See,.it can all be so simple. I pay and get to choose what I want ! I've been eyeing this spot for a WHILE. It definitely has the late night, tucked away, and fun feel . The parking lot is small, but I was able to park with no problem. The menu is simple, but has tons of options. I got the michi and tons of toppings. I love having options so I can customize my dish to my liking. My toppings are pictured below. I took a taste of the broth first and wow whoo hooo amazing bursts of flavor!. My ramen was so flavor, I barely needed the chicken! The service was friendly and I didn't have to wait long despite so many take out orders. I dined in to get the full experience. This ramen was delicious. I highly recommend and will most definitely be back.

I just love a big bowl of yummy ramen from this location. There is plenty of parking, and you can get it to go. We each had our favorite version of broth and protein. Mine was regular michi, chicken with egg. We also ordered edemame as a side. I had their Assam milk tea, which was just perfect. He liked it so much he had to order some for himself. Sorry, no free refills, lol. I really do need to come back more often!

My co-worker was going out to lunch at Michi with some folks and he asked me if I wanted to tag along. Head out of the office for some food? Count me in! It's in a pretty nondescript building and their sign is in front of an outdoor patio that's covered. I wouldn't have known they were open from the front door. We walked in and the space was subdivided-it seemed like they converted part of it into a small Japanese style convenience store and then there was the restaurant side, which was just seating; not sure if you could have just bought snacks and had a seat at the table. Ordering was done at the counter, I got their namesake ramen with chashu with kaedama, extra noodles and a peach iced tea from their cooler. My dish arrived and there was no additional noodles on the side. Which made me wonder if my kaedama was actually included or not. I got their strongest broth for an additional upcharge and it wasn't as rich as I thought it would be. I really want that stewed in, potent, in your face porkiness but I didn't get it, it was good but not as flavorful.

A small ramen shop that serves classic Japanese ramen flavors for a decent price. I had the classic michi ramen and it came with a large bowl of noodles, a lot of vegetables, and nice slices of pork belly. Nothing crazy to write home about here but the food was decent for the price. Overall, it is not a bad food option for someone looking to satisfy their ramen cravings!

Takoyaki (6)

No bar. Order at the counter restaurant. There is a small parking lot to the left of it. Food came out fast. Favorite was the burnt ends but very salty. Also really like the friend octopus balls. Kimchi had a kick to it

Takoyaki that is missing the toppings/seasoning, which gives it half its flavor.

I'm pretty sure the staff here doesn't know their own recipes, let alone how to cook in general. I've eaten here 4 times in the last 4 months and it has been "meh" every time. Any dishes with whole chunks of meat (IE: karaage, curry, etc.) Is severely overcooked and bland. The ground meats are cooked better but still severely bland, and underseasoned. Every single time I have eaten here I got the takoyaki, and twice u got okonomiyaki fries, once the hot dogs. Every single time they were missing all the toppings their menu lists. Im actually shocked at how consistent they are with just not putting everything on your plate. Remember. The price of your food was calculated assuming everything is put on there, they are actively scamming you. Twice I ordered a rice bowl and got just.. a side of karaage with no rice or toppings. Again, scammed. The only thing that I recommend from here is the korokke, and even then it's pretty bland, and the okonomiyaki sauce has been a different color, consistency, and taste every time I've been here, which is.. very odd. Summary: food is extremely bland, meat is tough and dry, and you have to pay extra for seasoning, and they don't even put all the ingredients you paid for in the dish most of the time.

The meat is always juicy and the broth is flavorful, but it's on the pricier side for ramen... plus i don't like how they cook the egg, it's not runny and gooey.

I've given this review a lot of thought because I don't believe in leaving reviews that are sub five stars without constructive criticism. For context, I do know how to make my own ramen broths. And I come from an area in California known for very high quality ramen. My husband got the dipping ramen. I got one of the more basic ramens. My ramen arrived completely foamy. When I flagged down the waitress to ask why that was, apparently they're using some sort of hand mixer to mix the broth. That's a huge red flag to me because a really good broth shouldn't have to need such aggressive mixing like that. Perhaps it was to get whatever pace they were using properly mixed but again, I have never been to a ramen establishment that needed such an aggressive shaking of a broth. It was also a little bit too salty but other than that, the meat tasted great. The broth would have tasted great if it wasn't a little overseasoned. The meat and my husband's dish was well prepared and had a nice barbecue flavor. However, after all is said and done, we paid almost $40 for ramen that was okay and he didn't improvement as far as technique is concerned. It seemed that other reviewers of this establishment feel the same. I suggest creating more processes regarding the expectations of a good quality broth. This is Austin. There are a lot of new food establishments popping up every day and there is simply too much competition here for us to waste another $40 on ramen, when we can get an even better ramen at Blue Fin Sushi for less money.

Lean pork, marinated egg, veggies, noir
Joy S.

Don't let the abandoned look on the outside of this establishment to run you off. The food was great. I have to be super careful of my diet and Ramen is not on that list because of the soy in most dishes. The server tried to comfort me on no soy in a couple of their broths (it tasted way too yummy to be chicken broth only). The dish I had (chicken broth) was amazing. Makes me disappointed in regular Ramen from a package, The runny egg could have been cooked a tad bit more but other than that tiny complaint, it was amazing. My husband liked his dish also but the "lean" pork was too dry for his taste. When I found Michi, they claim that their chicken and beef broth doesn't have any soy items in it. So, I decided to give it a try... the worst I could have is stomach problems, so why not?, So far is been 35 minutes and I'm still not sick. I'm thinking their claim was spot on and I'm glad I tried it. Ambience - it's very dim in the dining area. The outside of the restaurant has not been taken care of so it looked closed/abandoned.

Ramen was salty and not very flavorful. The options have potential but the flavor was not there.

Still only doing takeout?

Yes

Is there any plans to return to in-person dining once we are back down to stage 3 or lower?

We are doing dine-in, takeout and delivery through Uber Eats/DoorDash!

Is the dine-in option re-opened yet or are they still takeout only?

Still takeout only 😞

Have they opened up the dining room for in-person dining yet?

Is this more of a Korean or Japanese Style Ramen?

Just as Neal said. It's primarily Japanese with some fusion like the Texas BBQ ramen. If you're looking for Korean-influenced, Haru Ramen (formerly Hanabi) is it. I don't recommend Haru though, honestly.

So excited to try this place. But which egg should I get Ajitama or Onsen?

Why not get both? The brussels are also an excellent addition!

Any gluten free options?

I believe they have a gluten free broth and instead of rice, you can get extra veggies. If you ask, the waiter can show you the "gluten free" tab on the tablet since they don't have a gluten-free menu. I don't think there are any gluten free noodle… Read more

Do they use MSG?

I was there today and they told me that everything except the veggie had msg.

From the very first sip of that rich, creamy broth, I knew this place was something special. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the pork was tender and flavorful, and every bite felt like comfort in a bowl. Honestly, it's the best ramen I've ever had--and it's not even close. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and truly make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The vibe is awesome--lively, clean, and the kind of place you want to sit, relax, and enjoy every minute of your meal. And whatever you do, don't pass up the Spicy Wings. Top-notch service, incredible food, and an unbeatable atmosphere--this place is a must-visit.

My first time wasn't too memorable and the second time I got the ultra spicy veggie ramen and it was so spicy I cried (which is good haha i have very high spice tolerance so I'm glad I found a spot that can do truly spicy). This time, I got the deluxe Chicken Paitan DX Ramen (the one that comes with the chicken leg). Chicken Paitan DX Ramen: A sweet soy glazed chicken leg is served on a hot sizzling plate with a small bed of bean sprouts marinating in the sauce. The sauce is a sticky, sweet soy sauce that is so delicious. The chicken leg itself is tender, juicy, and has a great skin texture. The skin soaks up the sauce so well and even has some nice charred bits that add to the flavor and complexity of the dish. The ramen itself was great too. A creamy rich chicken broth. I got the spicy level, so one level under the top spice level and it was perfect. Not unbearably spicy, but had a really nice underlying kick. The noodles are a thin yet snappy noodle so it made it easy to eat. I love the corn and mushroom spirals too! Overall, if you come based on this review, make sure to get the chicken paitan dx ramen. There are only 15 served in a day but ask them if they have it because I was able to get one on a Monday night at around 8PM! It's a nice space, good for a date or even a casual hangout. They have tables to accomodate parties of 1, 2, 4, and possibly 6.

Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. #5 Tsukemen/Dipping Broth ($16.50): The dipping broth wasn't umami enough to hold up as a true dipping broth, so we ended up pouring it over our noodles and eating it like a regular ramen bowl. The flavors were really good and better than the MI-SO-HOT. The only complaint about the broth was that it wasn't warm or hot. The noodles were bouncy and thick like udon, which I loved. They only gave one slice of chashu, which was disappointing, so I'm glad we added the extra Goma Pork/Sesame Seasoned Ground Pork ($2.50) and Naruto Maki ($1.50). Chashu Rice Bowl ($8.50): Good, but not as flavorful or melt-in-your-mouth as last time. #4 MI-SO-HOT (Tonkotsu) ($16): My cousin got this and it was actually bulked out with veggies. It was good, but the flavors weren't anything standout. Not super spicy either, so the heat is very tolerable.

Apr 8, 2026 review:…read more I've been at Nori two times in person and recently tried their to-go order. We got one Austin roll ($22), volcano roll ($15), creamy spicy tan tan ramen ($20), teriyaki sesame tofu yakisoba ($20). I have had their sushi and yakisoba but tried their ramen for first time. I was impressed with their packaging. As you can see in picture, veggies and noodles box was on top and soup at bottom. The only thing I didn't like how noodles became very sticky because of how tight they were packed. So I got it as cold (because I live 30 mins away) and sticky. Ramen came with all the veggies like grilled Chinese broccoli, tofu, sweet corn, marinated shiitake mushrooms, red onions and negi. Yakisoba noodles had the Stir-fried noodles tossed with cabbage, scallion, carrot, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant negi in a savory house sauce. It was good if you like this type of noodles. Austin roll had Smoked tempeh, tempura tofu, jalapeño, pickles. And on the to Avocado, roasted garlic oil, tempura flakes, smoked paprika, teriyaki. Volcano roll was a deep fried roll which had spinach, avocado, sweet potato. On top: spicy mayo, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, Caviart and tempura onion.
