I guess was delicious considering the empty plates at the end... But what about their wine, you ask? We come here at least once a month and it's one of our favorites every time. Food is delicious and made to serve more than one. No tipping at this establishment - it's fast casual as in you go up to order. They pay their employees well so you know your service is going to be top notch and you don't feel bad about not tipping and the concept. The salads are delicious and so unique, always dressed well and filling. Pastas and pizzas are incredible flavors and they change their menu for the season. Some friends came from Philly so we wanted to bring them. This place is so beautiful and the food is fantastic. Most dishes are shareable so we ordered 5 dishes. The rigatoni in a vodka sauce, delicious, the gnocchi with pesto was perfect, the swordfish with potatoes was good although the potatoes were a bit al dente. The Suppli was even better than I thought. But the calamari was some of the best I've had. Just the right amount of crispy and the sweet spicey sauce the best. I wanted the whole plate. Of course we tried a few wines which there are many to choose from. The place was packed but we had a nice table on the patio. Service is excellent although you actually go up to order. I recently went to the winery and purchased the scampi/ ravioli meal. It was average and not very filling priced at $26, if you order this as a meal you will be left wanting. Cake is now $8.50, and a bit over priced. Don`t sit near the main entrance or you will freeze to death on a cold day, this place seriously needs a double door entry. read more

Nice atmosphere, got there by 5 mid week and there were lots of seating options. By 6 there was a line and a wait. Food came out pretty fast, you can order at the counter or from the tables . Wine line moved quick, the sampler is nice to try different options. The summer menu Tuscan chicken bites were our favorite - light and crispy and a good amount- we got marinara and the aioli and it was nice to switch it up. The suppli was cooked well and the french onion grilled cheese was very tasty! The sweet and spicy ricotta pizza was missing the sweet for sure and didn't have much sauce. The rigatoni ala vodka was our least favorite, not much flavor or sauce, sausage would be a better fit. The sparkling moscato was crisp, fruity and fizzy. Visited Michael Angelo's Winery tonight as my daughter highly recommended this venue. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated in the main hall. The decor was farmhouse and appealing. The youg staff was running around cleaning up tables, delivering food, and serving wine. After being seated, my daughter informed me that there was filtered water available for self-serve along the windows. So we fetched some water, which was indeed filtered and kept on ice. Very nice. We reviewed the menus and I opted for a salad, my daughter requested morel fettucini, my son requested a pepperoni pizza, my wife requested crab cakes and french fries as an appetizer for everyone along with vodka rigatoni for her dinner, and I requested a roasted asparagus salad. Shockingly, our food was delivered within six minutes. It was hot and fresh. My salad was excellent - definitely in my top five ever. It's the middle of winter and the salad ingredients were surpisingly fresh and tasty. The crab cakes were very tasty. The french fries and the sauce they come with were excellent. My wife's pasta and daughter's pasta dishes were very good. My son's pepperoni pizza missed the mark. While it was obviously fresh, it had an odd chemical flavor that I did not enjoy. Ignoring the pizza, the food overall was excellent. My wife requested a glass of pinot grigio and it was sweeter than most, but I found it to be very tasty. And I'm not a fan of Ohio wine. For being a winery, it's the most subpar part of this place. A $40 bottle taste like anything off the grocery store shelf under $10. The service is also mediocre. You have to go up to a separate bar to order wine and a separate bar for food. You don't have the option to carry your tab either. When they bring out your food, your table number isn't very clear. I watched the staff walk around for several minutes before figuring out the table on several occasions. A little hidden gem 30 min south of downtown CLE in Richfield, OH. This is a multiple purpose space with private rooms for events, coffee & bakery, restaurant with dining available indoors or outdoors. You can also just come and order a glass of wine at the bar and find seating outside for a relaxing summer afternoon. I suggest going early to secure seating. On a Saturday at 11am we were able to get a table inside. The coffee shop/bakery is open at that time. Lunch opens up at 12pm. Each table has a QR code to scan and place your order. Note the site doesn't allow you to order until 12pm. For lunch we ordered the truffle fries, rigatoni (vegetarian version), and burrata salad. The truffle fries are crispy and seasoned well. Definitely order these! The rigatoni is okay. It is nice that you can get this made vegan as well (without cheese and egg free). The burrata salad was mediocre. It felt a bit soggy with heavy dressing and blobs of burrata dolloped throughout the salad. I probably wouldn't get that again. The interior is simple, but elegant. It is a space for all as we saw families with kids, couples, friends, and many attending private events. I believe the space is wide enough for wheelchairs to get through too. After lunch we wandered the winery and saw all the various blends they sell. Most popular are the Rose and Red Sagebrush (average about $50 a bottle). As we looked around, we met the manager, Pete. He was very excited to share that the winery has won several awards and showed us around the back where the wine processing takes place. Some of the grapes come from Napa Valley and he walked us through the cleaning, fermentation, bottling, and storage of the wines. I think they offer wine 'tours' which you can buy tickets for online. Afterward we got Rose at the bar ($10 for a half glass) and decided to get macarons ($1.70) for a little treat. There is a water station near the bakery where you can fill up a cup to take with you. Restrooms are just around the corner. We found seating outside where we could leisurely sip on wine and chat. A relaxed way to spend an afternoon. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I'm still upset and angry about the way that I was treated at this establishment on Tuesday, June 10. Went for a dual birthday event for me and my husband with my husband's parents. We frequently have family events here, and my in-laws actually purchased an expensive gift card for my husband as his birthday gift, which wound up being ironic as I will never come back to this place again after the service that we received. We arrived at about 6:10 pm and sat at table 100. The restaurant itself was not that busy, although I noticed that there were several large private events going on. We sent our order in (brussel sprouts, salad, pizza, and fries) at 6:33 pm. At just after 7, we got sprouts and salad. No pizza, no fries. At 7:15 or 7:20 we asked about our other food. This was nearly an hour after ordering, and while directly watching other tables in our area get plate after plate of food. The manager, Pete, came to talk to us and told us that they do staggered serving, so things should come out as they're done. This has never been the case when I have eaten there, as I have done multiple times in the past few years. However, we try to have patience and continue waiting. At 7:50, an hour and twenty minutes after ordering, we start asking servers again about our food. The manager comes back, who had promised to "do a dance for us" if our food wasn't there in a few minutes, and who was extremely dismissive of us and just kept saying that things were "busy," again came out. He offered us free dessert at that point, but kept iterating that it was "busy." We finally got pizza over an hour and a half after ordering it, only to see tables that had arrived 15 minutes previously receiving their food at the same time as us! To repeat this - we waited an hour and a half, and tables that were there for 15 minutes got served the same dish (pizza) as us at the exact same time! So, if the kitchen was busy, why did these people get their food at the same time? Shouldn't they have waited another whole hour? The restaurant did nothing but get busier, so why was their food so fast and ours took so long? I'm so angry and frustrated, and we now have this large gift card that I will never use. I've spent a lot of money at this establishment, and so has my husband's family, and it was just galling to be treated this way. I know that sometimes things take longer, but to be directly lied to about the reason, and to be dismissed and brushed off as if I'm some sort of idiot was insanely insulting and demeaning. I didn't take the free dessert, and I would encourage anyone thinking about this restaurant to think twice. There are no direct waiters or waitresses, which means that while you wait an hour and a half for your food, you have nobody who cares about what's going on. It also means you have already paid for food that you have not received. And it means that every five minutes somebody with a clearing tub is going to come by and try to take your plate while you still haven't even received your food! Just don't lie to people when their food isn't out about why that is. Don't say it's busy when it plainly isn't (unless you mean the large private parties and that you're prioritizing them over the restaurant service entirely). Don't lie and say "consecutive dining," and act like the customer is in the wrong for asking where their food is after an hour and a half. 30 minutes for appetizers and an hour longer for pizza is absolutely absurd. This was a 2 hour meal in it's entirety on a Tuesday night. Dessert is literally a slap in the face as an offer, on top of being treated like some sort of nuisance and problem. I also noticed that the table right behind us was missing multiple orders, and that they were complaining to management and having their bill adjusted. I guess that's just for some folks and not others depending on how you look. I would say please just take a pass on this place if you're thinking of a nice family outing if you don't want your birthday utterly ruined like mine was. Just upsetting to be treated this way, and embarrassing for my husband and mother-in-law to have to try to track down our food via multiple avenues as most of the staff totally ignored us or treated us like a nuisance. People have eyes, and it's super insulting to tell me what I can visually see isn't real. Not cool, and not appreciated. read more

I'm from out of town and here visiting family. I've been here before and have had a great time. This time? Not so much. Came around 7:00 on a Wednesday. It was pretty hopping. Took about 20mins to be seated, which is fine. We finally got our table (in the actual back corner) and that's where problems started. It's go to the front to order your food and drinks, no problem. I did get handed a clearly dirty wine glass but I didn't need it so I left it on the counter. Get back to the table and the food came out relatively quick. We ordered the charcuterie board, Brussels sprouts, butternut squash gnocchi, and the asparagus salad. When they bring your food, they bring you the plates and utensils. Our food runner didn't bring them, said he would be right back and we didn't see him again. After about 5mins of watching our food get cold we went and got our own. Once we had plates I went to dig into the gnocchi, only to find a very long dark hair in it. Since there's no waitstaff I had to bring the serving dish, and my plate with the hairy food back up to the food counter. There was a small line so I had to stand there and wait to be helped. The women who I told what happened was nice and said she would have it remade and sent out. I had to ask for a new plate and silverware, since mine had come into contact with the hair. Went back to the table to wait and enjoy the rest of the food. After about 20mins of waiting we gave up on getting the gnocchi. I went back (now for a 3rd time) to request a refund. Again there was a line to wait in. The same girl was apologetic and issued the refund. She also provided a free slice of cheese cake but at the point I was just over it. We packed up the left overs of what we did get and left. Overall really disappointed in the experience, the couple times I have been before have been great so maybe this was just a fluke. First timers: The wine was really good, the setup to get the wine is a little weird. The line is in the middle of the room in a main walkway, tends to get a little chaotic. The food was good, my wife enjoyed the soup of the day. She liked it a lot. We got the fries and I got the pepperoni roll. The down side to the pepperoni roll was that all of the pepperoni was crammed into the corner of the roll and that was the only place. The rest was just cheese. While still delicious, it was kind of a bummer. I feel like over all the environment is welcoming. The only real down side was the staff that was cleaning up the plates. They continued to bang the plates into their carts over and over. At one point the cart was directly behind me and the gentleman placing the plates on the cart I swear was testing the strength and durability of the plates. I feel like for a "winery" where you should be trying to relax... a loud "BANG" right behind you takes away from the calm environment. We arrived here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was absolutely packed! Which is a good sign of course but also we got lucky snagging the last table. The way this place is set up is that you go to either the food or wine counter to order, and they bring what your order to your table. I liked this concept as there was no pressure to order at a specific time, and you can also pick a few different things over time. It's very casual yet still very classy in the interior. Onto the food! We started off with the Baked Brie and the Teriyaki Shrimp. The Baked Brie was more of a dessert but it was still absolutely yummy. The pastry shell exterior was drenched in a sweet honey and when I took a bite with the pasty and the cheese, I experienced a perfect combination of sweet and buttery. The pistachios added a nice crunch to the creamy texture of the cheese. The shrimp was also decent, also combining some sweet and savory flavors, which I always am a sucker for. For our entrees, we got the Pasta a la Vodka and the Wild Mushroom Pizza with a side of Truffle Fries. The pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente and the vodka sauce was the perfect balance of tomatoey and creamy. The pizza was nothing special, the bread was a tad bit dry, so I would definitely opt for a pasta entree if you are between the two. We absolutely demolished those Truffle Fries too, the truffle flavor was subtle but the fries were the perfect crispy on the outside and paired with that sun-dried tomato aioli was heavenly. Honestly, I was excited for all of this food but what really got my attention was their extensive dessert display. They had everything, from cupcakes and mini cakes to macaroons and cannolis. We decided to get the Strawberry Cassata and Cookies and Cream miki cakes. The Strawberry Cassata cake had layers of moist spongey yellow cake and incredibly fresh strawberries covered with a sugary jam. The Cookies and Cream cake was fairly standard but also delicious. The cake was just incredibly moist and there was a perfect balance of fillng to cake for both. Although I did not know what to expect, I am honestly really impressed with this place. I've never had flat sparkling wine. My friend arrived and we ordered more wine and food. Two more times we struggled to get Ashley's attention, but thankfully Max checked on us. The pizzas needed a little more seasoning and the lobster pot pies were tasty but could have used a little more veggies, they were pretty hollow inside. Super loud inside - hard to have an enjoyable time. Food is delivered by staff as it's ready however if you're not sharing it's a problem because there are big gaps between items. We ordered 2 pizzas (both cold), Brussels sprouts that were way too salty, calamari nice flavor but very cold, Mac n cheese which took forever and bread. Had to hunt down utensils. If you have any questions or needs it's hard to get help. Seems chaotic and loud. Not very enjoyable. You must order your own drinks and get your own water at counter not your table. I'm a little surprised to see an overall low score of this place. Overall, we had a great evening. The food was delicious as well as of course the wine. Most of the low scores I've noticed mentioned the self serve model of having to get your wine, which I didn't mind. Although it was busy, the line wasn't that long. They also let you sample for 50 cents if you're unsure of what you want. In addition, they sat us in front of a cabinet where they stored glasses. We had to get up for a moment so they could access it but in exchange gave us free dessert which I thought was really nice of them. The big con for me was the parking situation. They have a huge lot which probably has ample parking when not busy but on a busy night like when we went it was awful. We drove around for minimally 10 minutes circling for a spot. Where do I begin? They were busy on a Saturday night as usual. We were seated right away. With their expansion, the main dining area isn't as crowded as before and you actually have room to move around without bumping to others. You can order the food from your table by scanning the QR code. It was very convenience! However, you'd still have to get in line to order wine from the bar. We ordered crispy brussels sprouts, calamari, scallop fritters, and rigatoni a la vodka. This is where everything went wrong! It took almost an hour for the calamari and brussels sprouts to come out. We told the buser of 2 additional dishes, he said he'd go check on it but never came back. It then took another 15 minutes for the rigatoni to come out. The food quality went downhill! The portion was skimpy. While I understand every restaurant is trying to cut costs by increasing price and decrease portion, but calamari is probably enough for 1 person and it's not worth $20. The brussels sprouts weren't just crispy, they were burnt! It was a sad looking plate. It left a charred aftertaste. Our party didn't enjoy it. We kept waiting for the scallop fritters. We asked 2 busers to check on our order, but none of them ever came back. I even went to the register to inquire on it, the girl behind the counter said she would check but never did. She just stood there talking and cleaning the glasses. It took well over 1.5hr before the fritters ever made it to our table. By the time we got it, we had finished the other dishes. The fritters were the worst! They said we eat with our eyes, but the way they plated the fritters left very little to no desire. The aioli was served in a plastic carry out container, it looked messy. The fritters were dark, and looked burnt. It was sad because there was more batter than scallop. They probably used 1 whole scallop for all the fritters. We didn't taste any scallop, it was just batter. Please do not order this dish, it's not worth $18! In the past, we felt it was worthwhile to drive 40 minutes to MAW for a change. But after this visit, I don't think it's worthwhile. From the long wait to food quality and portion, it might be my last time. While I'm glad to see MAW is expanding and doing well, I sure hope the owner can invest in more time in the kitchen and do a better job with food QC. read more

I went there on Thursday June 19, 2025. The wine is decent here. We ordered a charcuterie board. The meats were wadded up in a ball. We had to untangle the prosciutto and cappicola. It was a complete mess. Prosciutto comes in between wax paper for a reason and restaurants in ohio don't seem to understand why. The cheese came in big squares. How am I supposed to put that on a cracker? Cheese on a charcuterie board should be sliced thin. The staff seems to be teenagers and that to me explains why they would make these blunders. Came with some friends on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy! We had to wait 30 minutes to get seated but worth the wait. Tried lots of wines. I definitely liked the red more than the white. The table we shared a variety of pizzas and pastas and everything we tried was delicious. Got the watermelon salad and enjoyed that more than I thought I would. Service was very nice too.
