Unbelievable! This place is five stars all the way. The service was impeccable and the food taste is out of this world. They really treat you out here at 100% comeback again and again and again.!

A must have - Truffle carbonara
    Jess V.

Cannot get enough of this place! We've already gone twice - both times we got the exact same thing - beef carpaccio and truffle carbonara. The food is top notch, best carbonara I've had outside of Rome. Service has been wonderful too, always quick, friendly, and helpful. Hoping to return soon to try something else from the menu!

    Uni pasta

This restaurant never disappoints. We always order the uni pasta and the squid ink pasta. What we usually do is order the full uni pasta and the five course meal with the squid ink pasta.

The food and atmosphere here is amazing! The menu is very authentic and the tomatoes are so fresh. Snag an outdoor if you can. Our server, Robert, was also great! He was really knowledgeable and attentive. If you're jonesing for Italian on your Hawaiian vacation, this is definitely the place to stop!

Had lunch at Taormina, food was great, I had the grilled chicken, and it was excellent. Wine selection is good and our server, Will, was fantastic. Will did an excellent job making the meal a special occasion.

    Granchio, fresh spaghetti, with crab

I loved it. The seafood brushetta is a must. Crostini type bread absolutely covered in a thick, creamy, cheese sauce. For my Mao. Course I ordered the Granchio and that's another MUST HAVE item. Fresh made spaghetti with crab. So good. We also ordered the fresh spaghetti with sea urchin, I didn't try this but my dinner companion enjoyed it. Someone else ordered the seafood pescatore and that was also very good. Everything in this place is phenomenal and thr service is top tier. So that explains why it can be so hard to get a dinner reservation, and why the place is always packed.

Location: located on Lewers St. Parking is on Helumoa Rd. Go down Lewers St, make a left on Helumoa and shortly after, valet parking will be on your left. The restaurant validates parking, $8 for 4 hours, tip not included. For my son's 18th birthday he wanted to eat pasta. After looking at many Yelp reviews, we ended up making reservations at Taormina. Unfamiliar with the menu we decided to do the five tasting course. As of 4/22/26 the base price is $125 and depending on what you choose, there are some add ons. For example the carbonara was +$25 and the Ricci di mare was +$18. Food: the Focaccia bread was free and comes with free refills. The salmon with caviar was really good. It had the perfect balance but very small, about 1.5". The next dish was the baked abalone. That was also very delicious but two bites and it's over. At this point, we were starting to think we would leave hungry. The next dish was the pasta. We tried both the carbonara and the Ricci di mare. Both were very good. The carbonara came with freshly slices truffles and thick crispy pieces of bacon. Highly recommend for truffle lovers. I'm not a huge uni fan but surprisingly the Ricci di mare was also really good. Of note, the pasta in the five course tasting is half the size of the regular order. Even at half the size, I felt the serving portion was good. I felt satisfied but not full. The next dish was the main course so filet mignon and monchong. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly but I personally didn't like the sweet sour balsamic vinegar taste that was drizzled over. I would have preferred it to be more savory. The monchong was okay but a little overcooked for my liking. The portion size of the main course was good. Lastly was our desert but to our surprise, they brought out a nicely written happy birthday platter with half a lava flow desert and a small scoop of ice cream. My son really enjoyed it. The creme caramel was also good and reminded me of flan. Service: the waitress did her job but I personally felt we had better service entering the restaurant and being seated. She had no smile, did not offer any recommendations, and no small talk which is fine but noticeable. Our bill came out to $463.87 tip not included. Though we really enjoyed the salmon and abolone I'm not sure it's worth the price and the extra three bites. Next time I would just stick with the pasta. If we had just ordered the full order of pasta our bill would've been $195.

    Lunch special

We came to dine during lunch time and enjoyed their lunch special truffle carbonara risotto. In addition, we had crab spaghetti, claim pasta and mentaiko pasta. To finish up we also had the desert assorted. They validate parking in Wyndham valet.

I looked up a "Date worthy restaurant in Waikiki that's less than $100 per person" and this was one of the top recommendations. We wanted to hang out in Waikiki while we waited for our daughter at the winter ball. This is located on Lewers, next to Beach Walk where there's lots of action. Lots of shops to browse through near by. The only challenge is parking as the only obvious one is at the Imperial Hotel but you don't get validation (only$8/hr isn't a bad deal). FYI-Embassy Suites is on the next street. The restaurant is romantic and cozy. The service was impeccable and the food was superb! My husband ordered spaghetti and I got squid ink pasta. We shared the dessert so we could try all of them. The coffee gelato was soooooo good! We sat inside ("upstairs" by the kitchen and it was cool to watch them in action. They have half of their seating outside on the patio so if you prefer outside you'll need to specify when making reservations. We forgot to tell them we were celebrating our 18th anniversary...not sure if they do anything to help celebrate but they didn't ask...probably because nearly every customer is tourist. I'd love to go back soon!!

We celebrated our friend's birthday last night and it was also restaurant week. So lucked out and ordered the restaurant week special. It was delightful. Enjoyed all the dishes and service was amazing. Everyone acknowledged my friends birthday and the restaurant atmosphere felt welcoming and lively. Perfect lovely night.

    (Lunch) Grilled Monchong

Delicious formal dining option in Waikīkī. Food is reasonably priced for the quality and location (Waikiki is not cheap!). Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Appetizers were quick to come out. Main dishes took a little while (larger party size could be the reason). Mongchong was perfectly cooked. Parking: 2 locations at hotels (valet parking at Wydham) the restaurant validates. Would recommend to both visitors and locals!

Tried the much-hyped uni pasta at this spot -- had to see what all the fuss was about. It was... okay. Not mind-blowing, but decent. The overall vibe is very upscale, almost fine-dining level. Service was top-tier: attentive, polished, and warm. Drinks were strong and well-crafted. Food, in general, was alright, but nothing that made me want to come running back. Still, glad I came and checked it out -- scratched the curiosity itch.

Love, love, love, this place. Food and service always great. You can order anything on the menu and will not be disappointed. Our favorite truffle carbonara is a must. Duck breast with fennel salad is fantastic. Kids love the pomodoro.

After looking over the menu options, we stood waiting for quite a while before anyone acknowledged us or took our order. The manager seemed rude and unwelcoming, which immediately set a negative tone for the visit. Looking back we should have trusted our first impression, but we decided to give it a chance and see what the hype was about. We each ordered a slice of pizza and took it outside to eat. After eating , we walked past the glass wall of the cafe and I noticed the manager handling and mixing flour with his bare hands, with the flour mixture covering his hands and forearms. I didn't expect to see food prep without disposable gloves and it made me uncomfortable. The pizza itself didn't make up for the experience. At around $22 per slice, I was expecting something exceptional or life-changing, instead, it was pretty underwhelming. The flavor, texture, and overall quality just didn't justify the premium price. Between the unfriendly service, concerns about food handling, and the disappointing pizza, I don't feel the experience was worth the cost of overpriced slices of pizza and I will not be returning nor will I recommend Little G Cafe to others. There are plenty of other pizza spots in Honolulu, including Boston's Pizza, that offer better value and a much more welcoming atmosphere.
