1/31//25 Forgot to check in, redeemed my $5 reward on these silver & gold Sharpies. I was in such a hurry that I forgot to check-in & since it's a new store to me, I couldn't locate where the pens were. A very tall young man (staff) helped me out. He was very courteous & friendly . I didn't get his name either. Found the silver & gold Sharpies for my paper crafting but they're locked. This kindly staff member opened & brought the markers to the checkout & rung be up. Yay! I redeemed my $5 reward which was expiring tomorrow. This store just happened to be on our way home & it was near closing time. This Michael's is in a plaza with other businesses & parking is free, readily available. If I was not in hurry & out of time, I would've explored further.

    Rude managers

I would leave a negative star for the customer service from all three stores managers that were present the day I went to return and item that was defective. Although I had the receipt they still were very rude and blunt. When I asked for their name they wouldn't give me them. Only name I got was ANGELICA. But these ladies in the picture do not belong with the manager title

I recently visited Michael's craft store, and I have to say that while it offers a wide range of art supplies, it left me with mixed feelings. Even with a 20% discount, the prices were noticeably higher compared to other stores like Hobby Lobby, Blicks, or carpe Diem. I purchased Winsor & Newton oil paints, brushes from the 3 series, sculpting wire, PrismaColor colored pencils, fine detail linseed oil, and a sketchbook, which added up to a hefty $145. It's definitely on the expensive side. I usually resort to Michael's when there are no other options, as I typically prefer to order from my favorite online stores due to the cost. Michael's is convenient for a quick shopping trip, but it can be tough on the wallet. I would recommend Hobby Lobby if you're close, but if you want professional quality Blicks, Art Center College of Design (My alma mater), or go online.

Customer service by Sonia and Remy was ABOVE PAR!! They both were eager to help and these days, THAT'S RARE commodity! After today's experience I would recommend shopping at this store!

As of this review, they're currently having a 40% sale of the entire store with a section that's 50% off. I've seen them vend at a lot of SoCal anime conventions, always seeing attendees carry around their logo shopping tote bags with purchases, but alas I feel like the location (swaths of closed shops in the mall) things didn't line up, sadly. There's some cute photo opportunities and there's a decent mix of nerdy collectible goods there like Pop Up Parade figures, Nendoroids, Figma, Funko Pops (ugh), some western media (Star Wars and Stranger Things), Poke'mon goods (cards and some vintage figures), and blind boxes. Was very neat that they had Fate figures since I don't see that as often anymore, unless it's only prize figures, but they had the Figma for Okita Alter, the scale figure for Skadi, and Saber Alter Copoche. However, I'm sadly not in the market for figurines as a person out of space (I'll have you one day Oberon and Nobbu scale figures). Worker was quiet and minded their own business, but answered questions when need be. Hopefully conventions can help them more than what the mall had to offer.

This is a store that sells children's toys, which makes this behavior even more disturbing. The environment should be welcoming and respectful, especially for families. I think it is worse that he thought he was being discreet about it, but we can hear him as we browse near the check out line... From a customer standpoint, the owner is also extremely pushy. He does not allow customers to browse comfortably and continues to tell me about new items even when we told him that we are just looking. The store itself is very cluttered, with items clumped together so tightly that it's difficult to tell products apart. The lack of professionalism, both in how the store is run and how employees are treated, is very concerning. If he is like this in public I cannot imagine how he is in person... Customers notice these things... and it's disappointing to see behavior like this continue unchecked... We will no longer shop here!!

The owner replied that it was automatically canceled because of fraud when everything else that I bought today went through without a problem. I'm sitting on a well over 20 K in that account, and when I tried to call the business, there is nobody to speak to it goes to a voicemail telling you to contact their email. So if this guy really cared about a sale, he would be contacting me right now trying to make things right and get me to buy the product because I actually did need it for a gift and it's going to be hard to source elsewhere.
