a breakfast of eggs and hash browns

Traveled from Lebanon county, and were very pleased. Server was friendly and nice and food came out quick, hot and yummy! The place was very clean. We went back this weekend, my hubby got the same and I tried a egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. It was yummy yummy, just like what I would have made for myself except I didn't have to make it and clean up...haha...please remember to support local businesses!!! And thanks to the restaurant owner and staff for sticking it out through these tough times! We appreciate you all!

Nothing could be finer then the 5th street diner! 5th street as the locals call it has high quality diner food at low prices with a cool retro feel that brings you back to the 50's. When I lived in the area we would always stop by a few times a month for some fantastic diner food. 10 years later I see that place has not changed at all. The service is still great and food is still delicious. Really anything that you order on the menu here is going to be good. We stopped by on Thanksgiving day because well, diners just never close and I wanted to take my wife to at true diner and not a Waffle house ( we live in Tx). The diner that popped in my head with 5th st. I'm really glad I took her here since she really enjoyed the whole experience. I ordered the crab cake eggs benedict and wow that was a show stopper. The crab cakes were cooked to perfection and the hollandaise sauce mixed well with the crab. I never heard of such a amalgamation of crab and egg but when I saw it, I knew I must eat it, and I'm glad I did. The wife ordered a spanish omelette was pretty good as well. If she was writing the review she might of given 5th st. four stars. But since I know the consistency of this place I'm giving it five. Lastly I still love the fact that you can play music at your table on the juke box and now that I have a child I noticed that the staff is super friendly towards kids. I really wanted to eat some desert that was by the counter, but it was turkey day so I had to save some room. Overall if you want a true diner experience then I highly recommend the 5th St diner.

Burrata Fritta is a generous sized and tasty fried cheese appetizer but, it only came with two small pieces of crustini so you'll end up eating most of it with a fork. Seared scallops tasted excellent as well but there was only 3 and they were the size of a 50 cent coin and about 3/8 of an inch thick. They were served over a generous bed of seasoned peas but, you are buying the scallops not the peas. Like I mentioned before, food tasted excellent there just could have been a little more thought out into appetizer creation. Entrees we selected were a just satisfying portion size and tasted excellent as well. We usually like to take home some of our main entrees for a later small meal but we ended up eating them both in restaurant. One thing important to note of importance to local diners is that entrees do not come with sides or salads. They must be ordered separately. Portions could have been maybe 8% to 10% bigger. I am not complaining but rather suggesting. I will definitely go back again to try some of the other entrees offered.

Not a huge place, but it looks to have a separate seating area towards the front where they can open the windows and get some nice Weather to come inside based on their name of course we had to get a couple cocktails so we each got a margarita they were massive and reasonably priced since it was $.85 wing day we took advantage and tried five different types. Happy to see they are offering Bell and Evans, but the downside is they are extremely small wings, but very crispy and flavorful except for the roasted garlic option. Those were bland as can be, but my Chipotle Cinnamon, which is more of a dry rub were fantastic as were the Cajun Ranch which had sauce. The hot were not extremely hot and their special was a strawberry Sriracha, which were amazing. Super friendly waitress taking great care of us, but towards the end of our meal, she was cleaning and disappeared for a bit so we had to wait some time to get our bill. No problem, we are in no rush. I would gladly return time and time again to try some more menu items, a real gem in the middle of nowhere.

The drinks are served up strong and service by our server tonight, Grace, was very attentive. Every time we come here we order the crispy potstickers appetizer and we agreed that their fried pickles are the best we've had anywhere. The dill dipping sauce that comes with the fried pickles is the bomb. My husband loves burgers and it's not always easy to find places that actually serve great burgers, but tonight he said "this is delicious!" Our server, Grace, was friendly, helpful and paid attention to the right time when to offer another drink or see if we want anything else. The music playing is a mix of genres so there's something for everyone and we enjoy it. They play it at the perfect volume. Loud enough to hear it well but not so loud that we can't hear each other talk. And, the outdoor patio seating is dog friendly! Reading some of the other reviews, I am baffled that people are leaving three and four stars when they have nothing but raving positive things to say (awesome, fantastic, etc) about the food, drinks, ambiance and service. That makes a place worthy of a five star review. Do yourself a favor and visit the Liberty Taproom!

I'll be honest, I didn't know much about this place going in, but I'm really glad I went and I'll definitely be back. Walking in, the first thing you'll notice is a beautiful, large fish tank built right into the wall on your right. The restaurant is dim and upscale-feeling, but still very family-friendly and not loud or overstimulating, so you can actually have a conversation. They have both booths and tables, and the space is very open and spread out. As a parent, you can even strategically seat your family in view of the fish tank or the windows to give the kids something to look at. It's great for a casual family dinner, a date night, or even a birthday celebration. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with no ramps, you can roll right in to your table. It's located in a plaza but set apart, so parking was never an issue. Plenty of spots, including handicap parking up front with just a short walk to the entrance. They have a solid variety on the menu including alligator bites, burgers, pasta, salads, and more. It is on the higher end price wise. Most entrees start around $14 and up, and even the kids meals begin at $8.90. The cocktail menu is extensive and the dessert menu is worth a look too. They also have a lunch menu where prices vary a bit more favorably. I ordered the Coastal Cheddar cheeseburger burger with no tomatoes and it was excellent. Very fresh, well seasoned, and served with shoestring fries that were equally on point. They also bring out a ciabatta loaf with butter to start, which was a really nice touch. Food came out quickly (always a plus). The staff is genuinely incredible. There's a tag team mentality where anyone on the floor can help you, refill your drink, or check on your table. My server was very attentive, and even when they got busy someone always stepped in. No reservations needed, at least when I went which was on a Sunday around 1pm. Highly recommend!

My favorite was the Lobster Bisque. It was creamy and deliciously balanced. The clam chowder tasted like "old soup" as per my daughter's review. It was OK, but did taste like it was canned and therefore we didn't eat more than a few spoonfuls of it. (The crab and lobster soups were gone.) We both thoroughly enjoyed the gator bites. They were well prepared and very tender. My daughter enjoyed stated that she was surprised it reminded her more of chicken than what she had expected. The dipping sauce added a nice touch and was not too peppery or spicy. It was well balanced. The seafood gnocchi was filling and flavorful. My daughter enjoyed it and had enough leftover for another meal the next day. I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster roll and ate the whole thing. There was an abundance of fries, which I did not eat. They were good, but did have a bit more of a greasiness than I prefer. The drinks were typical Coke products, which wait staff were attentive to keeping filled. The ambiance is a great place for a casual quality meal with family, friends, work colleagues, or a date. The salt water tank in the "lobby" is always nice to look at. The place is always clean and well maintained. The booths are spacious and you can talk comfortably without being crowded by other patrons. I love this place because the food is always good and the atmosphere is calming with the dim lighting.
