wow wow wow!!! where do i beginnnnn!! one thing about me is i'm always craving noodles and found this restaurant near me but almost decided to go to a different spot because parking is so terrible by UT campus BUT i'm sooo glad i didnt pass on this restaurant. This small, clean, and friendly restaurant was everything i was looking for. The server was incredibly helpful and answer all the questions I had. Their menu was huge and i wanted everything and couldnt decide what to order. At the end, i got biang biang noodles, cumin beef dry noodles, and yibin noodles and let me tell you, my FAVORITE noodle spot in austin, by FAR. cumin beef and biang biang noodles are handmade noodles and the texture and consistency is TO DIE FOR the flavors of these three dishes are satiating and perfect. My boyfriend and i had no time to talk and just kept spinning the three bowls of noodles around in a circle unable to decide which one was our favorite. We cannot stop thinking about and talking about the noodles and are already wanting to go back. Oh also, i am chinese and think this spot is incredibly authentic and satisfied any and all cravings I had. This place will be added to my weekly restaurant rotation!!

I went to 1914 Noodles and More to eat a quick lunch with my partner. The restaurant was fairly empty with plenty of seeds. I ordered the Dandan noodles, it comes in a huge portion for just $13. My partner ordered the Yaki udon fried tofu and the serving for that was also large. The food here is delicious and the staff is so kind unhelpful. They are also really really fast. The ambience isn't very high end, it's quite a low-key, rundown spot, but the food is delicious. I would recommend ordering for pick up too!

A pretty good Chinese noodle spot serving up big portions for affordable prices. The location is right off the UT campus in a small restaurant so seating was very limited. The staff were really friendly and helpful in the ordering process. Onto the food, I ordered the classic beef noodle soup in a spicy version. The chili oil was fragrant but not too spicy, definitely would add some more in the future. The bowl of noodles themselves were decently flavored but the real star was the noodles. They had really good texture and held the broth well. There were also a lot of noodles that came with the meal which was a big bonus! Overall, was pretty impressed with the meal itself. For the price, the flavors and the amount of food you get, I would recommend this place for those reasons!

I go for the Szechuan dishes, they're spicy tingly in a different way unlike anything else, haha if we had Szechuan bbq ribs well anyways maybe the children haven't been born yet but I will enjoy and support it while I can. I said extra they gave me mild

Surprising ambiance for such a small place- casual and cozy. Got a shrimp fried rice and it came out quickly. I enjoyed it- definitely had flavor and the shrimp was cooked well. My only thing is that it got rather oily towards the end which made me a little nauseous.

Came after church services with my friend as it was a few feet away. The menu looked good, we didn't have to re-park our cars & were short on time so we decided to give it a shot. We weren't sure if it was a seat yourself restaurant or if a waitress/waiter would seat us? Then there were 2 auto-order stands that at first I thought just showed better visuals for the items? Was this a low-contactless establishment? Not sure of the drill until a waitress explained to us that we had the option of ordering from the laminated menu or auto-order machines. I used the machine, my friend used the laminated menu & we grabbed our seats. Condiments like Soy Sauce, hot chili oil, dried onions & Sriracha aren't on the table. You have to walk to a separate area & squeeze them into small plastic containers. Tables have Chopsticks & Forks/Knives in a bin. I ordered a Beef Egg Noodle Soup that had beef slices & baby Bok Choy. My friend had a noodle dish that tasted like Pad Thai with a slight spice. Dishes came out quickly & I tasted my soup. The broth wasn't rich nor satisfying even with a bit of Sriracha & Soy added. They didn't even have Hoisin Sauce on the side? The beef tasted old as if it had been in the freezer too long. It was a disappointment & I actually stopped eating it. My friend liked her dish & was getting full. She saw I was disappointed & shared her dish with me & tasted my soup, offering to switch dishes with me. There were a few college students nearby & a couple of Asian guys sitting next to us who ordered 2 dishes that looked really good. I think one was braised or stir-fry. The other was a noodle soup dish. They seemed to know what to order & finished off their food before we did even though they were seated after us. I don't think I'll be back & I should've taken the recommendation for the Pho place nearby. It's really what I wanted.

Located on Guad, this is an easily accessible place for UT Austin students. The ordering process is on a kiosk, which allows for easy ordering and adjustments. There is a good amount of seating in the restaurant and is decently quiet. I ordered the braised beef noodle soup (light spice). The beef was tender and the broth was manageable for someone with low spice tolerance. The noodles in and of itself were ok and the broth was slightly oily with not too much flavor substance to it. Overall a decent place for noodles in Austin.

My friend was not happy with her beef noodle order. I tried it and it was bland. Mi e though was good. I had lo mein and it was not extraordinary but good access Asian choice in a campus. Def not a tourist spot but an everyday accessible affordable spot to eat for students or church goers. Church was nearby. Typical neighborhood Asian food truck atmosphere. Service was ok but expected in a food truck corner place. The staff was friendly enough.

Such a sweet little spot! The staff was really kind and welcoming, and the ramen was delicious! Great broth, fresh toppings, and noodles cooked just right. It wasn't over the top, just really good food and good vibes. I'll definitely be back!

The Chicken Katsu was amazing the broth had the perfect amount of spice and the pork gyozo was also really great. The Cashier was very attentive and paid attention to us constantly and the place looked great

There were water, bowls, utensils, and sauces in the lobby for anyone to grab, which was nice. We ordered their cucumber salad, beef noodle soup, and lamb noodle soup. Cucumber salad was 2/5. It wasn't the authentic smashed cucumber salad, the flavor was missing something, and I mean, for $7 or $8, you would think it would be amazing....it's not. Pretty disappointing, I'd much rather have my sister's over these. Beef noodle soup was meh. Nothing special. Broth was very simple, like they just added salt and that's it. Meat was cooked very well. My soup came with 1 piece of lettuce, weird.. Lamb noodle soup was the same as the beef noodle soup; it did come with the black fungus, seaweed, tofu, and some vermicelli clear noodles, along with their handmade noodles. Made sense why it was only $13.95 for the noodle soups. It's reasonably priced probably due to not being authentic, though, I wouldn't pay more than $10. They had handmade noodles, which many people do like. However, their noodles were very bland, along with their soup. I didn't find anything special here either. Maybe I'll get their dumplings or fried noodles the next time we come, but it's a no for me.

It's actually very cute inside--they put some effort into the place (unlike Sushi Warriors or Dumpling World). There were four people on the floor and a very nice Gen Z'er still tried to get us to use the QR code on the table, which we loathe, so we appreciated that they had actual menus to pass out. No beers on tap, but they've got the usual stuff in bottles. We started with the chilled cucumber salad, and it was a crunchy and fresh beginning which we enjoyed. For mains, the three of us shared Dan Dan Noodles, steamed pork dumplings, and the chicken wonton soup. Everything was good. The dumplings were sturdy and tender, the noodles had just the right amount of peppercorn, and the wontons were also tasty. There's nothing outstanding here, but everything is well done for what it is, so there's nothing to complain about and the prices are fair for the overall value. We're landing on three stars, but it's a happy three because we do like this place, and we can see ourselves coming back because our daughter is obsessed with dumplings.

My first time wasn't too memorable and the second time I got the ultra spicy veggie ramen and it was so spicy I cried (which is good haha i have very high spice tolerance so I'm glad I found a spot that can do truly spicy). This time, I got the deluxe Chicken Paitan DX Ramen (the one that comes with the chicken leg). Chicken Paitan DX Ramen: A sweet soy glazed chicken leg is served on a hot sizzling plate with a small bed of bean sprouts marinating in the sauce. The sauce is a sticky, sweet soy sauce that is so delicious. The chicken leg itself is tender, juicy, and has a great skin texture. The skin soaks up the sauce so well and even has some nice charred bits that add to the flavor and complexity of the dish. The ramen itself was great too. A creamy rich chicken broth. I got the spicy level, so one level under the top spice level and it was perfect. Not unbearably spicy, but had a really nice underlying kick. The noodles are a thin yet snappy noodle so it made it easy to eat. I love the corn and mushroom spirals too! Overall, if you come based on this review, make sure to get the chicken paitan dx ramen. There are only 15 served in a day but ask them if they have it because I was able to get one on a Monday night at around 8PM! It's a nice space, good for a date or even a casual hangout. They have tables to accomodate parties of 1, 2, 4, and possibly 6.

The bowl itself came loaded with meat--they definitely weren't skimping to save money here. The meat-to-noodle ratio felt great, and every bite actually had substance instead of leaving me fishing around for toppings. As for the broth, I landed somewhere in the middle. It wasn't quite as clear or light as I personally prefer, leaning toward a fattier, milkier undertone that almost reminded me of a Vietnamese pho take on tonkotsu. The flavor itself was undeniably very good, but the richness may have been a bit too much for me personally. One way I usually judge how much I love a pho broth is whether I want to sip the bowl down to the very end, and this one wasn't quite light enough for me to want to do that. I've had richer and deeper pho flavors elsewhere, but I still appreciated the flavor profile here and could absolutely see why this place is so popular. It feels hearty, comforting, and satisfying in a way that clearly resonates with many people. Despite how packed the restaurant was, the atmosphere ended up being surprisingly pleasant. Service moved very quickly, which honestly impressed me given how busy everything felt. Even with the crowd, I didn't dislike the spacing or setup at all--the restaurant still felt comfortable, and the sound of people enjoying their food all around added to the lively, welcoming energy rather than making it feel overwhelming. Overall, Pho Phong Lưu ended up being one of those places where I completely understood the hype, even if it didn't become my personal favorite pho spot. While the broth leaned richer than my preference, I still enjoyed the experience and definitely look forward to trying other dishes next time.
