I love crafts, and I love this place. Michaels has everything I need for a creative mind like me, scrapbooking paper, ribbons, yarn.. everything. The selections are great. Plus, I always print out coupons for 40% of one regular priced item, or 15% of entire purchase.. the staff here are alright, sometimes not the friendliest and you can never find them when you really need them. But for me, i like to shop in silence. A great place to pick up anything you do for projects, DIY home decor, and gift wrapping. read more

I can't stand this store. Its poor-quality, "Made in China," disposable merchandise is consistently disorganized and frequently out of stock. Normally I wouldn't set foot in Michaels, but occasionally I have to pickup something for one of my kid's school projects or something. Last Halloween, a few days before the holiday, I was looking for some simple party favors, and practically all they had were Thanksgiving decorations! Christmas merchandise apparently hits the sales floor even earlier. Staff are nowhere to be found, and if you do manage to accost some highschooler stocking the shelves, they invariable have no idea where to find a product and seemingly no interest in trying. read more

This is not the best Michael's store I've been to due to the disorganization and layout of the store itself. It's in a convenient location and I love their weekly coupons that come with the paper, but I am just not a fan of how crazy and messy this store feels from the moment I walk in. read more

I have been to so many of these stores...and this one is by far the best laid out and the largest. All the other Michaels are tiny and cramped, and busy! This one is wide open and never is too busy, really easy to find whatever you need, organized and stocked well...and you never have to wait long for someone to open up the spray paint cage. good location for when i lived on campus at cal poly, stays open late too which is nice. read more

The perfect place for crafters, artists, and hobby enthusiasts. Make sure you look for their coupons on your phone app. The people at this location are always friendly. I prefer to go here as opposed to Hobby Lobby. They have a pretty good clearance section and their seasonal stuff is always on sale. I love this store. read more

I enjoy coming to Michaels there's thousands of different lovely things so you can get real creative making things from flower vases, picture frame colored paper borders, bracelets etc. Time always passes by fast when you are in any of these super stores. read more

The store is very clean and well organized. I like to browse the store. They have a large selection of scrap booking stickers. Tuesday I stood in line to purchase a gift card. The cashier said that I can only pay via debit card and not a credit card. She said she does not know why. Well I didn't have my debit card. I found their policy to be very odd because I purchase gift cards all the time at supermarkets on my credit card. I'm going to try purchasing it again tonight. I'm just curious if they have an inconsistent policy. read more

I bought 6 boxes (for pictures) for $10 as advertised on the price board outside but when the cashier charged me wrong, all she wanted to do is get rid of me. The manager was no better. She would not even attempt simple math. Her solution was for me to take and extra box or to change the sign outside. The point is they need to stand by their advertised price and if they make a mistake apologize and correct it. There is no customer service there. I shop there often. Not a happy customer. read more

Unethical. I brought a coupon that had limitations, but the thing I was buying wasn't a restricted item. It was at regular price and the coupon could apply to it. When I went to pay for it, the cashier told me they would not honor the coupon as applied to the item. Apparently, the item was a hot seller and the store didn't want to lose money by allowing the discount to be applied. Suck it Michaels! read more

My wife and I frequently go to Michael's as well as other craft stores. Generally we like the Michael's we visit except the West Covina Store ( our favorite is the Walnut / Industry store, Ca.). We've gone to the West Covina store several times and the service has always been substandard! However the Walnut / Industry staff is very attentive, caring and extremely helpful especially when you have to return something, I would say the management and most of the staff are very hospitable (They even have a bench for you to sit on if you're just waiting)! Nuff said, if you want good selection great service GO TO THE STORE IN WALNUT / INDUSTRY! It is also much cleaner than most Michael's. read more

Like any other hopeless romantic guy, I walked in here with an idea of what I wanted to achieve for a project, but of course the finished picture wouldn't be set until I've wandered around aimlessly for about an hour before taking it all in and finally knowing exactly what was needed. I was surprised to have found it all in the fraction of the time. Everything was priced, easy to find, and set perfectly for dummies like me. It was like they knew I was coming (or they already prepared for every guy in the world). When I got up to the counter, I was immediately helped by a wonderful young lady named Kendra who was an absolute delight in the checkout process. I don't normally sign up for clubs, points, or newsletters, but when she asked sweetly, I felt compelled to do so. I will definitely be coming back soon. read more

Recently ordered 3 Christmas gifts for my son all of which were pick up in store. Website would not allow me to pick up 1 in store said not available at my home store and sent me 30 minutes out. When I picked up items at local store saw the other ordered item in stock (5 available) in store....WTH! Tried to have it changed to local store but customer service said I needed to cancel order and reorder. That meant more $ to spend and I got original purchase with discount special. DO NOT EVER USE MICHEAL'S WEBSITE TO ORDER! Just HORRIBLE read more

I was able to get so much party planning done with the help of the staff here. There is a huge variety! Is such a well organized store. I only wish the prices weren't so high. The location makes super easy to find parking and get errands done. read more

I'm a frequent shopper and I'm so sad when I didn't see Lindsey there and asked where she was and she doesn't work there anymore. She always went out of her way for every customer and the store is always clean and everyone else is very friendly. Their selection of yarn is pretty limited compared to other locations I've been to. Almost every time I walk away with absolutely nothing. The people have been nice so that's a possitive. It's just not the place for a knitter looking for a large selection/specific brand/color. read more

I actually don't even want to give 1 star rating. I recently visited the store on Valley Blvd and was pretty disappointed. I had gone into the store with my children and nephews. All over age 12. I had stepped away to florals and they had gone to get a shirt. While there, my niece tore her pants and they had all started laughing in embarrassment. Mind you they weren't yelling and they weren't playing or throwing anything . An employee by name of Cassandra walked up to them as I was walking up from behind and told them to keep it down as she got some complaints from customers. By this point we had ONLY be in store no more then 10 minutes. So I asked Cassandra "you mean to tell me someone took the time to stop shopping and go tell you this" and stated yes. I told her that was ridiculous and uncalled for and we walked away. I don't appreciate how Cassandra handled herself. I actually was embarrassed and felt harassed. I have been shopping at many of Michaels locations for years and I have never been approached and embarrassed. I really think she just wanted to bully my children and nephews because she saw no adults with them. I think to myself, what does she do when a crying baby or young child having a tantrum in your store? Just very uncalled for. And I want to assure you I will NEVER go back to that store. Employes are helpful, professional and this store is always clean. Only issue is that sometimes the line backs up at the registers.

I have a charity event tomorrow and I just need one bundle of paper and its 6:59 pm and they refuse to let me purchase it because the store closes at 7:00pm and supposedly the registers are fully closed. WTH!!! I see a lot of customers still inside the stores looking at things with merchandise. You're telling me the registers are closed to them too. It took me a long time to come back shopping at your stores because of the security breach. Now that I'm feeling comfortable to shop again, your cashier just said NO to me. I know what I needed and where. I'll find my item and check out before the customer in front of floral section. So totally annoyed. I guess you don't need all you customers after all. read more
