Fresh, healthy and delicious! I stopped by the place with my friend to get a healthy dinner and wow was I impressed! It's located in doral, so there's definitely some Venezuelan influence! For starters we had their whole wheat tequeños that come with a cilantro garlic sauce. The tequeños are baked so they definitely feel healthy and the order comes with 4 portions. I had the tuna poke as my main course and it was refreshing and very filling. You can choose your base with either jasmine rice, brown rice or quinoa. I chose the quinoa to be on the "lighter" side. The portions are REALLY BIG! Poke bowl came topped with platanitos, mangoes, scallions and their special poke sauce. My favorite part of the meal was the drink :) I had the coconut lemonade which is DELICIOUS! Made with coconut cream and fresh limes (no sugar added and all organic). What a delight it was to eat here!! Venezuelan inspired food, but with a unique touch. The food is beyond delicious, and the service is outstanding, super friendly and caring. They were attentive to anything we needed and were very patient!! We ordered their famous whole wheat tequeños as an appetizer, then we had the craziest, yet yummiest Paris pizza, and the ceviche tostones, and for dessert, we tried Nutella stuffed tequeños!!!! It was a first for the majority of the food we ate but it was very exciting to try something new and that good! We left highly satisfied and with smiles in our faces! My girlfriend and I visited at around 2 p.m. on a Sunday. We were greeted by what seemed to be an extremely annoyed worker. After literally asking us, "what do you want to eat," we ordered a salad and a poke bowl. We waited for our simple lunch plates while seeing customers that arrived AFTER us order pizzas, pastas, and salads. They were able to eat, pay, and leave the restaurant BEFORE we even got our food. I understand restaurants can get very busy, but a salad and poke bowl? You don't even have to cook that! To make things worse, the rice in the poke bowl was hard. We waited for low quality food. All in all, this seemed like a healthy and good option at first. I got the spinach curry chicken wrap. It was pretty good and had okay flavor but too much dressing. And, it tasted like chicken kitchen curry. The poke tostones were awesome! Only great thing we had. They have no sides to eat here and my friends salad was good it again over dressed. The worst thing about this place beside paying $10 for a wrap and no side for lunch, gratuity was included!? Why? Who knows but why ask me to tip when they picked the 15% already. They obviously don't realize tips are earned not a part of an already expensive lunch bill. read more

So this place was recommended by a Freud' and for once I'm glad I listened to her .presentation of the food was gorgeous besides the rice balls that were subpar and soggy due to the marinera that should have came on the side .as for taste , the main reason that I am going back .the ceviche and tuna tostones were flawless , perfect bites packing flavor , can't wait to indulge in it again .the poke bowl was the second star of the day.i wish all the ingredients of the bowl would shine as equally as the tuna to really make for a fun picture but with time im sure they will work on that presentation .i highly recommend this place . read more

The food used to me much better. The customer service is very bad and I have given them different opportunities. I used to come more often but my boss started telling me that the service was so slow and I realized about it today. The organization of the kitchen is bad, customer service is not good and during lunch hours, I don't see managers or supervisors making decisions to improve customer experience. Excuses are that they are busy, but when I got there only 3-4 tables had people. So anyways, food is not as good as before and instead of seeing improvements in service, I see it even worse. read more

This is my 2nd time at Michis! I tried the arancinis made in the air fyer, I was amazed with the flavor! I never thought it would taste as a real arancini! I ordered the Reina Wrap, inspired in the Venezuelan "Reina Pepeada" arepa and it was great too. A friend ordered the special of the day, a plantain kind of lasagna (it's made with layers of plantains, instead of pasta) and it was to die for. My friend picked this location for us to eat brunch. I wasn't sure what to expect since he doesn't pick the best spots. When we first pulled into the parking lot, I noticed there was indoor and outdoor dining. I chose indoor dining. We were introduced and given a plastic menu badge which I loved considering every other restaurant has broken stickers on the table. I ordered Michi's Coffee which is hot Cuban coffee along with a cup filled half way with ice cream, the other half is whipped cream with caramel and chocolate syrup. As someone who doesn't like coffee, this was a great treat! We then ordered the criollo and the Pabellon Hipster bowl. The Criollo Bowl came with beans, sweet plantains, two fried eggs, 2 quinoa arepas, fried cheese, and shredded chicken. The Pabellon Hipster bowl came with rice, beans, sweet plantains, and shredded chicken. I want to point out how juicy and delicious their shredded chicken is. I'm going to crave that again soon lol. Completely stuffed and satisfied I ordered a to-go box and received a reusable container! That was neat. For desert I got the CBD matcha tres Leche, barely tasted matcha, but still so delicious! 42 minute wait for an arepa!!! I couldn't believe a breakfast would take that long, I asked my server and her answer was "we are full ". When the arepa finally quinoa arrived It was healthy and tasteless, the coffee is from a machine and wasn't good so I changed it for a turmeric tea. First time visiting Michi's and I had a great experience. I've heard about this place for a while now from a close friend and then a foodie friend of mine recommended that I go and check it out. I went for some breakfast meal, although they do serve other types of food like poke, pizzas, arepas etc. I was greeted by the servers who were very nice. I also met the owner who made sure I was taken care of. I had the opportunity to try their Loquito Icon smoothie and I think that is one of my fave smoothies! Made with blueberries, vanilla whey, bananas and almond butter. They make it in-house so you're sure it's made fresh. Then I tried the Fancy Egg, which are poached eggs with a side of avocado and feta cheese and it also comes with multigrain croissant. The portions were good, not too small or big. I had high expectations for the breakfast at Michi's after looking at their menu. Their menu look very creative, healthy and had beautiful pictures but that is the best part of the restaurant. When we started ordering they didn't have the tea options that they had on the menu, they didn't have waffles that was also in the menu besides was very frustrating trying to order the food when the waitress didn't speak English. For the third time in as many weeks, I ordered a Tuna Poke Bowl and it was horrible. The kitchen forgot to cook the rice this time in both bowls. When I called they offered me a $4 coupon when two meals were over $40. They have no clue on what they are doing and I waited nearly 30 minutes for takeout. Their concept is great. I'm all about healthy food but the prices for the portion sizes and overall service left us disappointed. The Arepas are quite small for the price and don't really fill you up at all. The Carrot Cake Pancakes looked nice as far as appearance but they were fairly tasteless and needed a lot more frosting than what it was decorated with, the portion was the only thing that I was satisfied with. I walked in with my cousin and the restaurant was empty so I asked Francis if we could sit in the larger table and she told us no for some reason so we got the food To-go then we decided to eat at the restaurant because we waited quite a while and they told us that we CAN'T EAT THE FOOD THEY JUST MADE at the restaurant because of company policy and I found that ridiculous. The policy should be to treat clients well. Overall service is unprofessional but the chef in the back does a tremendous job food is delicious.
