My appointment was on July 11, 2022. The hygienist came and did her work and I was waiting to see Dr. Barnes to evaluate the x-ray results and tell me if my teeth are okay. After a few minutes the hygienist came back and told me that my teeth are good and the doctor is busy and he cannot see me today. I was not happy that the doctor didn't have time to see me, although I had an appointment with him. Two weeks later I had toothache and I went to a different dentist in Newport Beach. The new dentist, after evaluating my teeth, told me that I had two cavities and he did fill the cavities. I believe Dr. Barnes is handling more than what he can do. He is the only doctor in the office. As he told me last year, he is also interested in making apple pies and delivers to the offices in the building. I think it is time for Dr. Barnes to retire and go to his apple pie business. I do not recommend him to any one who is looking for a dentist in Newport Beach. By the way, Susy, the office manager is an asset to this office. She is very helpful. read more

In addition to Dr Barnes' exceptional manner in dealing with the patient, I have been very impressed with the hygienists at the office -- Angie, Rebekah, and all of the others I've seen over the last few years. Great practice. Angie did an excellent job cleaning my teeth both times I've been here. In fact the first time I fee like she spent 2 hours working off my years worth of tarter(get your teeth cleaned every 6 months kids)! She really took pride in her work. Call of Duty, on his day off Dr. Barnes took care of what I thought would have to be a crown, but he was able to do a work around that save my tooth. In addition a lot of additional work to that area. I was very pleased at the results and the additional care in fixing a chip in my front teeth.
