Stopped here because my husband was craving "diner" food. It was a great idea. First, everyone who greeted us was so nice. Second, the food was amazing. Third, there were 6 of us and we ate for $80. I didn't ask, but I'm pretty sure that everyone that works there is family. We even had people who weren't working come speak to us. As far as the food goes, it was delicious And fast. Between us, we had chicken parmigiana, Mac and cheese, French fries, stuffed grape leaves, liverwurst sandwich, grilled cheese, salad bar, gyro, and Philly cheesesteak. There wasn't even anything left for a to go box. And that wasn't Because there wasn't a lot of food. It was just so good we couldn't stop eating. Been coming here for many years now, since I was young and the food has definitely fell off. I've had many good experiences here, as well as bad but I always tend to go back due to the food being relatively cheap, the restaurant being open 24 hours and the overall nostalgia. Their breakfast food is definitely some of the better options, some of my personal favorites are there pancakes, cream chipped beef and chicken noodle soup, but be aware sometimes the eggs seem to be a little uncooked, and the alfredo is awful. Overall I believe the food is decent, all depending on what you get though, but it is cheap and you can get it at any hour of the night, and the service is normally good, but keep in mind some servers are much more friendly then others. read more

I hate to say it, but Michaels has gone downhill over the years. The food is mediocre at best. I can't remember having a decent meal in the past six or seven times I've been there. Stoped by today just to have salad bar because how could you mess that up? Tuna salad had hardly any tuna in it and had no flavor. Pasta salad tasted like wet noodles no flavor. First, waitress wasn't very friendly. Ordered chicken quesadilla for an app. Was good till I bit into a piece of chicken that wasn't fully cooked. Along with our app, she brought us 2 small plates, one was dirty( will add pic). I ordered a Reuben panini, was decent but expected it to somewhat look like the picture, was on some type of sub looking bread. Boyfriend ordered a bacon cheese burger which he said was ok. I've never been to this particular Michael's before, and won't revisit. I walked in, and no one was at the counter, so i grabbed a large dine in menu. As I'm looking at it, a guy walks in, and now a waitress comes overand engages him. He orders a fountain drink, which, she gets fit him, he pays for it and leaves. Meanwhile I'm at the counter with this big a*s menu in plain view looking it over, and no interaction yet. I look at the waitress, she looked at me, (remember, I'm right there at the register where she just rang the guy up, although i was there first) and then she walked away. The place literally had 2 people at tables, but I was not engaged, welcomed, spoken to, not once. I looked around at the dismal salad bar, although the food was in containers sitting on ice, it did not look like a good idea to eat, unless you were chancing salmonella or worse. Inwardly i was thankful that she hadn't engaged me. I placed the menu back and departed all the more happier, keeping my money to supreme in an establishment that will appreciate my business. This was the worst visit to this dinner we've had by far . My food wasn't cooked and when I asked to just take the meal back and remove it from my bill the female owner refused to take the whole meal off my bill mind you the only thing I did eat was a small plate of salad waiting for my meal. I was charged $9 dollars for this small plate of lettuce with three cucumbers and half of spoon of bacon bites. And was yelled at by how much she lost by me not eating the meal. My family and I went into this place sometime as much as 4 times a month spending nothing less then $80-100 each visit.. hey owner of this dinner you lost way more then that meal. Large menu with pictures of beautiful plated items - don't let that fool you! My husband ordered the prime rib, I ordered broiled scallops in butter. While waiting we went to the "soup and salad bar" aaaaaaack! Everything was runny or dried up! The salad dressings were vomitous! Every salad (macaroni/pasta) tasted exactly the same - gross! Hospital food tastes better than this! We get our meals and wow - I got SIX - yes SIX small broiled scallops on a HUGE meat plate and yep, that was it! $14.99 for this????? I rushed over here on a recent Friday evening for the shrimp on the salad bar and behold, upon entering and looking over at the salad bar, NO SHRIMP???? The hostess advised me that the shrimp will be put on a certain night, by surprise only. I was shocked and surprised. I thought about leaving but I do like all of the Greek influences on the salad bar here. I was quickly seated and my waitress was great as she refilled my ice water many times during my meal. She was "right on" when it came portion sizes of certain entrees. I ordered the Crab Imperial (Krab Imperial) and although very tasty, very little or no real crab. Ok, what do you expect for $9.99. And that price included the salad bar, 1 vegetable , and ice cream or pudding. The salad bar was how I remembered except there was no feta cheese. The corn bread looked good but was somewhat dry from sitting out all day? The vegetables were all fresh and the house dressing was wonderful. The clam chowder was more potatoes than clams but tasty. This diner has potential for me to rate it as high as 5 stars and I will try to "stop-in" on the "surprise" shrimp night and order a steak, as originally planned. read more

Kid friendly place. They have a salad bar, which seems pretty rare now a days, but it is great, something different. Food is good. Staff was friendly. Very affordable. There was 6 in our group and the bill was the same as if we went to a chain with just my wife and 2 kids. I would certainly recommend this place for a family dinner. read more

Stopped in at Michael's on Saturday night for an early dinner. We were seated right away and then greeted by our friendly waitress. I ordered coffee and it came out in a thermal carafe. I really love when restaurants do this. I can refill my own cup when I'm ready and not feel like I have to gulp it down when the waitress comes around with the pot. My dinner was a patty melt with fries. The patty melt was very yummy with perfectly cooked onions. The fries were ok and there could have been a few more on the plate, but otherwise a really good meal. My husband had a western omelet with cheese. I think he enjoyed it, since he scarfed down everything on his plate ; ) The price for two was great - less than $20.00. Also, they have changed their flooring from carpet to tile. The tile is really nice, but if I were older and had difficulty walking, I would worry on rainy or snowy days. Looks great though. read more

Went there earlier today with a friend and the service we got was weirder than any other restaurant experience I've had to date. (and that's saying a lot) The entire time they were rushing us. We weren't even 20 minutes into eating. Barely ate anything on our plates yet because we were talking and catching up, and the waitress came over and asked if my friend wanted to box up her one plate that she was CLEARLY still eating off of. We said no we're still eating and she left, but not long before she came back and asked again if we were ok. We said "yes thank you" and she left again. Then AGAIN she came up and asked how we were doing and then left the check on the table, which we thought was weird because we didn't ask for the check, nor did we say we were done eating. Then randomly, the waitress that we had changed half way through our meal and then the NEW WAITRESS started coming over and harassing us. (it really felt like it was always in the middle of an important part of a conversation) She came over and asked if everything was ok. We said yes... again. At one point the waitress just came over and took away my friend's plate entirely. A plate, that I might add, SHE WAS STILL EATING OFF OF! She didn't even bother to ask if she wanted it boxed or if she was still eating from it. Randomly later on, the waitress comes over ((we're only about 45 minutes into eating. (I know this because we kept checking to see if maybe we were just there for too long)) and goes, "my shift is ending soon, do you guys need anything else before I leave?" and we were like, "no we're good thanks." And then she left. NOT EVEN FUCKING 5 MINUTES LATER the SAME waitress comes over with an older woman (I'm assuming either a manager or a higher up waitress) and the older woman goes, "I'm sorry she's leaving because her shift is done so is it ok if we just take the check and you pay right now? You guys can still sit here if you want but we need to cash the check because since she's leaving we need to close her register down." Which is something that's fucking NEW TO ME. First of all, I had to give this woman a tip that she didn't deserve because she WASN'T OUR WAITRESS let alone that they were harassing us the entire time we were there and making us uncomfortable. PLUS you pay at the entrance as you leave! YOU DON'T PAY AT THE TABLE HERE! But whatever right? We didn't want to start anything. So we just agreed and paid them and continued to eat. But I shit you not, the fucking BUS BOY was cleaning next to us for what felt like an unusual amount of time and kept giving us weird looks to the point of making us so uncomfortable that we just ended up leaving. I never want to eat there ever again. Which is a shame, because we grew up going to that diner all throughout Middle School and High School. Now as a 25 year old I feel as though I can safely say that I've not only had one of the weirdest dining experiences of my life, but I am also pretty sure I was discriminated against in some shape or form. My only guess is that they have a lot of teens dine and dash and just assumed we were much younger than we actually are because we have baby faces or something. But whatever, it was probably a fluke. Thought I had already written a review for them, but maybe it was on another site. Anyway have been here a couple times and have really enjoyed it!! Have had their gyro platter and Greek salad and their spanakopita. Food was wonderful and fresh and the service was friendly. Was served by the owner the first time who gave my friend and some history of the restaurant, very pleasant. Don't remember what my friend had since it was a while ago, but she also really enjoyed her meal. We both took home leftovers as the portions were ample. Yummmm!! read more

With the pandemic going on places being closed . They were the most welcoming and by far the nicest people Ive met.
