I've been a patient of Dr. Roger Ho for over 8 years now, and I can confidently say that this is the best dental care I've ever received. Dr. Ho is incredibly professional, patient, and gentle. A few years ago, I was having issues with gum bleeding whenever I brushed, and Dr. Ho recommended a deep cleaning. I was a little nervous at first, but he and his team made the whole process smooth and painless. After the treatment, I noticed a huge improvement, after many years my gums are now much healthier, and I no longer experience bleeding when I brush. That one recommendation made such a lasting difference in my oral health. I also want to give a special mention to Elizabeth, the hygienist. She is absolutely lovely--so kind, gentle, and thorough. She always has a warm and calming presence, which really helps during cleanings. The front desk staff is also friendly and organized, and I've never had any issues with scheduling or insurance. The fact that I'm writing a review for a dental office should be telling in itself. I found the office via my insurance website- I'm so glad I did! They made making an appointment so easy and loved that they had availability & I didn't have to wait weeks/months. I wish I remembered everyone's names, but the lady who cleaned my teeth was SO kind, considerate and gentle. Dr. Ho was very kind as well as informative without being condescending! I needed a wisdom tooth extraction and was lucky to book an appointment for the following week! They have someone in-house which made the process so seamless. I'm writing this review just minutes after getting them removed. I had 2 removed and their guy had me numbed and wisdom teeth removed in less than 10 minutes. Insane. I'm writing this because I had a cavity filled early this morning before work and I feel great before lunch. Dr. Ho is really fun and lighthearted while also being professional and clearly experienced, which makes a harrowing process much easier. I freaked out a little bit from the numbing and he was patient and told me we could go at my pace, which I was very happy about. His hygienist explained the numbing in a way that made me relax. Can't say enough about Dr. Ho, Leanne, and Elizabeth (the usual team I see when I come in) I've been a patient of this office since I was 6 years old, through college 4 hours away, and through all my different jobs since! Dr. Ho came in when I was in my teens, and it was a seamless transition. Always thorough and gentle in my cleaning and x rays (Elizabeth thank you!!) and Leanne is always on top of changing insurance plans as my jobs changed, while keeping me in the loop. Never had a bad visit or issue that wasn't worked out within 24 hours. Just went in today for my 6 month check, cleaning, and X-rays - first time post lockdown, and the staff was wearing all the protective equipment, took my temperature with a touchless thermometer, and I kept my mask on until I was ready for my cleaning. Ive had two appointments so far at Dr.Ho's office and each visit has been wonderful ! They follow all covid guidelines and make sure you feel comfortable at every visit. I haven't been to the dentist in over 10 years (LOL) and I knew I needed a lot of work. They knew exactly what I needed done and did not add on any services I did not need (most places just want you to add on things you do not need) Janice (the assistant) was very nice and talked me through the whole process and Lyanne at the front was so helpful and super sweet ! I feel I have a cavity on my back tooth, and my friend recommend me to see Dr. Ho. I always so afraid to see dentist. I hate the dental office smell, the drilling noise always giving me goosebumps. I tried to avoid dental office as much as I can. But Dr. Ho's office changed my mind. It doesn't have those chlorine scent and we were having small talk during the procedure. He also applied the numbing cream before the anesthesia shot. I barely feel anything during the procedure. After the procedure Dr Ho warned me I might have sensitive tooth and discomfort for few weeks. I didn't feel anything at all since the next day. Today is the 5th day after the procedure. My cavity is gone. I can eat what ever I want again! I cannot say I had a great experience with this dental office because doctor visit is never great... but Dr. Ho is the best dentist I ever visit. I recently had a change of insurance and consequently had to change dentist, which can be a very stressful and uncertain in outcome. Fortunately for me it was a blessing that I was forced by circumstance to find him. By far the most gentle, kind, knowledgeable, and professional dentist I've every had. His consideration for my immediate need (the result of procrastination ) and my long term needs and my budget convinced me to begin a yearlong process to take advantage of my new insurance. I also subsequently had a bad bike accident and needed to immediately begin root canal and crown work prior to insurance approval. His office staff and specifically Claire has been working overtime to get my insurance to cover the cost after the fact. It's emotional enough to have the work done without having to fight insurance so that's been a real bonus I've never had available at any other dentist. Keep up the great work Dr. Ho! His office is very close to home, but it really was the positive comments left about not only Dr. Ho, but his wonderful office staff, as well, that caused me to choose him. I have been getting my dental work done at this office pretty much since I have had teeth! Dr. Miller was the Doctor who owned the practice before Dr. Ho, and my mother had been going to Dr. Miller since before I was on this earth! I have moved around a bit, so for short periods of time I have had to employ other Dentists, and have not had the best experience. So the long and short of it is I am not the best patient when it comes to this kind of thing! I am scared, fearful, and full of anxiety! The thing I always loved about Dr. Miller is he would not steer me wrong. If it was going to hurt, he would tell me how much. I could trust him. He made me feel safe in his chair. When I found out that Dr. Miller was going to be retiring, and someone new would be taking over, I was afraid. You never think about your relationship with your dentist until you get a few nut jobs! Dr. Ho is the consummate dentist. He's been fixing my tooth problems since he took over the practice from the retiring Dr. Alan Miller, in 2010 or 11. Dr. Ho is extremely competent, open, informative, friendly and caring. He will spend as much time as the work requires to achieve the best result that anyone is capable of performing--no shortcuts that result in inferior work. He has a thoroughly ingratiating "chairside" manner. Also, if you have a particular problem that he thinks would be better served by a specialist such as an endodontist or periodontist, he will refer you out to similarly excellent practitioners. Everything he does is in his patients' absolute best interest. Elizabeth, his dental hygienist is unimaginably good. She has been cleaning my teeth for many years, and will report problems she finds, to be evaluated by Dr. Ho, so action can be taken, if necessary, in order to prevent more serious problems from developing in the future. I am SO happy I found my dentist in this area! Dr. Ho has a very special team and I will definitely be referring people to them. I actually found them through someone I met at work who referred me to them. Lizzie at the front is professional, sweet, polite, and outgoing. Dezi is very personable, funny, and professional as well. Elizabeth the hygienist is HILARIOUS! While I only met Dr. Ho briefly, he want also friendly and helpful by answering my questions. I didn't feel like he was just there to meet me then bolt. He took his time answering my questions and looked over my x-rays thoroughly. Trust me, you ARE in good hands. The parking situation is fairly tight, but I had no trouble finding a spot on a Friday morning. They are open Tues.- Fri. The do appointment reminder phone calls which is really helpful and if you cancel, but forget to reschedule, they do call you back. I know some people may be annoyed by this, but just think, these are your TEETH. You only get one set and they just want you to take care of them. They truly do want the best for you and you can tell. Having just quickly scanned the previous two reviews before posting my own, I can see that Vanessa D. practically took the words right out of my mouth. My first visit to this office was around 1992ish, and for nearly two decades I contested that I had found the best dentist on the planet. I hate to admit it, but I have had very extensive work done over the years and much of it was performed in small clinics and dental schools across the country due to the transient nature of the lifestyle of my youth. Consequently, a good deal of that work had to be redone and I couldn't be more grateful that I settled into a neighborhood only a block away from this office. Dr. Miller was beloved and respected by his faithful client base, so it came as a great shock when he announced his retirement seemingly out of the blue. His strong assurances that he had gone to great lengths to find a worthy successor meant almost nothing to those of us who had grown to depend upon his expertise and the warm demeanor of his loving staff. To keep it short, Dr. Miller's skill in choosing his staff and his successor was as top-notch as his deftness with both needle and drill. Dr. Roger Ho has shown that he is respectful to the legacy that he carries on; whilst wielding a new skillset forged in the fires of the most current science and technology. I have nothing but praise and compliments for this business, of which (by the way) is Dr. Elizabeth an integral part of! Dr. Liz is the hygienist with Dr. Ho, who I am extremely grateful for having continued with the practice after Dr. Miller retired. I can honestly say that she is one of my favorite people on the planet. In conclusion, how can a client/customer best show gratitude to a business? It is my opinion that referring my friends and loved ones does just that. I have had the pleasure of knowing that my father, my sister, my brother-in-law, my best friend, 2 previous roommates, all 3 of my current housemates, and more than a few of my friends and acquaintances have all received care at the hands of Dr. Ho and Dr. Liz.
