Having someone loudly announce the hand sanitizer for me at that moment--when I thought it was for everybody--made me feel singled out and uncomfortable. Combined with the long wait, 40 minutes in the lobby, it really didn't feel like my needs were understood. I do want to express my gratitude to Grace for noticing and bringing the doctor's attention to my situation when I was struggling. I hope the office can use this feedback to be a bit more mindful and discreet in accommodating patients with anxiety-related conditions in the future. If I have to keep parenting professionals this way, maybe I should just file a grievance and get it over with. I was alarmed that this office wouldn't even do a cleaning because of this "gum disease" and referred me to a periodontist for a deep cleaning and scaling. The periodontist, Dr. Yeoung, said I not only needed a deep cleaning, but also bone grafting and possibly implants. Alarm bells went off in my head because I have been so diligent with my dental hygiene for years and never even have had any bleeding during a cleaning. Also, it was going to be thousands of dollars that I didn't have. (Delta Dental would pay $1,000). I was freaked out and called my Ojai dentist and made the drive for advice. My trusted hygienist told me there was NOTHING WRONG WITH MY GUMS. These two dentists are upselling procedures and obviously are working together to swindle vulnerable patients, (which is easy to do since we can't see very well inside our own mouths and trust them for their expertise). My experience was the worst! I will be driving back to my previous dentist in Ojai for dental work!

His quote was roughly $5,000 to fix it. Dr Stein had never recommended that, even from previous x-rays. Beware please, his go-to seems to be $5,000, or multiples of $5,000, even if not necessarily needed. He doesn't seem to care about anything but money, and I think he'll scare you into doing it.

Two times now I've gone in for my appointment and was seen an hour to an hour and a half PAST my appointment time- resulting in services that I need to get done them not having time for. Now I have to go back for a third visit just to get done the original tooth that I came in for in April. A woman was there about 15 minutes after I got there sometime before 10 AM. She had a doctor appointment at noon somewhere else and after an hour of waiting for her appointment which was at 10:30. She asked if she should reschedule because she wouldn't make her second appointment. I'm not sure who is in charge of the scheduling, but they need to be let go. Over booking an understaffed office is not helping your team or your patient care. The amount of time collectively I've spent waiting in that office I could've driven to my old dentist in Orange County. Got the work done and came back home I understand your time is valuable, but so is the time of the patients who take off work, arranged, childcare, or schedule other appointments in their day. An hour to 2 hours to be seen as crazy work- only to be told " there's not enough time to do the thing you came in here for we're gonna have to reschedule you"

She was so patient with him too. Love this place!
