Alyssa not only gave me the best and most thorough cleaning I have had in years, but also provided me with more info about the condition of my teeth than previous dentists Ive been to. She also helped me with some solid recommendations to adjust my routine and gave me a whole new perspective on the toothbrush I have been using and how to get the most out of my nanohydroxy toothpaste. I ended up buying the oral b electric brush with the round heads per her suggestion. I tried it tonite and I really like how it advises if Im brushing too hard and it also has a 2 min timer built in, pretty cool! Another thing I really appreciated is how she did not pressure me to use flouride products and even gifted me some nice natural coconut floss to try. Im so happy to have a reliable dentist office to get my regular cleanings again, of course I rebooked with Alyssa. I would for sure recommend this place to anyone looking for dental work. I went to Alma Dental because I was having significant pain in my lower right molar (#31). During…read moremy visit, x rays were taken and the tooth was tapped, but no hot or cold sensitivity test was performed, even though I reported cold sensitivity. I was referred to an endodontist and charged $210 for the exam and x rays. I chose to see a different endodontist because I was more comfortable with that provider based on their reviews. The endodontist immediately performed a cold test, which clearly showed that tooth was highly sensitive, and diagnosed a crack in the tooth. Based on what I later learned, it sounded like the crack should have been visible on the x rays that were taken. That left me questioning why it wasn't identified during my initial exam and why additional diagnostic testing wasn't done before I was referred. I called Alma Dental afterward hoping to have a respectful conversation and better understand what had happened. Instead, the person I spoke with became argumentative. I explained that I wasn't calling to argue. I simply wanted to discuss my concerns, but the conversation continued in that direction, so I ended the call. I do NOT recommend Dr. Serrano based on my experience. I paid for an exam and x rays, but the issue causing my pain was not identified, important diagnostic testing was not performed, and my concerns were not handled professionally when I called to discuss them. I left feeling that the evaluation did not provide the value I expected and that resolving my concerns was not a priority.

( saved me approx $4,000) . He could have easily told me i needed new bridge, but his honesty plays big part here and you can feel he is so genuine and not greedy whatsoever. I went to this dentist for 9 years. At first, I was happy with Dr. Heggli because he is very…read morefriendly and upbeat. It's kind of hard NOT to like him. The first red flag was his office assistant, Kat. One day, I could hear her arguing with a patient while I was getting my teeth cleaned, and it was very uncomfortable. The patient wasn't even being disrespectful. He was just worried about not getting a follow up call, and to be honest she never called back. There were many times they would cancel my appointment last minute (understandable, unforeseen circumstances) but I could not get a hold of her to reschedule. Kat is very abrasive with people in general and I politely mentioned this to Dr. Heggli because as a business owner, I would want to know. He didn't seem to care and just sat there quietly and awkwardly. I get the impression it's a tight clan of staff where patients come second. The atmosphere was very relaxed and I could hear office staff chatting loudly and even cursing. I can't imagine how anyone gets anything done in that office. On top of that, the dental treatment became suspicious over time. My parents were surprised because Dr. Heggli did a lot of crowns on them when they never needed crowns before. They call him "crown crazy " now. I think that's how he makes a lot of his income because he invested in a fancy machine to do it in house. Also, I went in for a cavity, and after the filling he brought in a big machine. When I asked what it was for he said it was to scan my mouth and make a mouthguard. He had briefly mentioned this before, but had only presented it as an option. I told him I wasn't going to pay for it out-of-pocket and wanted to make sure my insurance would cover it. Turns out my insurance would not cover it and it would've been $400 out-of-pocket so I'm glad I stopped him and asked questions. It's shady stuff like that that made me lose trust in his practice. When we finally switched dentists, my daughter ended up needing a lot of his recent fillings redone because the tooth was rotting underneath. I can't definitively say if this was Heggli's fault but it was very suspicious because my daughter brushes her teeth diligently. This also happened with a coworker of mine who went to Heggli. Lastly, my parents had a really hard time getting Kat to transfer their dental records to the new dentist. It took months. We honestly kept all of our interactions with the dentist and his staff very positive and friendly. I can't imagine how they treat customers who speak up. I really wanted to like the guy, but he is clearly just there to collect a paycheck and doesn't really care about his patients so I feel it's only right that I leave an honest review. Getting more serious though, Cheryl is a great dental hygienist and we get along like peas and carrots. I make stupid jokes and she's nice enough to laugh at them. Dr. Griffiths also shared with me the three year old humor he's used to and then shared one with me that made me laugh out loud. Always received great care here, the people are all friendly, and I'm happy to see that they are back able to do their work during this unfortunate pandemic.
