    Seafood platter

This was one of the best dining experiences we've had in Hawaii and will be back for more. The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff remembered our names and struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy the evening. The waterfront views are nice and make for a perfect date night setting. Everything we ordered was fantastic, but the seafood platter truly stood out. It was easily the best seafood platter we've had to date and worth every penny. I rarely order dessert, but I'm glad we did here. The soufflé was incredible and the perfect way to end the meal. Between the food, service, and atmosphere, this is a place we'll definitely be returning to. Absolutely recommend! Note: if you want seaside seatings, you have to book months in advance.

Went to Michel's for our anniversary and the food was amazing. We got Caesar Salad, which they made in front of us. We got the New York Steak and the dinner special for our main course. We ordered the coconut cheesecake for dessert and they also gave us a complimentary dessert. We were seated by the beach, which was kinda hot because the sun was beaming at us, but the sunset view was worth it!

We had a truly beautiful dinner. Our waiter was so great, thank you Michael! Everything was tasty and enjoyable. They really took their time bringing out all our courses so we were able to enjoy time at dinner. Food is so good!

This is one of my most favorite steak house and seafood restaurants to go to. Steaks are always made to perfection, the views of the ocean and sunset is priceless. You must make reservations, parking have valet service. Staffs here and just top notch, always going out of their way to make sure your night is going well.

What began as a lovely evening to celebrate a special occasion turned into one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had in years. Our server repeatedly asked us at the very end of the night to recommend Michel's to our family and friends. This is my recommendation: If you're looking for good service and a true fine-dining experience, don't come here. The issue wasn't a lack of effort, it was that our server treated us as if we were an inconvenience. He would irritably pull back utensils if anyone moved, insist we remove menus from plates before pouring champagne, and correct us at every opportunity. He also unprompted boasted about his credentials, how he was recruited to Michel's, and his years in the industry. Unfortunately, we were not receiving the level of service he described. Our server was off-putting from the start; condescending, and with a corrective tone in both voice and manner. When our table asked if a salad could be split, he cut us off and said, "I will take your order, and your order only. Any accommodations can be made later." We were simply trying to order two Caesar salads split among four people. Despite this interaction, we gave him grace and expected he would return to handle the accommodation. He never did. We were left splitting our own salads and had to ask for extra plates. When we requested them, another server responded, "You should have told us. We would have split it for you." Although we were clearly celebrating a milestone, while not mandatory, restaurants of this caliber typically make at least a small effort to acknowledge special occasions. There was no warmth shown whatsoever aside from brief interactions with Michael, who was beyond excellent. Five stars to him. While the setting itself is elegant and the food was very good, the atmosphere at our table felt uncomfortable rather than celebratory. Delicious food and a nice view cannot make up for service that leaves guests feeling unwelcome. Mahalo, but no thank you. We will be recommending better restaurants to our friends and family.

Posting this in secrecy because I want to gatekeep this place. Gorgeous views, great food, great service, great cocktails, valet, feel fancy without breaking the bank.

Michele's was not as good as it should have been. Excellent location with nice view of the beach. (edit: forgot mention Maria's Smoked Old Fashioned, which was elegantly presented and, according to her, excellent). The Caesar Salad (prepared at the table) was one of the tastiest I have ever had, and very artistically and attractively made. The French Onion En Croute soup had a puff pastry on top rather than the standard bread/cheese. Congratulations on trying something different, but it really didn't work for me. And not quite enough cheese. Sort of bland. Maira (the Beautiful Italian) thought the Lobster Bisque was tasty but watery. She had the oyster appetizer for dinner and said it was fine, but thought the mint mignonette was an excellent touch. Our dinner companions said their main courses were "fine". I can't for the life of me remember what they had - I need to get to these reviews sooner! We had the coconut cheesecake and chocolate soufflé for desert and both were good, but nothing to write home about. Service was attentive and prompt - and of course entertaining with the caesar preparation.

Outstanding meal with the beautiful warm view...our servers MaryAnn and Keeton just made our evening...Always smiling and very attentive...loved the lavosh and she gave me plenty...the duck l' orange egg soup was so cutely prepared but oh so much flavor...loved the cleansing sorbet was perfect...while our server Keeton was so attentive I got to know him and just can't wait til he becomes the waiter...he's gonna be so great! So we had a delicious onion soup and lobster bisque...our hostess flamed our lobster and it was quite the cool presentation...she's good! Our entrees were seafood bouillabaisse and salmon a with pasta...oh my goodness my salmon had a sauce to die for and the small teeny capers made the presentation beautiful. Best salmon I've had...so darn delicious! All the while we enjoyed sparkling water, sunset daiquiri, and sweetened plantation iced tea... We finished it off with our celebration and having presented the cherries jubilee...yum yum. As always we love seeing Phillip; he's a beautiful soul and is very personable. Also shot out to Kerwin who helped us with our car! Great night!

Absolutely outstanding in every way. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner tonight. The food was superb. The service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly- the server, the busboys -such sweet guys (the guy from our hometown (Chino Hills) and the guy who's training to be a fireman)- we loved chatting with you!! Lobster bisque was a beautiful experience, delicious duck and lobster tail!! Our waiter was the epitome of professionalism and the runner was lovely. Thank you for the special anniversary dessert. Everyone, including Kerwin (I hope I have your name right), who kept us company while waiting for our Uber, and gave us a quick history of the area, we appreciate you all! We'll be back!!!

Tonight, Les and I are at Michel's for a romantic dinner, savoring oysters on the half shell, ahi tartare, escargot, and lobster bisque paired with Champagne.

We had dinner reservations and were immediately brought to our table upon arrival. The view from our table was absolutely stunning! Our waiter brought lavash, garlic butter and water for everyone and gave us a few moments to review the beverage menu. After our beverages were brought to the table, we ordered the French Onion Soup and Double Ribeye for two. The soup was absolutely delicious! We loved the puff pastry that was baked on top of the soup dish. The ribeye steak was really flavorful and big enough to fill everyone! Of course we had to save room for dessert so we bagged our leftovers and ordered the Cherry Jubilee.. OMG! This has to be my favorite dessert here.. the sauce is to die for! Needless to say, the dessert was devoured and everyone left full and happy. I highly recommend this restaurant! We've had excellent service every time we've eaten here, and the food is consistently delicious.

Everything was tasty, but if I had to pick one dish to order again, it would definitely be the kim chee fried rice, as the portion was huge & tasted yummy. We also shared a few bottles of mimosas, and the iced mocha was delicious and perfectly chocolatey. One thing to keep in mind is that it can get pretty warm, especially during the summer. They have a large covered area and can cover portions of the restaurant that are getting direct sun, but if you're visiting during the daytime, I'd definitely recommend bringing a portable fan. Mary and I had a lovely table off by the side windows had amazing views of waikiki and kaimana beach ocean waves. We had a very lovely man playing acustic guitar the whole time! He did local Hawaiian music and lots of classics. I forgot to get his name. His voice had a very good vocal range and he has good talent! I've managed to try every single spot for tea on our island. This is one of my top favorites! Our server Malia was fantastic. She was so sweet. She started us off with a mimosa with choice of pineapple or pog. I choose pog (pineapple, orange and guava). She brought over hobbs from kauai tea collection. I picked mamaki tea. My friend got spicy chai. However, I wish they had a floral tea pot or floral tea cups. I loved how there were local ladies that had their mu'umu'u attire. Liberty house (Macy's had taken over the local department stores) was one of the best places to get a mu'umu'u. We started off with these vanilla scones with whipped butter and jam. The jam was tangy and not too sweet. This jam should be for sale. It was onolicious! Malia brought over a tier koa wood set of our sandwiches and sweet treats. Because my OpenTable had preferences of my allergic reactions to certain nuts and coconuts, they did alter mine a little more. I would say they're very accommodating! Mary loved the goat cheese puff and I loved the cucumber sandwiches and we both thought the guava tart was the winner! Honestly, everything was super good. We were full and left very satisfied.
