I would recommend this place if you have no issues with getting your repaired items 90 days later. The work itself isn't bad; but they are slow as molasses. On top of that never trust the price they quote you. They quoted me $115 to bind my Louis Vuitton purse. Want to know what I ended up paying? $165!!! At this point I have had 6 pairs of shoes (1 pair of sneakers) repaired in the past 4 months with no issues. I brought in some barn boots made by Timberland ...quite filthy from years of horse barn activity... but they fit so well I figured it was worth repairing them. Well, now they look like new...and they are even shiny... This presents a new problem because they look like they just came from a retail store brand new... and probably don't deserve barn treatment... I apologized to the person behind the counter about their dirty state. He told me that they would charge $20 just to clean them before they could start work on them... so I hesitated and thought about the option to take them home and clean them and bring them back just for repair. It was nice to have that option...but I did end up leaving them for cleaning and repair. They did an extraordinary job! read more

I needed three shoe repairs. I chose this location because I spotted it in a convenient location and I didn't know of another at the immediate time. The price seemed a little high for each of the repairs that I needed, so I left two shoes for repair and took the third with me. I found another shoe repair in the area for the third pair so I'd be able to compare and decide on my go to spot... This isn't it! The second place gave me a better initial feeling, and (comparing the service, price, and quality of the repairs at pick up) I should have followed my gut feeling and gone back to get the two I left here for repair... I wasn't thrilled with the service when I dropped off or picked up my shoes. Each of my repairs looked like they may come undone at any point. I immediately reinforced one of the repairs myself as soon as I got home. There is better quality repair and pride in workmanship available for a cheaper price. read more

I took my large Bottega Veneta tote in for an internal, magnetic snap closure and the bag was completely destroyed. When I dropped it off, I had a comprehensive conversation about my request and my expectations. They acknowledged that they could provide what I was requesting. I left feeling confident. When I picked up my bag, I was shocked at it's state. When I tried to collaborate on a solution, I was met with a very passive approach to customer service. There was no interest in remedying the problem on the part of the purveyor. I went to Cobblestone Shoe Hospital on a recommendation. I flew into DFW for a funeral, and needed wing tips and another pair of dress shoes polished. The gentleman was courteous and willing to help at 8:30 in the morning. He offered to condition the shoes as well, and replaced the laces on one pair while I waited. During my wait, customers came in who the gentleman greeted warmly and by name. I would recommend LA for a shine either in Dallas or at his Fort Worth location. read more

I'm not very happy whatsoever with my experience here. I will not come back again. I dropped off my shoe 10/24/14 and pre-paid for the repair as I normally do at places because I don't want to worry about paying when I pick up. I received a call saying they could not fix my shoe accordingly because of the material. That's fine, no problem there. They would do something else and charge me only $12 and credit the remainder back as I initially paid $19 or so. That's fine. I go to pick up my shoe on 11/18/14 and it appeared as if they "attempted" to glue some of the fabric down... It was already coming up, I could've done this myself. I mentioned it and she said no charge... I told her I previously paid and she owed me the balance. She said I did not pay, there is no record. She treated me as if I was lying and eventually said she will look into it and call me back... I'm really disappointed with the service received. I will be taking my business down the street to another shoe repair next time around or just go back to my sweet spot in Richardson at the Shoemaker! read more

Do not use this location! The woman that has been running the Preston one for years has quit & things have gone downhill fast. I just picked up a Bottega Veneta bag that needed one of the straps sewn back on & it was sewn half an inch shorter than the other side. The young male cobbler unfortunately was standing at the counter & refused to fix it. He was downright nasty. It looks terrible. I have gone to this location for years, but not anymore. Their prices are hit or miss. When the work is shoddy and ruins your items it is time to find another cobbler. read more

Horrible customer service, over charged, damaged my boots, and would not recommend them to anyone. They polished boots after I instructed them not to clean or polish just put new sole on. The lady hung up on me then said it was my fault for hanging up and I told her ma'am I was talking when you hung up on me! The last wrote me a price for 69 but when I picked up boots they were 87 total? Wrong!! Then when boots were sat on counter they sat crooked and not flat they said it was cause of how I walked BUT even then a boot with a new sole should sit flat and not crooked. The boot looked like it was a high heel shoe after they put new sole on. So I sent them back to be repaired and they were OK 2nd time and they did refund me my 15 but I still will not send anyone to the company again. read more

I took a pair of sandals to the Preston location. A couple of straps needed to be adjusted to offer more support. LA was very helpful and extremely detailed, he spent an hour with me, evaluating what he thought needed to be done, actually getting down on the floor with a ruler and measuring how much of each strap needed to be cut and restitched. I told him I think I've been to doctors that didn't pay that much attention to detail. The shoes turned out great. read more
