Went to purchase some paper to make signs for work and flowers to make a flower headboard prop. They were having a spring flower sale 70% percent off!!! Also, their Halloween decorations had such a variety from fun and trendy, to romantic and elegant. Store was well organized.

9/10/24 By the 3rd store, I found it!! Envelope templates!!! Yes!

9/10/24 I was on a MISSION! Need envelope templates! For my hobby, card crafting, I was making envelopes the old fashioned way, by hand without implements, with the exception of a pair of scissors & a pencil. After visiting my creative cousin, she showed me her envelope templates && how much easier would it be to make them this way, faster too! The one I found at this Michaels location has 6 sizes by Recollections. I went to the Michaels in Lakewood & the Hobby Lobby next to it. After finding this item. I didn't care about anything else because the search was finally over. I still can't find my embosser though by Sizzix. This Michaels store is in the Long Beach town Center, surrounded by multiple stores (Walmart, Lowe's, Total Wine, Old Navy) & food places (In n Out, Carls Jr. Del Taco. Islands) and of course the movie theater, Edward's. Parking can be a little hairy at busy hours. I like the layout here, it look organized & neat.

Thank you! I was shopping Sunday night and a young female associate helped me find the perfect tool for what I needed! The ruler with handle was perfect for spreading my top layer of cell activator, check out how cool my painting came out!!

This week we are gonna make horse plaques

Have multiple employees talking, but only one cashier when there are 8 people in line. Ridiculous.

The ambiance can get a bit loud since there are table games happening behind the counter, but it's not really distracting. It actually adds a bit of energy to the place. The staff member who helped me had really good vibes, which made the visit even better. Definitely worth checking out if you're into cards. I'd recommend going in the afternoon when it's less busy so you can get the best experience and they value the card based on TCG player price!

Body language, eye contact, and tone are lacking. I understand the hobby demographic is not high class, but from the 4 visits I've had, the employees behind the counter show less care and attention. Probably a generational issue, but in business, that doesn't matter. Proper training should be issued. Though I am also sure they would use AI to formulate a "proper" response to any concerns or complaints about what they lack. Value wise: I requested to match or get close to market value from TCG player on product, and they rejected it statong that they dont follow market since they have to make money too "you know what I mean?" This has been a trend on LGS it seems, however one LGS in Artesia/Cerritos met my request despite card/cash payment. I'm pretty sure the script would later be flipped when the market goes up after supply drops with the response of "sorry marketing value is this so we follow that." If you can ignore all that, go for it. Otherwise just look for another store or go to Card shows.

Bad service and poor communication…read more I've been trying to catalogue my MTG collection lately. I drove 40 min to get to this shop because they have a machine that scans your cards. I paid the shop to rent the machine and waited for 2 hours. Then the staff told me "We made a mistake setting this up. We can't give you the scanned info, but leave your cards behind and your email address, and we can send them over. You'll just need to scan this thing we send you." I was uncomfortable leaving my cards behind because they're important to me. But I didn't want to walk away empty-handed. So I decided to trust them and I left my cards behind. I didn't hear anything for 4 days. I had to call them and they said "Oh the employee you were talking to got sick. If you want to pick up your cards you can do that though." I asked "How about scanning my cards?" and they said "We'll message the sick employee and call you back to let you know what he says". I waited 3 more days and they didn't contact me at all. I realized they weren't going to reach out to me to resolve the issue, so I had to drive down to the store to demand my cards back. I don't know who the person running the back of the shop is. Maybe the manager. Maybe the owner. All I knew is that they had context on the whole situation and knew that I had returned to get my cards. They didn't bother to come over to talk to me. They didn't even give me eye contact. They didn't make even a single attempt at improving the situation. Not even an offer for store credit. Not even a sorry. They just shrugged and yelled across the room "machine's broken". Then they went back to puttering around and left another employee to deal with me. This other employee had no context on the situation. All she could do was hand me a cash refund and give me a confused "Sorry...?" I was treated like I was an annoyance. Someone who'd go away eventually if you ignored them. Not a respected customer who just wanted to do business. I'm not mad that the machine was allegedly broken. I'm only slightly mad that the employees aren't trained on how to use the machine. I'm frustrated that I paid for a service and they didn't bother seeing the job through to the end. They didn't communicate when they decided to give up. I trusted them with my personal card collection and they betrayed that trust. I don't even know if I have all my cards back, but I'll never know. Save yourself the stress.

I was interested in a gengar full art ex that had come out in a recent set and two people behind the counter were giving two drastically different prices. one would say the market price and the other would double the price of the card. i think that is super dishonest business especially when people are already in the store looking to spend some money. doubling the prices on people they think wouldnt question it is such a scummy way to make their profits. i say this because i noticed them doing it to a couple who had stated they were just getting into the hobby and were looking at the same gengar single i had passed on when the told me 16 dollars and told that couple it was 32. i believe the couple bought the card in the end and i wasnt able to tell them anything before they had left the building. terrible business practice if you are going here beware of prices and cross check on the prices yourself. there are several shops in the area and honestly you can pass on this one especially if you want a store that doesn't smell like body odor.

Now Finch and Sparrow will claim the box was not resealed, here are several significant indicators to prove it was resealed: 1. Two different types of hot glue were used in the sealing of the box. 2. Celebrations packs flaps were not sealed down. 3. One pack of Battle Styles did not have an energy card in it. 4. One pack of Celebrations had 3 of the same Lugia in it. All of the above mentioned aspects are definite indicators that the box had been resealed. Again, Finch and Sparrow denies this, so they will no longer be seeing me or anyone in my card collecting community. I'm glad it only cost me $180 to learn this lesson, as I usually spend much more. I wouldn't recommend Finch and Sparrow.
