Worst experience I've ever had. Went in to do some shopping and brought in my reusable bags I had begun to shop and look around the store is clean and well organized, but here is where it gets weird. I was looking at something not focusing on my cart and I heard my bags Russell and I turn to look and there is an employee looking through my bags and I said excuse me did I drop something ? And she replied " just trying to see what you have in your bags" and I replied with " are you assuming I have sticky fingers and am trying to steal something?" And her reply was " oh I'll be sure you don't, you can expect to have your bags searched as you leave" I was so pissed I got my bags and was leaving I told the cashier about it and asked to speak to the manager... the lady looking through my bags was the manager I was so shook I could not believe that! Horrible excuse for s manager didn't catch her name but she was an older lady wearing glasses with blonde hair! Just avoid the rude service and go else where read more

I've enjoyed taking two classes from Michael's and had a blast in them both, I have learned a new skill with both classes. Will be putting the new skills to use a lot in the coming weeks. I look forward to more classes at Michaels, for jewelry making. read more

I like the organization in their art canvas section. Things aren't a mess and haven't been so misplaced. They honor all the usual weekend and receipt coupons. I don't have problems finding things in this store. However, there have been maybe 2 occasions where I was looking for something very specific and the folks working there said, "I have no idea what that is."The seasonal items are always fun but that is probably the one place where you will find the most disorganized displays. Went in to buy a frame and then again a couple days later because I'd received a 50% off one item coupon. I then saw a bigger sale on frames and bought more. When I checked out, just happened too sign up for rewards. Wish the cashiers would have asked me before. I have since received emails that are great. Employees are helpful and will guide you to the right direction. Bathrooms are painful. An employee has to let you in. Decent prices on a lot of stuff. The custom framing prices are high. I suggest shopping at the store with coupons or when there are advertisements otherwise the prices are not great. read more

I recently visited the store on Thursday and always have an unpleasant experience. I believe the associate's name was Denise. My mother asked her a question for help on locating an item and she didn't acknowledge her, but surprisingly answered. We thought she didn't hear her because she hesitated before answering. Fast forward to checkout, I was inquiring about a gift card I received per my last visit, that I never came to claim. A while ago, the store manager called me and said it would be left in the safe for me, but unfortunately I forgot her name. For some reason, when I explained that to the associate she ended up calling up calling Denise to her aid. I asked why she was calling her and if I needed to show my ID. Denise was very condescending and asked who I spoke to and said there are several managers, which I'm aware of because I've worked in retail, but typically there is one store manager. She continued on acting as if I was asking for a free gift card saying, "yeah we don't just give those out." I wasn't asking for a free gift card nor did I want to argue with her so I just left it alone, because she was the reason as to why I received the gift card from my last visit. This continuous encounter makes me reluctant to return to this Michael's, seeing as there is always an issue when it comes to asking for help. read more

This is the absolute worst experience that I have ever experienced at any store. the customer service was horrible the manager had no knowledge of her in store products, I was very sad to find out the product that I had initially come to the store to get I was told by three different individuals that they do not carry that product when in fact another associate number 4 lead me right to the exact product I was looking for keep in mind I asked the manager did she carry this particular product and she stated that she did not. this store can use a lot of one on one customer service time and they can learn a lot from Hobby Lobby on how to treat their customers and to be knowledgeable of in store product. very sad I would give this store no stars but Yelp requires me to give at least one so that's all they're getting. read more

Yesterday I was at the store and when I went to check out the line was long... nothing new. But I have to say out of all four cashiers ringing Porsche was A... to.. the....AWESOME!!! Not only did she smile when you walked into the line but she was ringing up customers so fast and had a very pleasant attitude. She was super friendly and I wasn't exactly sure how the coupon policy was for using other stores coupons and she explained it to me. This girl is an amazing employee and kicked butt yesterday on the register. Well done girl!!! YOU ROCK!! Very Happy Customer!! I hope she's my cashier the next time I'm in the store. read more

If I could give zero stars I would in customer service. This is the second time I've been to the store to get the my big idea planner and they're never on the sleeve. First time I asked the cashier if they had any more but she had no idea what I was talking about. A month later I came back to see if they had any more but nothing. So I thought I was looking in the wrong aisle and decided that I need help looking for them. When I came across a worker she was too busy to help me and just waved her finger around and just said "that they're over there somewhere or over there." Pretty much indicated that I needed to walk around the whole store to look for the planner myself. So I walk down a couple more aisles but I had to leave because my daughter was too fussy. As I was leaving I noticed the worker at the cash register area laughing at me with the other workers. This is the rudest customer experience I have ever been through. read more

They NEVER have what I am looking for and when I ask they act like they don't know what I am talking about.

This review is specifically for the framing dept. In late Oct of last year (2013)I went in to have two custom frames made to match another framed painting. Gabe went through the entire procedure of selecting, customizing and ordering the two frames at a DISCOUNTED price of nearly $900. Originally I wanted the frames by the first week of Dec but was told that they would not be able to have them ready by then. But Gabe assured me the frames would be ready by the week before Christmas. So the week before Christmas I went to pick up the frames and Gabe had painted them BLUE because he believed that was the color that would match my other frame best. HE WAS COMPLETELY WRONG. So they had to have the frames REMADE. This time Cynthia took over the process. Cynthia is the ONLY reason I am giving them a 2 star rating. Otherwise it would have been a 1 star or if possible 0 stars. HOWEVER, the dramedy didn't end at this point. There was one gaffe after another in attempting to have the frames remade to the exact measurements which I had ordered. So FINALLY, last weekend (mid sept 2014) I was able to pick up the finished frames. They still couldn't get the sizes right but I had already given up on any kind of accuracy from Michaels framing so I just decided to leave them as they were and take them home. Once I told them I was taking them, I was told it would be a half hour to do the final prep work to them. I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited!!! Good ol Gabe took nearly 2 1/2 hours to do the final prep work, which still ended up looking like my 10 year old grandson's school art project. LESSON LEARNED and it took nearly one full year to get it done. read more

I would like to warn everyone NOT to take a "free" class here. A friend and I signed up for a free jewelry making class. The materials came to $32 for the materials for two necklaces. The instructor was sweet but had no idea how to make the necklace. Two kind ladies taking the class had more knowledge than the instructor! Out of five people taking the class not one of us was able to complete the project. But that is not the worst of it, because we had no clear instruction and were not given the detailed items that were supposed to be given to us to complete the project at home we went home with a bag of beads and parts we had paid for that served no use!!! Not one of the partially completed necklaces looked anything like the illustration that was used to lure us into this class. Basically I threw away $32 on materials that cannot be used on anything else! What a waste! Buyer beware! read more
