Then, while I'm waiting, I mention that LAST TIME here, someone misaligned my tire sensors so that the front sensor was registering the back tire on one side, and the other side sensor was not working properly at all... they were all working when I went in, not when I left!! So... a little good news: my tires CAN BE repaired, instead of being replaced... saving me boodles of bucks. Honesty is refreshing!! But, the sensor issue is estimated to cost $300+/- ...... so, there's that. All in all: meh. I'll run these tires til they fall off and probably need a new car next time

Fair prices, honest work, and a constant stream of cars coming in and out. People didn't just go there because it was convenient, they went there because they knew they wouldn't get taken advantage of. Senior citizens trusted Vaughn, including my mother, because they knew he would never rip them off or steer them wrong. Vaughn, to me, will always be one of the kindest, most decent men I've ever known. He took care of my mother and her cars for over 20 years. I remember calling from California to check on her, and every single time, she was getting solid advice, fair pricing, and real care when it came to her car. That kind of consistency is rare. I will never forget how well he and his team treated her. Fast forward to today. Vaughn passed away a few years ago, and his loss was deeply felt in this community. With him, it feels like the heart of that shop went too. The business is now run by Jimmy and his daughter. And the difference is noticeable. Where there used to be a steady flow of customers and cars waiting to be serviced, now the lot is often empty. My mother and I both had a very different experience there recently, and I'm going to be very direct about it. The treatment was rude, cold, and dismissive. It made the entire interaction very uncomfortable. My mother, who lives on a fixed income, tried to ask if there was any flexibility on pricing for a relatively small repair. The answer was no, and it felt final. No effort to work with her, no understanding of her situation. And that's where it really hits. Vaughn would have worked with her. He understood people. Came in to get a tire repaired from a nail. I had even marked the nail spot for them. They lifted up and i looked out and my hood was up, the kid was standing under the car texting on his phone for over 15 minutes and then left the car and as I watched him just walking around talking to other people. When i asked the front desk about it, he said they were doing a general inspection of the car which i never asked for. I was on a tight schedule and was lookin for a quick fix. My wife had to drive to a meeting and, had they done their job, would have been on time. Ended up almost 2 hours late.... for a small tire fix. A plug, which i asked for they did not do but eventually took the tire off and pulled the tire off the wheel to install a patch. Another man was there to get 2 tires. Had been there before I got there and for most of the time I was there. After probably half an hour with the car in the bay, one of the techs asked the front desk if he wanted 2 tires and which ones. I knew I was in trouble at that point. Never ever come here if you are on a schedule and if you do, specify exactly what you want and nothing more. One lady called in for a battery. I saw the battery. Standard agm auto. Quoted her about $450 for the battery and installation.

Shop is super clean, reviews are amazing saying that people get a great deal. They honor their work. I'm getting my tires rotated balanced and aligned. They're also going to give me an estimate for some damages I have and so far the price is much much better than I've seen elsewhere. They're not pushing anything on me like most the places in Florida. For instance, the dealer wants to replace my mother-in-law's tires that are in the yellow. They've got 20,000 mi on them and they're rated at 70,000, mi. But they're trying to scare the old lady and take advantage of them. I don't trust the dealers around here. Sorry, I'm from California, Hawaii, Colorado, Florida and Arizona. I've never had a worse experience than dealers in Florida. Highly recommend this place

They said, while I don't have to replace them right now, I should consider it in the next couple months. They were quoting me around $1300. I only drive this car about 4k miles a year. I had heard good things about Mavis and decided to drop in on a Saturday to ask them to look at my tires. The manager was able to come outside and look at my tires. He said, yes they have minor cracking but nothing urgent. He asked about how much I drove the car, etc. I also have run flat tires (it came with them) and he said - based on how I drive and how much, that I probably shouldn't replace with the run flats. That I could save some money, also, given how little I drive it. I don't need super high mileage tires, as they'll rot before I wear them out. He said, as much as I'd like to sell you tires right now - I'd be doing you a disservice. I SO APPRECIATED his honesty. I told him when I do need new ones, I'll definitely come back to them. He told me come back in about 6 months so they can check them again. I asked for a ball park on a full set of tires and he told me maybe $800-900. I was just really impressed with their honesty and integrity. I will be taking my car there when it's ready for new tires. They also do all kinds of repairs too. Once I'm outside my warranty, I'd definitely consider them for service.
