This is the closest Michael's to me and it's fine in terms of the stock it has. I went in looking for photo albums and paint and the selection wasn't the best. Sally - manager Kailyn - associate These two employees are just the worst when it comes to the people industry. The absolute worst. No couth, no class. If I could give a negative star rating I would. And I don't think I've ever said that before. the associate started yelling at me and cursing at me and getting very "homegirl" with me... It was EXTREMELY odd. She even threatened me at one point.... Like trying to initiate a fight. I kept my composure and tone of voice the entire time because I really felt I was in the Twilight zone. Very very bizarre. It was very strange and she was at least 15 years younger than me. She charged me for some items that needed to be reversed and she didn't know how to do that. In the end, I had to wait about 15 days to get my money back and it was on my company card and company account so I had to later explain that to them. The associate above her came out and she was no better than kailyn. The way they treat their customers lets me know that this is something that happens quite often. There was just no real lever of responsibility or authority or dignity. The MAIN manager came out, (I don't remember her name), but she came out and helped the entire situation after I explained what happened. She said that they are not trained the behave as such and she's quite surprised that I experienced what I had. She said that she would handle the associate, Kailyn, afterwards. It was extremely strange what I experienced. If you don't have anybody that knows how to act in public they should not be behind a register the amount of insults I received from Kailyn was intolerable. I am going to have to contact corporate because I've never been verbally abused by a retail associate before... Especially after a mistake they did and for which never apologized. read more

I went today looking for thumb tacks. I walked around and around the store looking for them for a while and no one was working on the floor. After a while I got a little frustrated because I couldn't find what I was looking for and there was literally no one to help. Finally I went to the one person working in the store at the register who had a short line. I ask the nice person where they were and he tried to help but had customers so he couldn't walk me to them. I looked for a while longer but eventually gave up and walked out empty handed. Had a great experience at the Rosenberg location last week. Purchased a custom frame as a gift last week because we painted the room and the frame didn't match. When we got it home it did not match the decor as we thought. We brought it back to try again. I'm not good with names. But I think Brittany and Michelle were the 2 that helped me reselect a new frame and actually came out cheaper. Kudos to the framing team there. read more

Really good store had everything you could imagine as far as crafts/self projects. Overheard the cashier being rude to a customer that was having a hard time finding something she had already told her where to locate it. The gentleman working did ask me if I needed help finding anything. I was looking for a 2021 planner the ones here were $40 that seemed a pricy to me. read more

Yes, I did say that the Hobby Lobby across the highway was superior to this outlet, but I wouldn't write this Michaels off just yet. Though this store is a lot smaller than Hobby Lobby with a slightly limited selection, I was still able to find adorable block letters that run on batteries and light up (Yelp marketing booths and events are about to get brighter!) along with small, cheap chalkboards to make my booths and events look prettier. The shelves near the front of the store looked a bit sparse, but perhaps they were just in the middle of re-stocking. Other than that, it's a clean store that carries all your usual craft supplies at affordable prices. read more

Bought Halloween supplies at new store on university. I had a whole cart full of items. As I approached cashier was on phone. So I thought I'd save her a step and I wheeled my cart around to her so she could scan and bag purchases. She looked at me, pushed cart back around to me and said items have to be placed on the counter. So I started to offload. I said nothing to her about the move. As I placed items on counter, a foam item slipped off the mountain of items ( might have been a foam tombstone) and cashier exclaimed you threw that at me! My kids were with me, so I calmly said " I'm sorry you thought that, the item slipped off the pile". Her attitude sucked and tbh she has no business being the frontline of any company. I did say sarcastically but not loud. No wonder you are in retail. Which is rude because I know retail people who are great and love their jobs. So I own that comment. Maybe she should work the night shift at a convenience store??? Won't be back read more

The frame shop manager did a dismal job of keeping me informed about my "custom" frame order that I went in for my picture and a refund. Custom isn't really custom other than size of the frame. Why the 4 stars you ask? Jennifer the store manager was bending over backwards to keep my business. She offered every solution to my problem that was possible. I still have to go home and pull out the router and miter saw to get what I want, but Jennifer kept a customer today. read more

I was in the seasonal section recently and the peculiar thing happened. A big dog was with their owner and urinated all over the decorative flowers. It smelled quite poorly, I could smell it through my mask. Nobody cleaned it up for the duration that I was in store. I was so disgusted, I left my cart and left immediately. read more

I love this store but their coupons are pointless. They exclude almost everything in the store I got a 40% off one regular priced item I picked out an item that was regular priced and was told by the cashier that I couldn't use the coupon because it's an everyday priced item and coupon excludes everyday prices. Nothing stated on the label that is was an everyday price. So don't wast your time with the coupons because you're not saving anything because you won't be able to use it, since they exclude everything. read more
