    Assorted acrylics

I came here recently to buy items for an arts and crafts project for work. They had a huge selection paint and acrylics along with brushes, paint dishes in a variety of sizes and also holiday decor. I was impressed at how they even had items less than the Dollar Tree such as the paint dishes. I had called prior to coming asking if they had specific items that I was looking for. A sales associate answered and was very friendly and helpful. In fact, she assured me that I could get her help once I arrived at the store. Excellent customer service from all the staff bc as I continued to browse I asked other sales associates for help and they were all able to help me. So- kudos to the hard-working staff at this store! There was just a couple of items that they did not have such as soil for planting, in which they had ceramic pots and other gardening projects. They also did not have large rocks for painting. Overall, the people at work for whom I purchased the items were all very pleased with the material for the fun project we did that day.

Michael's is my go-to for all things crafts! I used to live in this store during my sorority days and forgot how amazing this store is! I recently hosted a 'Saltburn' themed party (iykyk) and they had all the things I needed to decorate! They always have great sales too! Clean store, friendly staff, great parking and so many crafting supplies to choose from! Love it here!

I go here for one or 2 things in sale because the deals are always good! LOCATION: I'm Arden near The Howe About Arden shopping center between the century theater, the container store and Starbucks. DECOR: A setup to sell. Typical warehouse shopping decor usually themed to the holidays. Shelves of supplies fill the space with a photo framing table area I'm the back and counters up front near the entrance. PRICE: I've come to learn that almost everything here at full price is way too expensive. Even the"half priced" frames are sometimes the full price of other brands with the same dimensions and not notably better. However, there are times when those items have a coupon or deal. Basically, get the app and use the coupons. They work. STAFF: Always helpful and friendly. Hard to find though. I spend more time looking for help than I do looking for what's on my list. I swear there needs to be some sort of service Bell or something. EXPERIENCE: Michael's is cool to stop by for a few on sale items here and there, but this place is really for middle income Crafters, not lower income artists. Not really for artists overall. There are always deals which makes me believe that nothing is a deal. I've found what I was looking for here when I've come, but it's better to find out what is available and buy it somewhere else.

U.S.A. States Ice Cube Tray! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/michaels-sacramento-5?select=seKeKsBlhD-N4WprkY7LbQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w SITREP Oh my GAWD! The coolest stuff is at "MY" store! I love "MY" store! And since my business-name is "Michael", any store named after "ME" is "MY" store, just sayin. THE SETUP This location of Michaels has only been open a little more than a week, and so recently, that apparently no other Yelpers have bothered to "Yelp" it yet. So I changed that and created this business page since I could not find any others for it on Yelp. It is in the refurbished "Howe 'Bout Arden" plaza area where Punchline, MOD Pizza and Pinkberry are also located. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES At the entrance is "MY" table, and so I take it as my civic duty to stay at the welcoming table and perform greeting responsibilities (or until kicked out). https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/michaels-sacramento-5?select=IAk1qWRGdYRDrKFKfl1zAQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE STUFF The Ice Cube Tray was just loads of fun. [Yelper Larissa J. and I would fight over who could to have OREGON melting in their mouth, so we each need one.] But there was lots of other stuff we'll have to get on a later visit. This crayon dollhouse I see as a future project in our training work group if Larissa has her way! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/michaels-sacramento-5?select=FLWiG3aVRooZXSs2L8uNGQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w Sadly, I had left piles and PILES of these Conch shells on Bahamian beaches just a couple of weeks ago. If I had realized there was money to be made off them, I woulda snuck 1000 or so back in my suitcase. :D https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/michaels-sacramento-5?select=oHM-XINXG-mHpyiJBbzZYw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE LOWDOWN Michaels is a great place to grab your favorite arts & crafts items!

My favorite Game store in Sacramento…read more It contains a large catalog of card, board, strategy and miniature games that will appeal to a casual laymen, a beginner, or the serious die hard enthusiast. There are 2 parts to this large store, the showroom area with all the games, miniatures for your perusing and purchasing pleasure. The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in recommending a game you may like, or answering inquiries into availability or ordering a game they may not have in stock. The 2d part is large game room that is stocked with games you can test out, or just come in with your friends, or meet new friends and try them out. They publish a monthly schedule of tournaments, contests, or just open game playing. On this occaision, I came to one of the Semi Annual flea market bazaars, where anyone could sign up, for a small fee , get a space to sell their older games , or maybe crafts. There is No fee to be a shopper st the bazaar, so you can find some good deals on games, miniatures, cards, books, terrain, storage or dice. I scored a Zombicide game that was unpunched at a great price for my son & I to play. All in all, just a great store for any game enthusiast of every age from beginners to the hard core gamer.

Truthfully, I really don't think we have anything down there that compares to the size, selection, and value at Great Escape. This place was awesome! There's just so much to look at! Friendly customer service, great choice selection of games and tools, and if you sign up for their rewards at the register you get $2 off. I'm a new 40k enthusiast and really enjoyed hanging around here. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. Their prices are reasonable and if you're someone who's interested in painting miniatures and all- definitely give this place a shot. They have everything you need here... you've got plenty of options. It's a pretty big establishment, the only weird thing is that it's hidden tucked away on the backside of the building. I went on a Saturday afternoon and really enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to exploring more of Sac's gaming scene.

They're known for their extensive (--VERY EXTENSIVE--) RC Hobby equipment and supplies.... And that's what I came for. Came in looking for things that I thought I could only find online upgrade parts for Arrma Mojave Grom and Granite Grom. Was looking for different covers and axle rods. They had what I was looking for! Also, saw a ton of aftermarket parts for ALL scales of Rock Crawlers, and the cars to g with them... I stared at one of them too long, and the sales-tech shoved the crawler in my hand and ushered me over to the rock crawl stage, in the middle of the store... I had a blast! Prior to my experience with this rock crawler, I had my research set on a different type... the hands-on experience helped me make a great choice. I picked one up a week later, for my grandkids. (Today) I saw and perused a LOT... yes, transmitters, receivers, planes, trains, automobiles...dolls, bears, think toys, frisbees, electronic and steam hobby... and even more Toy Hobby, not just crafts... Toy Hobby. I haven't seen such variety of beginner/intermediate/advanced electronic and toy hobby in one place. This. Place. Has. It. ALL. If you don't have a hobby going in, you can definitely leave with one, or two. Well worth the visit to get your hands, and set eyes on the hobby you're looking into!

Yo Pop Fun Shop is on the backside of the tan color building maps will route you to. There's parking back there too. It feels kind of like finding a brewery, and that might prevent break ins I suppose. I couldn't even tell there were windows until we were inside. This is where my cousin wanted to go to do one of our favorite hobbies together (window shopping and impulse buying, ok I guess in his case Seriously Collecting Funko Pop figures) on his birthday shopping trip this year. I had never heard of it, so I figured, why not? I am so glad we checked it out because they had so many different Funkos I wasn't used to seeing, particularly in the recent movies, cult classics, Disney, and anime categories. For instance, I had no idea there were Fruits Basket ones. Mind you, I am an unserious collector. Even though I told myself No Pops after I finally found my holy grail (Crowley + Aziraphale) at The Cave in July, I could not resist buying my kitty's namesake. Each of the main three have their tiny animal selves in addition to human form. The person working the counter that day was awesome, and she talked to us about the collection, prices, and anime. It was such a fun shopping experience. She helps her boss manage the store, which is his personal collection. Imagine having so many of these you can open a small store like this? Wow. The AC was bumping thankfully because it was a hot September day. Yo Pop is also clean and well-organized; that is all her doing, she said. I appreciated her so much but forget her name already. I'm sorry! Turns out there was a buy 3 get a 4th (under ? $15 I think) free, so I walked out with Kyo, Andy from Alien: Romulus (did not know there were even Alienverse Pops before this place!), my cousin's Christmas present, and one additional Power Ranger for him. We had a hard time walking away from sparkling Edward Cullen but neither of us could afford him. Prices are labeled (I cannot stand when they aren't visible), and reasonable. They had an entire wall of $7 figures. The highly collectable ones are expensive everywhere, and there are even apps now to find and compare prices. None of which I've bothered with. There's fun for me in the randomness of the hunt. This store is 95% FunkoPop, but there are some other collectables and toys in here too. I saw some cool retro action figures and loungefly backpacks. So yeah. I maybe have a FunkoProblem. And yeah, I take them out of the box (*GASP*...they look cuter on my bookshelves this way) unless they're the valuable ones. My ineffables and Kyo are def not coming out of the box. Leave me a compliment if you too have a FunkoProblem.

Adj: Treasure Trove of Yummylicious Yarn and More!…read more Another incredibly special and quite exclusive store in Sacramento that I somehow have only visited once or twice long ago, and which I've not really appreciate until now. I'm so glad that I have finally paid a meaningful visit to Rumpelstiltskin Yarn Store recently. Rumpelstiltskin, located on the R St corridor, is quite a long-standing establishment in Sacramento that has been providing the Sacramento fiber art community with supplies and knowledge for over 50 years! Rumpelstiltskin sells a wide selection of high-quality yarns, fiber art tools, and other supplies for crocheting, knitting, spinning, and weaving, so there's definitely a great variety of products offered here for various interests. Perhaps because the skill level of my two fiber art hobbies, crocheting and knitting, are quite elementary and have not improved much over the years, I've so far had all my yarn needs met at the more conventional arts and crafts stores of the big box variety. But as I am getting more serious about my yarn hobbies, I'm now interested in finding stores that offer more specialized products and even provide classes that will help me improve in my crafts skills. I am also looking to connect more with the fiber art community in Sacramento because my venture into joining that community so far has shown me how warm and welcoming fiber artists are and it is totally possible to learn from seasoned hobbyists and pros/teachers if one puts their mind to it. I've even connected with some very local yarn enthusiasts at my local library and I'm sure they all have visited Rumpelstiltskin. On this visit, I saw lots of exclusive brands and types of yarn made of much better material than I'm used to using. From basic wool to more specialized Merino, Alpaca, and Shetland, there were many different kinds available. One I particular liked was the cashmere wool which felt heavenly. I learned that Rumpelstiltskin makes it a point to partner with fiber farms and other small boutique fiber suppliers to source yarn and other fiber products that are not only exclusive, but that are truly local and US-made as much as possible. Rumpelstiltskin even shares the stories behind each brand they carry and even hosts "Farm to Needle" events to introduce some of their thoughtfully curated products that are specially selected for their quality and uniqueness. As such I noticed that the prices of their products are definitely several times higher than that of regular arts and crafts stores, but again Rumpelstiltskin sells really high-quality yarns and supplies. I did not have any questions for staff during my visit, but I saw a class taking place and noticed that besides the looks of concentration, it was smiles all around as everyone was really enjoying their class, so I'm also going to look into taking a class or joining in one of Rumpelstiltskin's events. Just from a quick glance at their website, I see offerings of beginner's knitting classes for adults and kids, an embroidery intro class, a felted slippers class which sounds super interesting and practical, a sweater class for those who are ready for bigger projects, and even basket coiling, spindle spinning, spinning wheel, and weaving classes. Besides the classes that have costs associated and private lessons for those who want 1:1 instruction, there are also monthly and periodic free knitting circles for kids and social stitch events. I did not interact with staff today, so I can't speak on customer service, but maybe on a future shopping trip, I'll hopefully be helped if needed. In short, Rumpelstiltskin really is a wonderful staple in the Sacramento community for fiber art beginners, hobbyists, and pro-level enthusiasts alike and I'm so glad I know more about Rumpelstiltskin now so I can feel comfortable to come back for higher-quality yarn and supplies for more serious projects as well as for classes and events to connect with our local fiber art community.

On top of that, I've been coming here for years and been met with nothing but experienced, thoughtful interactions that help me to complete my projects! Independent yarn stores are a dying breed. I urge you to support your local economy and put your money in the pockets of REAL people, not Joann, not Michael. Rumpel FTW
