Good food! Plenty of hot coffee and seated us (party of 14) very easily!! Would go again!

This is my favorite place to eat breakfast. We often stop on our way to Spokane or to fuel up for a day of shopping. Absolutely love their Bagels Florentine...YUM Breakfast potatoes are wonderful and they actually serve a wonderful fresh fruit side. read more

I have been to Michael d's probably 50 times. Its a good solid breakfast restaurant. Service is fast, breakfasts are consistent. My friend tells me its her favorite restaurant and we have tried them all. We just keep going back and like it. read more

Was driving through Coeur D'Alene and found this little gem of an eatery. The service was excellent. We were seated by the owner who later checked on how our experience was. The menu was full of options for everyone, including Paleo options. I had the sweet potato hash with a side of a paleo pancake that was delicious!! read more

A local CDA person told us this was the best breakfast in town,,,and they were right. Got a great table within seconds of entering the restaurant. The service and food was excellent. I can see why this place gets such rave reviews. On my must go again list for Cour d' Alene. read more

Trout and eggs and pan fried potatoes. Add a beer and you have the perfect breakfast. If that's not your flavor then the menu is jammed packed with wonderful selections to fit any mood or taste. Fresh, fast and friendly this place is a definite short list contender everytime. read more

We've been coming to Michael D's since it first opened and in fact use to eat at the diner that was there before Michael D's. We have always had great service and our favorites are the ham and cheese scrambler and the Barbra D combo. Great sourdough pancakes. read more

What can we say other than Michael D's Eatery really brought its A game this morning. The place was packed but the service was wonderful, we were seated quick and the coffee refills were right on cue. We got a vegetarian scrambler and it was a good balance of eggs and potatoes, everything was cooked right, and there was a pleasant amount of heat from the peppers. We split the scrambler and we added a cup of fruit and it was just the right amount of food. The check came promptly and with a smile, as did our change, and we were out the door and back on the road towards Seattle. This was a really, really good experience all the way around. read more

Consistently great food. And, good sized portions. But... It had been about 6 weeks since we visited M D's. It was apparent that Michael was *NOT* on the premises: Bathroom needed to be cleaned. Dishes sat on tables waiting to be bussed. Coffee was 'over heated' and served from the bottom of the pot. And, to top it all off, our waitress was unwilling or unable to change the blaring, head banger, acid rock music they were playing. Hard to believe, we don't go out to eat only to be forced to listen such music (usually selected by the staff) Sarcasm intended. I was shocked to see this otherwise excellent restaurant deteriorate to this level. We will give it one more try and if it does not return to it's former excellent operation, we will go elsewhere. read more

We thought because this restaurant seems so busy that we were. In for a treat. The owner was very friendly, however the food was nothing to good. The smoked salmon omelette was regular, not smoked, fishy salmon. The shameless Omelette had link sausage that tasted like bad ground pork. The biscuits and gravy were inedible. The gravy was obviously a packaged gravy that tasted gritty. The biscuits were hard. We will not be returning. Oh and watery coffee cost $2.60/ cup. Uuugghh. read more

Incredible paleo waffle! Super fast, friendly sevice-I had my breakfast in 10 minutes. They also give you the option of real maple syrup for an extra $2. Good, hot Doma coffee. This will be the only place I'll ever eat breakfast in Coeur d'Alene! read more

We are in town visiting and the food here was beyond exceptional!! It's very hard to find places both me and my husband enjoy because I try to avoid gluten and dairy in my diet, but this place was a pleasant surprise! This cute, cozy, classic breakfast diner/cafe had all the traditional breakfast options plus an amazing paleo waffle--which is gluten and dairy free. It was slightly overdone but otherwise the flavor and texture were amazing and I didn't get that sickly stuffed feeling I usually get from other GF-DF breakfast foods. Their breakfast potatoes were equally delicious (although I have no idea if they're GF). My husband got the "Irish scramble," which was also beyond amazing. Highly recommended, especially for people with dietary sensitivities who want food that still tastes good (and don't want to make their family suffer haha). read more

Husband says the Eggs Benedict was very, very good. The thinkly sliced ham?/bacon? was especially sweet and a new way to present. The hollendaise sauce was excellent with just right flavors. I too was pleased with my simple rolled oats w/brn sugar & bananas . . . cooked correctly and very tasty . . a generous serving of good whole wheat toast topped it off. Staying in CDA for cpl days, and was introduced to this wonderful breakfast place. Had the Irish Scramble - corned beef, green onions, scrambled eggs, potatoes and swiss cheese, and topped with sour cream !!! - The corned beef was shredded and flavored the entire plate ! - best breakfast I've had in a long time... price was great at about $10 and had to leave some, as the portions were huge! Can't review the food because we never could get a busboy, hostess or waitress to look our way after sitting at our table for more than 20 minutes. They all walked by...several times...but not a boo, howdy or anything. Maybe outdoor seating is something this restaurant should reconsider. read more

I love this restaurant! My husband had eggs, easy over, sausage links sourdough bread and the potatoes. The sausage was good, not fatty. Care was taken with each component on his plate. I had the Eggs Benedict. This is one of my favorite "Benedicts." The reason, real hollandaise. They get it right. Thin slices of tasty smoked ham that they have lovingly cooked before they put it on the buttered English muffin that was toasted, not pale. And, the orange juice was wonderful. There was even a slice of watermelon on the plate. The food came in a timely manner, served with a smile. Ok, it was a drive and a wait for breakfast from Missoula but so worth the wait.
