Every time I go in there the store is clean and the staff is friendly. Had my daughters birthday there recently and Annette was super helpful. Service is poor. Forced to use difficult quick check which asks too many questions, never gets bonus points, older lady stands at front and talks too much to non customers and avoids helping customers. I will never go back to this Michaels again. read more

This was my first time doing a pickup order at Michael's, and I arrived a little early because I didn't realize it was a timed process. I came to pick up something for my infant son's grave, so it was already an emotional visit for me. Unfortunately, the employee Jody was extremely rude -- she rolled her eyes and made me feel like I was a burden instead of a customer. It was very disappointing to be treated that way, especially under the circumstances. On a positive note, Malachi was wonderful and showed excellent customer service. He was patient, kind, and helped me with genuine understanding. I truly appreciated his professionalism and compassion. Overall, I left with mixed feelings -- grateful for Malachi's help but very upset by how Jody handled the situation. I hope management addresses this so no one else has to feel that way. read more

First time at this location. Lots of sales on Christmas items marked down to 70% and also some discounts on valentines decor. Used a $5 reward I received on line before we got to Vegas Ask the kind employee by the photo section to let you into the restroom if nature calls. Big easy aisles to delight your crafter's browse then choose and add to the wagon. As usual spent $100+ but it's okay cuz I haven't hit up any slot machines... yet. read more

This review is aimed solely at the framing department of Michael's on Lake Mead, and even more specifically at my absolute FAVORITE framer, Regina. We recently had a Star Wars print (signed and sketched upon by artist Dave Dorman) framed here at Michael's with Regina's help. She treated our art with the respect it deserved, but even more, instantly knew the frame to use to match the content of the art. Her choice was perfect. Her explanation of the different types of glass and how they affect and protect the art was easy to understand, and she demonstrates them without ever being pushy. It's obvious that Regina does her job well, and I believe much of that extends from the passion she demonstrates towards preserving art and its collectibility. Michael's has a true asset in their framing department with Regina. My wife and I look forward to entrusting her with further frame jobs for our most precious artworks and autographed items. read more

I paid nearly $300 for custom framing. I expected a quality job. Sadly, what I expected and what I got did not align. I took one look at the work and noticed multiple ripples/pockets of air? under the print. The sales rep agreed that it was poorly done-So now they have to fix it and I have to go back to the store. I will NEVER shop at Michael's again. Their prices are also quite expensive and they do very poor custom framing. read more

This is the new location (the old one was a few blocks, away, and on the other side). It is like a tee-pee. From outside, it looks small. But it is deep, goes back. It is very white and bright, kind of like Sephora, so everything inside kind of pops. I went straight to the beads, which is the far left, against the demo/ instruction room. There was a special on certain strands (there are several price points). Since I already have an extensive collection, I was specifically looking for beads that I didn't have, and that looked quite different. I found a few strands that fit the bill. Like most grocery stores (but all the other stores have adopted this marketing ploy), the area near the checkout line, have all kinds of attention-getting items, trying to lure you into buying more things, hahaha, conspicuous consumption. There were a few other customers in line. But checkout was quick. I was just glad to find something I liked (on sale) and got out without browsing (we had a few other stores in the immediate area to visit). read more

Hoorayyyy for Michaels!!!! Summerlin Plaza is a great area for Michaels especially from where they came from just down the street. I believe this store will do great business here. Unfortunately I missed my chance for the first to review. Why I say this is because I'm shocked at the less then 5 star reviews below. I challenge anyone who needs a craft store to come here and tell me you can't find what you're looking for. As you can see in my photos this place has you covered. I'm going to keep it 100. If we want to save money whether it be buying a car or crafts. We need to advocate and look for ways to save. In response to Helene's review. I have saved so much money here using their online or paper coupons. There is not one time I have not gotten a discount. I wished I would have saved my receipts to show, but I'll show coupons. If you don't want to spend that much on Silk flowers you can always walk down the sidewalk to the 99 cent store, you get what you pay for. There are very few arts & crafts store in the city, and most of the time Michaels has what I'm looking for plus the company consistently offers really good coupons. This would be the first visit to this new location, but I've been shopping at Michaels stores for decades. If I can't find it here, then I typically just buy online. This review might be more generous post covid-19 but I know everyone's experience is different. I was given the task to try and match a necklace which was needed to shoot a video. The necklace had to look the same since we were supposed to be pretending everything was filmed on the same day. Given I'm not the creative type, this was not my cup of tea but I was sent to michaels to buy supplies. I was hoping to go there and just find a similar necklace but everything was very picked over and empty. Not only did I read that they just had a bead sale, but I'm sure everyone bored at home is looking for new hobbies. The task to recreate this necklace was a lot for me and given the options of necklace making I needed some help. I couldn't get anyone in the store to help me since the two employees working were both on the register. I waited 15 minutes and just couldn't wait anymore due to my time constraints and I bought a bunch of beads and left. I had NO idea that 8 stings of beads and some line would be $80 but I guess that's how it goes. In the end I was able to recreate what I needed but I really could have used an employees help. When I got home the string that I bought wasn't the match for some beads which I guess most people know but I didn't. read more

Well as you may know I'm recovering from a terrible cold. I am still pretty weak seeing as how I spent 2 weeks in bed (first had food poisoning!). So when I was circling this store trying to find help I was getting more and more upset. I went to the front of the store to find one cashier working. She immediately called someone to help me. The woman that helped me wasn't wearing anything that showed she worked there so I have no idea who she was. She was quite rude, literally not saying one damn word to me. Now mind you I was upset but I never let anyone know that. I knew that I was more upset because I was weak and struggling. Now I had already circled the store trying to find where I needed to be in the first place and then not finding what I needed in that spot I circled the store trying to find help. Now when this woman comes along to help me she literally hauls ass to where I need to be so I had to haul ass to follow her. Ugh! So I settle on something, as I felt I was doing with just about everything there, and headed to check out. And what are you know, the line is ridiculously long though there was anybody there when I walked up to get help. Figures right? There is only one cashier and it was taking unbelievably long for a person to check out. This line started to became kinda hostile but we all kept it together and made it out of there. I am an artist and I do love Michael's though I very rarely ever shop there. I don't like to shop. I never have and I never will. This store is very ugly and disorganized. And it looks to me like they tried to fit a much larger store into a smaller one. And btw... These stores never catch a clue on this. The paint. Artists will always use more white than any other color! But yet they are always sold out! I swear I would prefer crafting section of Walmart before I would return here. Why 3 stars then? Because I took massive advantage of those beautiful sales on canvases. read more

I was happy to see that Michael's had moved to their new location. But I wasn't happy that I couldn't get what I needed. I was on a quest to replace my cork bulletin board, originally bought there when I first moved to Vegas. Oh, Michael's had cork bulleting boards, but they were all framed. Mine isn't. I need all the space that my current one has, but the frame on anything close to that size cut down on the usable space. And this is why brick and mortar stores are struggling. Selection has become so limited that buyers have almost no choice but to buy online. Michael's is certainly not the worst offender (ya hear me, Bed Bath and Beyond?), but the inability to replace something I had bought there was annoying. Only reason I'm giving it three stars is that I was actually able to find help on the floor, a rarity. read more

If you're wondering if something is in stock, you might as well just go because they'll put you on hold for 16 minutes and never answer. I just wanted to know if they had a color of yarn in stock but since I didn't know the item number off the top, my head I got put on hold until someone could help me after 16 minutes I kind of gave up and went myself. They didn't have it, and didn't have a big selection of the Caron one pound colors. The store wasn't busy so I don't see how I ended up on hold for so long when I had one question. read more

This is sad for me to write as this was always my go to Michaels, I have been coming here at least once a week for the past 4 years I've lived here, and have used Michaels as my craft store my entire life. However, after this experience - I will be taking my business somewhere else after my experience on 12/13/21 when I was a victim of profiling. While I was looking at supplies, I noticed the markers had been left a complete mess, as I began to help put back what was all over the ground (trying to help as it was close to closing time - and the holidays), I was approached by a young black employee with an afro (this is for you management) - who I tried to laugh with by making light of the situation saying "these markers don't seem to stay! haha" - he responded in the most judgmental tone, "that's what happens when you take them all out" implying that I WAS THE ONE WHO HAD CAUSED THE MESS. (I'm assuming he's new because who doesn't test out markers before you buy them? that's specifically why the 2 notepads are there - to test with) However, the worst part came next when he; without any type of question, began to accuse me of shoplifting the markers I had already placed in my cart to purchase. This being due to the fact that these markers I was buying had been placed in my cart, on TOP of my purse (which was completely zipped up - meaning that the markers were entirely in clear view, completely in the open, not hidden whatsoever, and there would be absolutely NO reason to ever possibly think that I would be trying to take them without payment) I have shopped at every Michaels store state to state for over a decade like this due to the fact their pens & markers will otherwise continuously just fall out of the bottom holes in the cart... which *surprise* THEY DID - right as soon as I moved my cart. He clearly saw what I meant & offered absolutely no remorse or apology - even though he obviously knew he was in the wrong. Even after making me feel as though I was some type of criminal... he decided to follow me around the store & WATCHED me from the side aisle as I paid for my $70 worth of supplies at the register (as if I needed to STEAL A MARKER.) I truly still cannot believe how I was treated, and I'm honestly deeply hurt by it, Michaels has always been my retail therapy go to, but instead, I left the store in tears. NEVER will I return to this store. Employees obviously care less about the shoppers experience & will make you feel like you are scum when you did nothing. Clearly management needs to do something about their employees or I'm sure they will continue to lose more customers with employees treating them like I was treated. read more

A recent store relocation has brought a bigger, better and more extensive Michaels to the area! Michaels is a staple for me anyway, as a DIY enthusiast and creative weirdo, so I was excited to hear that they would be upsizing to a larger space. So far, only having visited once, I am loving it! A vast amount of product that you can usually expect from Michaels, from wood to jewellery, seasonal items to framing, baking to garden pieces, if you dream up an idea of something you want to make, you can be sure that this store will have what you need to see it through! I love that the extra space has enabled them to build a large classroom for teaching sessions and that they still offer all the amenities such as an inventory checker online, customer pick up and clearance, just as they did before. Customer service is always great as far as I have experienced, the only difficulty sometimes can be to find someone to help you, as the store is so big, so you can feel that the amount of associates available to help are fewer and far between. As far as pricing, I must disagree for the mostpart with the opinion that it's too high. There are always deals, promotions in store and coupons available online, or sent directly to your email if you have a loyalty account. If not, open one instore! It's done me nothing but justice! The old white woman that works in the framing section has THE WORSE attitude and customer service when it comes to female costumers. However when men customers ask for her assistance she goes out and beyond to make sure she helps and answers all their questions. I had the worse experience dealing with her. She was not helpful, did not answer my questions and if and when she did it t was with a horrible tone and attitude. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I arrived to the front doors two minutes after closing. The lady standing at the door on the inside, letting customers out, spoke to me through the closed doors. She said they were closed. I asked what time it was and she looked down at her watch and said 7:02. They apparently close at 7. Her name was TANYA and I let her know that I literally needed ONE ITEM and I knew EXACTLY where it was. Now, normally, I understand that they can't make exceptions for people otherwise they'll have to let everyone in after closing and then they won't close. But Tanya proceeded to tell me they were closing their registers and there was no way I could run inside really quickly. Yet, she was actively letting customers out as they were finishing their transactions. Clearly the registers were still open. The reason for the review is her ATTITUDE. I could let it go really easily had she been nice or conciliatory about it. But she actually seemed to relish in the fact that she got to close me out 2 minutes after they closed. She was also cheerily saying goodbye to the customers she was letting out as she was sternly shaking her head at ME! TANYA- how do you think that makes someone feel? Obviously you don't care. I don't think the rules don't apply to me, but you don't have be downright petty when you're applying them. Also, you have repeatedly come on here and sent "compliments" where you write nasty messages to me because of this review. Pretty sure that's harassment. I wonder what Michael's corporate would think about that... and it also just proves my point that you were rude just to be rude if you're going to the trouble to do this. Tall, thin, African American woman who was very helpful and took time with each guest that had questions. She helped me with an item that was missing a price tag and I didn't feel like I was inconveniencing her. She also greeted the guests and cleaned all the carts. It was a great experience. read more

I have been to plenty of different Michaels locations in various cities, and I will say I really do enjoy this specific store. What I noticed about this one is how clean the store looks. I have been to some locations where you can tell the building is old and everything inside looks crowded. I didn't have that problem here. Just have to update my review because I couldn't be happier with the customer service during COVID-19! I did the online delivery option from this location recently and noticed that one item was missing. I called right away and was directed to the manager. I wish I got her name but she was just the absolute sweetest! She was the one who put my order together and thought she had put them all together. She was so kind about everything. I asked if I can just have my husband pick up the item from curbside pick up because I would have to call a 1-800 number to wave a delivery fee. Lol Christmas decorating, I definitely had no patience to call another number because I was just too excited to get my tree done. My husband goes there and picks up the item for me then mentions that she was just the nicest person. I seriously love this location even more! She made the 5 star review happen.
