First, waitress wasn't very friendly. Ordered chicken quesadilla for an app. Was good till I bit into a piece of chicken that wasn't fully cooked. Along with our app, she brought us 2 small plates, one was dirty( will add pic). I ordered a Reuben panini, was decent but expected it to somewhat look like the picture, was on some type of sub looking bread. Boyfriend ordered a bacon cheese burger which he said was ok. Was our first time there, don't think we will be back.

Booth seating is comfortable... But at some point you have to eat the food and that's where the wheels come off the pink Cadillac. I ordered a simple plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries and "indulged" my love for pancakes with one. The overall flavor profile goals here appear to be bland as inspiration. No flavor, no effort beyond putting foodstuffs on a grill. The potatoes are sliced thin then they must be piled high in a corner of the grill waiting their turn to be consumed. Would it hurt to dice an onion or bell pepper to give your peeled russets some flavor besides oil? The pancake? Let's just say, Smuckers syrup in sealed plastic tubs like you were getting them at McDonald's or some fast food joint. Gross. The cakes themselves are lumps of glutenous goo that somehow have even less flavor than the bland home fries. This is a place that values quantity over quality, period. If you are a member of the "Clean Plate Club," you will leave with a full stomach of calorie containing food like substance. As a self-appointed American style diner lover, I have to say, steer clear. If you are in this area looking for breakfast and your only other choice the sad Michaels diner in Douglassville, this is marginally better but you will probably be just as happy if you go to Wawa for breakfast. Probably happier because your expectations will be properly aligned. This place is fun to look at but not to eat at.

Hubs and I went on an early, humid stroll in the park, to then take on breakfast. He was delighted by the surprise of a diner and me initiating the suggestion (as by my reviews, breakfast is not really My thing.). Except this diner is not Diner Breakfast! Way more!! We arrived today around 8:30am and were seated in the quiet back room. Our server attended to us quickly, was kind and cheerful throughout, and filled my husband's coffee to the brim multiple times. We ordered our breakfast and it took about 15-20 minutes to arrive. The food was so fresh!! Table orders included the Creamed Chipped Beef atop a Belgian Waffle with a side of Scrapple. And the Lyndon Benedict with Hash Browns. The chipped beef was creamy, not overly salted, actually pretty light. The waffle was fantastic. Slightly sweet, fluffy and thick! The scrapple, fried well. The Lyndon Benedict was so spot on! The hollandaise was well put, not broken not lemony, a nice accomplishment to the perfectly poached egg, with a gorgeous, bright orange, drippy center. Oozed to the sautéed spinach, well done bacon and puffy English Muffin (a real one- not Thomas's). Crisp potato bed of hash browns. This is not a greasy spoon, this diner is dynamite!! We loved our start to Sunday!!

We were so excited to try out this restaurant bc of its classic chrome design. It was clean, and…read morethe waitress was very nice. It was packed w 60+-year-olds; people who are our age. I ordered a chicken parm meal from the senior menu and chose the lobster bisque as my soup. It was exceedingly thick and gloppy. It was basically a very thick and heavy flour paste w a hint of artificial lobster flavor. It seemed that the bits in the paste were pieces of artifical lobster. I asked if I could please have the soup replaced w what the waitress had said was red pepper soup. What came out was a beef rice soup w small chunks of green pepper. I had a few spoonfuls, but found that it, too, was unappetizing w bloated, mushy rice and weak flavor. My chicken parm came out: a rubbery, uncoated chicken breast w a red sauce and one melted slice of parm or provolone on it. The sauce tasted terrible. My husband tried it and said it tasted like the cleaner Fabuloso. He was right!! My husband said his burger was very good. Our daughter got chicken nuggets and fries, but she wasn't hungry so she got them to go. We were so disappointed bc we love diners and hope to move to Boyertown to be near our son's family. We thought the Americana might become a favorite. We spent $40+ for one good meal, one eh meal, and one yucky one.

Country diner feel, nothing spectacular, you feel like you are home. You can see the regulars coming through and that's always a good sign. Our server seemed both rushed and annoyed in general. Like I said, I don't know if it's because they were short handed. We never got any coffee or water refills and it seemed like the order when it came out was a struggle. We had ordered hashbrowns for my daughter and they never came. The food is what you would expect from a diner vibe. Some really exceptional, some not so much. The pancakes were obviously a selling point, my wife's waffle was delicious. The sausage and scrapple were great for this kind of establishment. Bacon was stale and cold. The sunny eggs were actually cooked perfectly, which I never expect from anywhere, so kudos on that. The fresh fruit selection was bananas and thawed frozen blueberries. So you get what you get. Overall, stick to the pancakes, sausage and scrapple, steer clear of any fresh fruit options and don't expect much from the service if you aren't a regular. I'd still go back and try other menu options.
