The side of their establishment. I'd call for hours.

I went and got some crawfish about 2 hrs ago and they are perfection! Seasoned well (I didn't add anything) and big. The claws yield good meat, they're big too. Hands down the nicest people that work there. They accept cash tips and are EBT friendly. Not sure of their hours as of now but it's totally worth it. I haven't had crawfish this good in a long time. Seriously worth it. They have crabs and catfish as well. Fresh, fresh fresh. A+++++++ They also have specials for 5 lbs with corn and potatoes. I got 7 lbs and couldn't finish them....first time EVA!!

picked up 10lbs of crawfish and only about every 5th one would peel correctly. Over boiled and would break. Complete waste of money.

Poor service and negative attitude. Lady behind the counter was rather rude and impatient.

It teaches knife skills, safety, and you get to take your fresh fish home and cook a delicious meal with it. They also have a bar inside, of course it is New Orleans, and I got an espresso martini and it was quite good! So great fresh fish and cocktails! The fish class came with two large fish, you got to keep the knife, and learned skills. The lady monger demonstrated on her fish, and then watches you carefully, guiding you to ensure the best technique. There was about 4 people per cutting table and they also required use to wear apron and gloves. Don't feel intimidated because they are right there guiding, ensuring safety. It was a fun unique experience. Even if you know how to gut a fish, you may still learn something new! I have to come back and try some these fresh sandwiches or poboys. There is so much greatness here, you just have to swing by and check it out yourself!

The Good: The Staff was lovely and the Tostada was AMAZING!…read more The Bad: Everything else... Outside of the Tostadas, the food we had was shockingly bad. The fried "Captain's Platter" is $35, it's worth maybe $12. It was 4 shrimp, 4 oysters, and a decent sized piece of fish, all considerably over-fried, with fairly plain coleslaw and hushpuppies that looked like they had been cooking since the shift the day before. --- I honestly couldn't believe this was brought to the table, but it seemed normal so apparently that is how it is served there. It was VERY small and fairly overcooked. The boiled crabs were mush. Decent flavor, not great. Would not recommend. The charbroiled oysters again seemed to have been cooking for 3-4 times longer than they should have. They were rubber, flavorless and unappetizing to look at. They were pretty bad. - At least they were clean. I didn't get any shell. But I also didn't get any oyster in 1 of the 6 oysters served at $18. Then we got a Sausage Poboy. The sausage was decent, but the sandwich wasn't good. WHY WOULD YOU TOAST THE BREAD? NO ONE WANTS SAUSAGE BETWEEN TWO CROUTONS. Just kind of a weird mistake that makes you wonder if anyone there has tried to eat any of their own food. Because it's not easy... Honestly 90% of the food we got there was pretty bad. But we will be back for Tostada alone. That was phenomenal. 10/10 Delicious.

I'm from Jefferson (the first suburb on the immediate west side of NOLA) and when I'm home…read morevisiting, Louisana Seafood Exchange is literally a short walk from the house. Yelp has this listed more like a restaurant, and it's definitely not. It's where you go to buy the freshest uncooked seafood in the city and then take it home and make beautiful things happen with it. This company has 3 locations in S. Louisiana and each is basically a shipping facility that has a retail store in the front. Everything they carry is the freshest possible and they're happy to sell you a pound or a thousand pounds. The turtle meat, frog legs, and alligator tail are especially good. They also have literally every fish that can be found anywhere. The staff here are just so friendly and accommodating. If they're sold out of something that day, they'll be really nice and hold some of it for you from the next day's catch. If you're in a hurry (or just lazy), they'll even be super nice and boil the crawfish you buy. If you need cooking ideas, they'll always help you out. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and I've never had a bad experience. Everything is the best quality, fresh, and everyone that works here is so pleasant. The place isn't fancy, but it's extremely clean. Prices aren't dirt cheap, but seafood prices never are. Definitely do your seafood shopping here. I can't possibly recommend Louisiana Seafood Exchange highly enough.

My wife and I are doing a pizza survey this summer just for fun. We decided to try a new pizza…read moreplace every couple of weeks to see which ones were worth all the fuss. Il Supremo stands as tall as the rest and maybe the best although we have not finished our survey. This location has a lot of fond memories for me. When I first moved to Old Metairie in the 1980s, I often dined at Delerno's which served amazing food at this location for over 40 years. It was an old style neighborhood Creole Italian and Seafood restaurant, examples of which can still be found throughout the metro area although the numbers are declining. The owner reportedly was one of the first New Orleans restaurant owners to include crawfish on his menu including a Festival of Crawfish featuring what we would essentially call a crawfish platter, crawfish prepared different ways. You have to love a guy like that. I was so sad when it closed. Anyway, back to the pizza. Il Supremo makes pizza as delicious as any pizza I've had in New York or San Francisco. The crust is thin and crunchy with what appears to be a cornmeal dusting. The crust is baked to perfection, brown and crispy with a few, but not too many, burned areas- just the way I like it. The cheese is excellent as is the sauce which has a bit of a kick but not too much to be overpowering. And the amount of sauce is perfect, not too much for those who like it stingy, and enough for the red gravy lovers of the New Orleans. We ordered the Wooster which was pepperoni, roasted garlic, shallots, and basil. It was outstanding. The garlic and shallots were a perfect complement to the sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. The basil frankly looked great but was not very evident, if at all, in the overall flavor profile. Perhaps it would be were it added after baking. The space itself is decent with only a few tables but crowded and noisy even at 5:30 on a Friday afternoon. It shares space with Super Witch ice cream, so if you want dessert, you don't have to go far. I will definitely be back for more pizza from Il Supremo. NB The website is a little heavy handed and full of rules and caveats including that pickup orders have to be ordered 24 hours in advance. I ordered the morning of my pickup and had no problem. I have no idea why you would have to order 24 hours in advance. Regardless, that is the rule. I guess you could call and ask if you're too late to order but, of course, they have no phone. Such is life in the new millenium. If you called Delerno's, Mrs. Delerno would answer.

They completely forgot our pasta, leaving us waiting 30 minutes while our pizza sat in the heating drawer--and they never called us up when it was ready. Being from Chicago, we've been pleasantly surprised by the decent pizza and pasta scene around Metairie and New Orleans, but will most likely not come back. Edit for date we visited was Sunday 7/5 around 6-6:30 pm
