just had a cleaning yesterday and they had a hygienist who travels so it was my first time meeting Lauren. I can't say they skimp on the quality with their fill-in hygienist when one of them is out. I do believe they have three. She not only did the scraping, but she does the ultrasound water which I prefer along with the scraping so it was an excellent cleaning. Really nice gal. Gentle to the Max! I've been a patient of Dr Jones for about 10 years now, and today visited to have a cavity fixed and also for a crown on one of my molars. What I expected was to get a temporary crown and have to return - what a pleasant surprise to discover that everything could be completed in just an hour! Dr Jones has always been amazingly gentle, and I know from lousy dentistry in the past (think Little Shop of Horrors). So I really appreciate that when I visit Dr. Jones not only do I not experience any pain, I don't even feel the anesthetic! Really amazing. Dr Jones has always gone out of his way to avoid any unnecessary work, and tried valiantly to save a tooth that I had neglected for too long. I know this - a visit to his office whether for cleaning or crown is guaranteed to be a pleasant, painless experience. At Park Place Dental, Dr. Jones is one of four dentists I've seen in my life, and I'm not a young woman! First of all, he's a very interesting and extremely competent, as well as a nice and friendly person. A coworker recommended Park Place Dental to me so I made an apt for a cleaning. Barbie, the receptionist was fantastic and helpful so I thought it would be a good expirience....I was wrong. My apt was at 11:30 and they were running a half hour behind so they didn't take me until noon. As soon as I sat down, they tried to upsell me a fancy toothbrush and as they went through the exam recommended a deep cleaning - another up sell. My last cleaning was slighly over 6 months but my report from my last dentist was to floss more but overall a clean bill of health. The hygenist was very rough with the cleaning and burned my lip with the hot water from the sonic water thingy. I thought that the actual dentist was very nice and friendly but I felt like the whole time they were trying to figure out how to get more money out of me and bill more. The dentist said that I have two cavaties...also surprising, I asked to see the spots on the xray and the response was "you probably can't see it from where you're sitting" I'm obviously no expert but I don't have much faith that they exist. I will be going back to my old dentist in the city----I would rather drive an hour and a half than go back to this place. The whole thing just gave me a bad feeling. read more

I hate dentists, hate dentist visits more and hate a visit to a new dentist even more! Michael and his staff were so chill; I relaxed the moment I made it through the door. Double appts for my 12 yo daughter and I . Our last DDS was fine but said cruel things that scared my daughter to tears (still no cavities). Michael was a real guy who took the time to talk to me when my mouth did not have tools in it and was able to talk to my daughter in a way we left satisfied. My one complaint is that darn DemandForce review and marketing system. Come on, what's the point of allowing reviews when you can edit them or remove them? You don't need that, Dr. Jones! His "thing" is single day crowns. I think it is interesting to note that I knew I had buckle cracks on two molars, showed him and he did NOT advise me to fix, but said it would eventually need it. I was anxious to see a new dentist, but the receptionist, hygienist, and dentist were all very friendly and made it an easy experience. Best Dentist I've been to in 55 years. Very gentle and my wife and I have never experienced any up sale as mentioned in one review. Dr. Jones has performed two root canals on me in seven years, the last one being two days ago. With the root canal and temp crown, I was in and out in 1.5 hours. I have had almost no discomfort and when I did have a bit, it was controlled with Ibuprofen only. On the second day after the procedure, I have zero discomfort. I can even close my teeth together and barely notice that the tooth was worked on. read more

Until I went to Dr. Jones, I had never left a dental office with more problems than when I went in. Prior dentists created problems when replacing old silver fillings with composites and I eventually had to have root canals and caps. Dr. Jones was able to save a very expensive previous cap on a tooth and do a root canal to cure an abscess. All of the work I've had done was perfect and painless and the staff is friendly and efficient. He also has state of the art technology so I'll be seeing him again for bleaching and Invisiline braces to even out my teeth. I have been to many dentists in my life. This is the best service I have ever gotten. It truly takes a huge chunk of the hindrance of going to the dentist out! The receptionist, Barbie, is a complete sweetheart and jewel. Kind, polite, patient, helpful, and knowledgable. Just like the rest of the staff! They treat you like gold! The dentists are always super gentle and careful no matter what they are doing to your teeth. I have had regular cleaning and deep cleaning where they literally had to take a needle and numb my mouth. I never felt any pain because they're so nice and careful. They constantly check to make sure you are alright as they are cleaning your teeth, etc. When I had to switch to another dentist because of denti-cal, I was truly upset because I love this place. I still go here to get my teeth cleaned because I don't like my current dentist.
