However, my recent interaction with Naomi at the front desk, who claims to be the office manager, has left me extremely concerned. When I called to schedule an appointment and update my payment information, I was met with hostility and condescension. Naomi repeatedly emphasized that I could speak to no one but her, using an alarming tone and even suggesting she felt "threatened" by me when I asked for clarification on my outstanding balance. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue, she abruptly hung up on me. I've invested significant funds in my treatment, including paying over $6,500 for Invisalign, and now I feel blocked from receiving the care I've already paid for. I am genuinely concerned about how my account is being handled and the security of my personal information. It's unfortunate that such an erratic interaction with a single staff member has impacted my ability to continue my treatment with an otherwise outstanding dental team. read more

I needed extensive repair to my teeth. I had bad teeth all my life, and have been in dentist chairs for years. After a bad car accident in the 70s many teeth became loose, and that caused issues. Dr Poksay and team designed a plan for me that I could live with and restored my smile. Sedation dentistry is extremely important to me after a lifetime in the dentist chair and Dr. Poksay and team are expert in handling my anxiety regarding dental procedures. My expected treatment is always explained well, and they are both competent and Knowledgable in what they do. Negative Issue is with the front office staff. this the three stars. I get different quotes for out pocket expenses due for the same service every time I walk in door. I have subsequently delayed completing what needs to be done. I have an appt in the coming year and cannot get an amount due beforehand for same service. I'm sure I'm not the only patient who has unlimited cash and credit flow. read more

Of course during the peak of COVID shelter in place orders, I woke up with tooth pain. I found Dr. Poksay's office and they were able to get me in as a new patient next day. After my exam Dr. Poksay informed me I needed a root canal. I've had an extensive dental history that left me with major dentist anxiety and I thought I just might cry on the spot. The day of my procedure came and it was as good of an experience as a root canal could be! Absolutely no pain! I just laid there with a blanket and pillow while Dr. Poksay and Simone took care of me. I had X-Rays, cleaning and an evaluation by Dr. Poksay this morning. The entire team was friendly and helpful. Dr. Poksay was very professional and knowledgeable as always. He reviewed and developed a treatment plan and took the time to answer my questions. When I arrived, the front desk receptionist took my temperature as expected. They maintained the COVID protocol and I observed them cleaning the chairs and surrounding areas after I moved from the exam space to the check-out area. They have all the barriers in place to help mitigate any potential COVID spread. I needed a follow up appointment and was able to get that right away. Ten years later and I am still extremely satisfied with Dr. Poksay, his team, and all the work they completed for me over the years. My mouth has become very healthy. On my recommendation, my entire family switched to his office and has received excellent care, including implants and teeth alignment. 'Price gougers' and very bad customer service: stay away and be careful! I came to this practice for a second opinion for a treatment recommended by my dentist in San Rafael. It turned out that Dr. Poksay charged my insurance at least $100 more than my dentist for the same treatment (X-rays, Oral exam and cleaning). Dr Poksay practice is supposed to refund my money and I have not received it after I followed up with his staff twice more than a month later. I wanted to get explanation about the confusing bill, Dr Poksay staff did not seem to bother to explain and handle my concern. Also ... they just let me wait for more than half hour after the appointment time. I'm not happy and will not come back. read more

Make sure you read all the reviews and check out the one star reviews that have been left. Not a good dentist office. I had a crown put on there that fell off. All in all just a bad vibe at this place. I had to cancel an appointment due to my back going out. And they tried to raise the price of my appointment on me 500% because I had to reschedule. So I moved on to a new dentist and it made me realize that Dr Poksay DDS office Is one of the typical rip off dentist offices that tries to charge too much and pressures you to do dental things you don't need to. I contacted Dr. Poksay's office with high anxiety due to a truly bad experience with a Dentist several years ago in another state that instilled in me a fear of dentists I had not known previously but caused me to delay treatment when I knew that was not in my best interest. I was experiencing something that increased my fear of the potential for oral cancer. I was a bundle of worry and nerves. I expect to have dental visits involve a certain amount of pain and never feared dental care until my horrible experience some years ago. I shared my worries with Dr. Poksay and his team. I found, I needn't have been concerned. Dr. Poksay is such a true gentleman and put me at ease immediately. He quieted my worries by performing a cancer screen that I now know is part of every exam.
