This is what my husband made .. Michaels you bring so much love
    Mitra U.

I have been visiting Michaels since forever . Exquisite decor and hobbies to follow and choose. Ever since my daughter and now my son have explored the creative side .. our visit is minimum twice a month. For more than a year my husband is the one who picks and chooses art, paper, canvases, colors and what not .. he loves the creativity solutions this place provides . Oh this was just about what all Michaels did to our senses .. but Interbay Michaels has amazing customer service and also they have pamphlets to inform when their I house creative classes are held . Always a smiling counter service and such helpful teams. Abundant parking spots and such a nice clean space . Love it here .. thank you for all the sparkles you bring upon us ;)

From review: the 3x4 ft map I had framed. I didn't bother to go for the anti-reflective glass. All hanging 'devices' are included for free.

The place is a total mess. Empty shelves everywhere. Chaos. Dimly lit. No employees around to help you. Couldn't find what I needed. Yikes.

It's my personal ritual to make a far(er)-flung trek to a yarn store outside the main city area…read moreevery time I travel. Acorn Street turned out to be the BEST yarn store I have been to. Their selection of yarn is extensive and very organized; Juni and Si was holding a trunk show while I was there. They have a variety of both local and famous yarn (ie Madtosh, Malabrigo, Berroco), and most of all, their staff is the sweetest bunch. But, but! The thing I loved most is the sheer number of needles and notions they carry: both singular sizes and also full sets from different vendors (Lykke, Chiaogoo, KP). You can spend hours here brainstorming a project and buying everything you need to start swatching. I bought some cute pine cone stitch markers, a skein from Juni and Si for some socks and an Addi needle (with which I'm already in love with and off to the races on a new project). Thanks, Mary and Janet! I will surely, surely be back the next time I am in town.

Geared towards people who want to make their own outdoor gear (by the way, how cool is that?!) Seattle Fabrics is also a treasure trove of goodness for those of us in the bag-making community. From vinyl to nylon to mesh this is not the place to look for quilting cottons, but if you like to think out of the fabric box you've come to the right place. And even though some of the larger chain fabric stores carry some outdoor-friendly products this place carries them in EVERY color. They also have an amazing selection of bag hardware in all sizes, quite possibly the most impressive selection of zippers EVER, and enough fleece to cover the entire city in one big blanket. Their prices were super reasonable too. I've been buying my glitter vinyl online for twice what I paid here. The place isn't fancy, and you might have to do some digging, but when I couldn't find a couple of things the nice guy at the cutting counter was happy to help. They also have a tempting selection of patterns. Want to make your own tent, ski clothing, or backpack? Need to reupholster your boat? Sailboat needs a new canvas? This is your place!

This unique, engaging, and enjoyable event was hosted by Jennifer, Yelp Eastside CM from Issaquah. Our VYEE instructor was Kellie, the enthusiastic and passionate owner of The Works in Seattle (2/11/21). I signed up thinking ahead for something fun to look forward to. After my recent past two weeks, this event was so welcomed! I'm always curious how artists and craftspeople create unique items and are able to establish a vibrant indie business too. I've taken other similar classes that allows for creativity and a timeout from the day-to-day. The vibe that Jennifer and Kellie created during this hour session, and seeing others with their custom, handmade bath bombs...this was a much needed and appreciated this evening. I ordered my kit on 2/8/21 intended to pick it up in person. And of course, life interfered. But the folks at The Works worked their magic, kindly got it in the mail, and I received it day of the event. Lovely packaging. Makes a great gift! Techniques are freely shared and allowed for further creativity with additional tips from Kellie and other Yelp Elites participating. I listened intently, took copious notes, and took screenshots. Inside the Bath Bombs Kit are all the items needed, including an instruction booklet, and video link to watch later for reference. Other items needed and not included are a mixing bowl, fork, 1 Tablespoon measuring spoon, and up to 3T water. After giving this process a whirl, (makes about 4 bath bombs from the kit) the choices and combos one can continue to create are infinite! Add in some creativity, you'll learn a really top notch skill, promote self care, and can give as gifts. Art meets science! Gifts guaranteed to be well received, not become a regifted white elephant, and you don't have to dust it, lol. Supporting The Works is also beneficial to showcasing their business and the artisans they also partner with. The Works Seattle 151 12th Avenue, Seattle WA 98122 theworksseattle.com

I hate to give such a negative review to a store that has so much to love. I had read the negative…read morecomments before, but the employees I had previously interacted with were super kind and I bought some circular knitting needles on one's recommendation. I went in today planning to get some supplies for another project - my first since knitting 3 of the same basic triangle scarf. I had some wool already (some beautiful merino from "So Much Yarn" at Pike Place), but assumed I'd need some new needles or perhaps some different wool if I wanted to use my current needles. I went to the back and when I put my coffee down on a shelf to take out my yarn to show her, the employee (or the owner, perhaps) very testily told me NEVER to put coffee down near the yarn - especially cashmere. It made sense that they were cautious, but her attitude was very rude - as if I were an inconsiderate child who needed scolding. I moved my coffee to the garbage can lid where she indicated I could put it and I explained what I was there for and she said - well you already have yarn that you purchased somewhere else. We can sell you some yarn, but we don't have time to get an inexperienced knitter set up on a project with wool they didn't buy here. I was shocked, and said - gosh, I'm feeling pretty unwelcome. I wasn't expecting anyone to get me set up with anything. I already have a pattern and was expecting to buy some needles at least. She started to say how she's "happy to help" me, but I felt so humiliated, I just left. There are so many knitters in there sitting around and talking and I had honestly hoped to be one of them one day once I became a better knitter, but I'll never return. I have never been treated so rudely in a shop in my life.

They can help customize patterns, as well as help with finishing work. Over the years, I have come here to knit, meeting some truly wonderful and welcoming group of people. Because Tricoter provides such a warm space for people to learn and gather, I find myself keep going back to find more projects. Not just a place where knitting supplies are sold, Tricoter is a genuine community space where people gather to share their love of knitting. I have gotten so spoiled that I am not sure I can go to any other yarn store.
